Mayor Bloomberg said Ratner should use the Gehry design. That's unlikely now, though, considering Ratner and Gehry didn't get along very well. Ratner pretty much hated the design also. Bloomberg also criticized the critics for stalling the project into these economic times.

One more series in the regular season between these two teams in September, which will a 3 game set in the Bronx. The season series stands at 9-6 in favor of the Red Sox. The Yanks have won 6 of the last 7.

I don't understand why stadiums have that gap, though. It's frustrating for the outfielder when he expect the ball to ricochet and it goes into the gap instead.

A new record set for runs scored by the Yankees and BoSox in a three game set, pretty crazy. Also, I think this was Beckett's first loss at Fenway this year. He also gave up a career high five HR's in the game, though he went eight frames. Not the best baseball we've played, but we took 2 out of 3, so we played well enough, overall at least. Great series for Matsui with two 2 HR games. Jeter continued the hot hitting after having his hit streak snapped yesterday. Great bounce back game, and great pitching by the ace.

That was some shot by Seth Smith, wow. Frustrating loss for the Giants, considering Helton could have been out at home had Garko not cut off the throw, and Lincecum, who was already over his average pitches per game, could have been taken out of the game with a warmed up pitcher prior to giving up the two run HR.

The Qur'an was actually revealed piece by piece. The first revelations were in Ramadan, though they kept on coming afterwards. I don't think it's observed because of the revelation or based on any occurrence, Ramadan is just considered a holy month, though I may be wrong. And Ramadan Mubarak.

Yeah it can and should be placed horizontally. I read it cools better.

I love the homepage. The YouTube feed is great, you can even shuffle through all the videos without having to open up a new page. Two suggestions. Is there anyway to collapse the online list so it's not empty on the right? Also, since the group icons are here, maybe the "Group: ..." under the icon should be taken out. Come NBA season, maybe we can have a daily post count tracker at the bottom of the index.

Well unfortunately, Burnett's ERA is over 4, Jeter's hitting streak is over, the best we can do is tie the season series, and we, once again, barely score for AJ. But in the end, it's only one loss and we're still 6.5 up.

Not after losing the first eight games of the season series.

Yesterday was free batting average night. Today is boost your ERA day.

That was quite a sloppy game, but hey, when you put up 20 runs, you may as well put in a guy who hasn't pitched in weeks, a guy coming off injury, and a shaky starter. And Mitre has good stuff. He showed that backdoor curveball last year, but the question is whether he can be consistent, which he hasn't exactly been. For now, we have him, Bruney, and Robertson to use when starters don't go very far, and then we have Aceves, Coke, Hughes, and Rivera for the later parts of the game, which looks like a pretty strong bullpen. Nice offensive performance yesterday .

When you turn it off, just switch it off from the front. I always leave the back switch on and keep it on standby. I don't think it's good for the system if you always turn off the back switch.

What mistakes did you notice last year that Lawrence Frank needs to correct this upcoming season? Give Brook Lopez the ball more frequently It's no coincidence that the team would suddenly quicken the pace with scoring when the ball was put in Lopez's hands. The Nets haven't had someone who can post up like Brook in years. Not only that, he showed that he has quite a jump shot as well. He will draw contact and he hits his free throws. We hardly saw him attempt unacceptable shots, either. Hopefully, Lopez won't have to return to the bench so quickly this season due to questionable foul calls, so we can expect to see him on the floor more often. That should mean a lot more touches, seeing what numbers the center put up last year. More High Percentage Shots We saw way, way too many low percentage shot attempts last year. Simmons loved shooting from the corner, Carter rarely got to the basket, and you'd want to stop watching the game if you saw Yi take another shot. This ties in with giving Lopez the ball more. He's not afraid of being in the paint. Neither is Harris. Terrence Williams is strong near the basket as well. If we can take advantage, why not? Share your thoughts.

Well our main problems against them come on the road. Hopefully we can finish with the best record in the AL so we get home field throughout.

Gaudin pitched very well yesterday, his only problem was that he had just one 1-2-3 inning. But he did a good job of getting out of trouble. Aceves leads the majors in wins for a reliever with 8.

Unfortunately, it looks like Boston is about back on track. Bay and Ortiz both homered last night and Boston's offense didn't seem to have much trouble of Halladay. I believe I heard Ellsbury is one steal away from tying the franchise single season record.

I still think the July 1, 2004 was crazier. Boston had bases loaded with no one out and A-Rod thought he had a triple play, but it was only a DP. Jeter dove into the stands and had to leave the game, so they moved Rodriguez over to shortstop and moved Sheffield over to third. In one inning, the Red Sox didn't want the Yankees scoring on a single up the middle, so they used five infielders and two outfielders. Then Manny hit a solo HR in the top of the 13th inning, and the Yankees rallied with two outs and no one on base in the bottom of the 13th to win the game. I think that game ended at almost 1.

I remember we couldn't do this on the old OTR, but would it be possible to have a widget or some time of box that showed our recently posted YT videos?
