  2. Swish ended his 0-19 slump with a single in the third inning, then singled in the fifth, and finally hit his first HR of the season in the seventh.
  3. Yankees up 2-0 without a hit against Edwin Jackson. He's at 77 pitches through four innings, so he'll have to quicken the pace enough to finish with no more than 149.
  4. Started off as taekwondo638, then Knightmare, and then Waldo for a couple years up until a few days ago. You definitely went by another username when I first joined OTR. Can't quite remember what it was, though.
  5. Photo Gallery of Deron and BK at the Construction Site Deron's Facebook Page
  6. Survey A 1. What type of smartphone do you use? HTC EVO 4G 2. How often do you check your phone? a. 1-5 minutes b. 5-20 minutes c. 20-60 minutes d. 1-3 hours e. 3-24 hours 3. What applications do you use your smartphone for? (Mail, SMS, Calls, Games, etc.) SMS, e-mail, score tickers, NYTimes, and of course internet 4. How would you feel if you were forced to downgrade from your smartphone back to a regular phone? Very strange feeling whenever I flip open my old phone. I'd be very frustrated through the adjustment period. 5. Do you feel that a lot of smartphone features are unnecessary? If yes, which features specifically? Off the top of my head, nothing. Everyone has their own reason for getting one. As long as the smartphone isn't being used like laptop or regular gaming system, it's serving it's purpose, in my opinion. 6. Would you say that you use your smartphone more than your laptop on a daily basis? (desktop) Nah, there's quite a difference in the usage of the two. 7. On a scale of 1-10, how reliant are you on your smartphone for everyday tasks? 7 8. Would you say that you are “addicted” to your phone? Yep, I probably need to cut down on usage.
  7. We've narrowed the deficit from 800+ to almost 450. Nice work, guys.
  8. Ward Melville surged out of nowhere. They have four times as many votes as students enrolled. I'm interested in seeing whether they get disqualified.
  9. Wow, can't believe I forgot to write that. John P. Stevens, fourth column.
  10. http://www.vans.com/customculture/ http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=210834398940317 John P. Stevens, fourth column (Northeast region). The contestants representing our school have come a long way. If they come out on top in the contest, our school wins $50,000. It's been years since the school budget got passed in our town, so that makes this especially big. Voting ends at midnight, Eastern time. We're a bit behind, but I've noticed that we're making a run. Voting, spreading the word, etc. is very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  11. First up: change OTR password. I'll get to the other stuff eventually.
  12. First two-game losing streak of the season. We're the last team in the league to have a two-game losing streak this season. So many frustrating things going on right now, particularly Jeter/Swisher/Gardner and the bullpen, that you almost forget that we're 12-8.
  13. Thank God new credit card was issued a couple months ago.
  14. Jeter has mastered the art of the infield single.

  17. It's probably most convenient for Orlando, salary-wise and talent-wise, to receive Bynum in a package. Houston can definitely compete with Jersey's and LA's pieces, but a commitment from Dwight to play in Houston is the main issue, I'd say. The Nets obviously took the same risk of dealing for Deron without a commitment from him, but Houston isn't presenting a new $950 million arena in a location like Brooklyn.
  18. Atlanta tried to build on a five-point lead but turned the ball over and watched the lead trim to 3. Next possession, they ran down the shot clock and tried to make it a two-possession game, and a shot clock violation ensued. Orlando ball, trailing 84-81.
