A-Rod with 11 homers in 11 games.
-
Got that right. I'd probably be rocking my D-Will t-shirt for the third time in the last week. I don't think it's a fluke. Ever since D-Will came, Outlaw has been showing the productivity late in games that he displayed in Portland.

Sasha met this kid before the February 28 game. Video

They beat us at the United Center in December. But they've lost 19 of their last 21 road games against Jersey.
-
D-James scheduled to start tonight! Ross expected to make his return as well. There were less than 1000 tickets available Tuesday. Another sellout tonight, and hopefully this is the best crowd support we get up to this point.
-
Morrow and Gaines cap off the third with one 3 each! 67-61 Jersey going into the fourth.
-
Fourth sellout in five games. Nets brought it close in the second quarter, and now the teams are going back and forth.
-
Go Knicks. I'll probably be saying that for six of their remaining games (two against Indiana, two against Milwaukee, one against Detroit, one against Charlotte).

Oh, and we're now 5.5 games back of the eighth seed with 18 games to go!

Farmar and Lopez combine for the last 26 points. Humphries with a career-best 20 boards, along with 19 points (perfect 8-8 from the field). We overcame a 20-point deficit from the second quarter into the third. There were multiple mentions in the post-game interviews about how the team we had earlier in the year wouldn't have been able to execute and bounce back the way these guys did tonight. 18,511 in attendance: arguably the best fan support we've received this season. Fans showed up a bit late (by the way, there's talks about changing the time back to 7:30), but we eventually filled up all but about 200 of the seats. Lopez's go-ahead shot in regulation was a beauty. The way he was able to create space when it appeared Jordan had him trapped shows how gifted a post-up player he is. Hump did an incredible job matching up with Griffin. Griffin fell one board shy of a double-double. Humphries also took two key charges late. He said the following earlier. Iannazzone Incredible job by Farmar. It seemed like he knocked down 3's at the perfect moments. Avery told him that practice would be over if he hit a three during the last practice, and he hit the shot. Got him ready for pressure situations tonight. 5 shots made from beyond the arc (24 points) and 7 assists. 24 points for Brook as well alongside 7 boards. Great effort all-around. You can see the change in Outlaw's game over recent games. Gaines has impressed with the energy he's been bringing to the floor.

Sullinger 2-12 FG, 16-18 FT. 20 points, 18 boards.

20 wins on the season, 16-16 at home, and a W3. We also avoid getting swept by Golden State for the third straight year.

First three-game winning streak since we had a four-game streak in February of 2009. Gaines got another 10-day contract and played extremely well in extended playing time today. Our offense got going almost as soon as he came on the court. I'm thrilled that Brandan Wright finally made his debut. If there's one good thing coming out of having only 10 healthy bodies, it's that Avery decided to give minutes to the new Nets. Wright needs to muscle up, but his athleticism was definitely showcased today.

Oklahoma City at Philadelphia
Teletopez replied to Real Deal's topic in Philadelphia 76ers Team Forum
Philly was up 5 with 2:19 left and went scoreless for the rest of regulation. Durant had a 2-point jumper and the game-tying 3 to send the game to OT. -
Anyone see the end to the Rutgers-St. John's game? Rutgers should have had two free throws for delay of game and possession with 1.7-1.9 seconds left... if you don't take the over-the-back into account. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlOWkNBxlTo

Messina In Line for Nets Assistant's Job?
Teletopez replied to Universe's topic in Brooklyn Nets Team Forum
Funny, I was thinking of the possibility of bringing him aboard as an assistant coach a couple days ago. He dismissed interest in the NBA last season. You wonder if he has his eyes open either to the head coaching job in Toronto or an assistant coaching spot in Jersey. -
PS Move has been a much bigger hit than expected if that interests you. As for games, Killzone 3 and LittleBigPlanet 2 have both been very successful. You obviously can't go wrong with MLB '11.

Golden State at Philadelphia
Teletopez replied to Real Deal's topic in Philadelphia 76ers Team Forum
Monta Ellis has scored Golden State's last 14 points. Two 3's in the final 11 seconds of regulation. -
The playbook won't disappear after five games. As long as the players play comfortably by it and it's successful, it remains.

Thanks, man! If I remember correctly, the avatar is fan-designed. Gr8ness is D-Will's persona. I changed up the Jazz colors from one of his t-shirts designs to make them Nets colors. http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/37175_154534184586167_110734758966110_247772_3580199_n.jpg As for the Brooklyn logo in my signature, the team sought trademark protection on the logo last month.

Humphries has been stacking the boards all year, but his contributions on the offensive end have increased. It's Lopez whose rebounds have gone up. The likely cause of that is that Avery had to adjust the playbook, which has placed Pez closer to the basket more often. Not only is he getting more opportunities to grab rebounds, but he's been an easy target for D-Will.
-
Lopez fouled out at the start of the second OT. He had 30 points, 13 boards, and 5 at the end of regulation. Deron had 19 points and 16 assists before OT, and Humphries had 16 points and 14 rebounds. We were tied at 110 heading into overtime. If these numbers were capped off here, we may not be in the same standing for these stat categories, but these are impressive statistics regardless. Even ignoring numbers, we are a much faster-paced offense, and we've had few cold streaks in any of these recent games. All this without Deron participating in a practice since he arrived. And Outlaw had his best (maybe only) clutch performance of the year. I don't need numbers to tell you that.
