  1. @SI_JonHeyman Eventful day in Boston.
  2. Ugly signs, especially after that loss to Charlotte. Hawks, Mavericks, and Lakers next in line.
  3. Presumably due to his shoulder issues and that he was reportedly asking for eight years when the Sox only wanted six. Negotiations will probably continue, but the Sox had seemingly stolen A-Gon with that original deal.
  4. No Durant when we played OKC, and no Rondo today. We haven't seen Rondo in either of the first two games against Boston.
  5. wade county - there was a point where he stopped posting on the old OTR. Dark Hero - also Brand New, if I remember correctly Brian 2.0 - The Artesticle VinsanityFan - OldChili ryan21baller - I don't believe he re-registered Gil-Zero - JWall noyz - one of the Heat fans, not sure if he re-registered desi tmac91 - Dash Nashfan (Jeremy) - LocalGunFighter
  6. Another triple-double for T-Will, this time in an OT loss. 32 points on 12-22 shooting and 4-5 from the arc, 10 rebounds, and 12 assists.
  7. The back-and-forth has sparked the return of a rivalry that both fanbases are enjoying. It's an entertaining stepping stone as the Atlantic Yards project progresses. This is the first time in a while where I can crack fun at the Dolans, asbestos, and whatever else and expect a response.
  8. Reports were that the Sox would send 3-4 guys. Originally, one was expected to be Major League talent, quite possibly Kalish or Iglesias. Now, no Major League players are expected to be in the deal. Latest report is that the package includes Casey Kelly, Anthony Rizzo, and Reymond Fuentes, Carlos Beltran's cousin. Gonzalez has one year left on his current contract at $6M. @SI_JonHeyman @BobKlap
  9. I've found myself frustrated at the end of so many of these Nets-Bobcats games as of late, because this is one of those teams that is capable of catching a seventh or eighth seed, but at the same time we are capable of beating them, something that would give us a mental boost. Yet, the Bobcats do the small things like hit their FT's and are full of pesky players, led by Gerald Wallace. Meanwhile, we have frequent sloppy games against them, such as these low-scoring games and the final ever Nets game at the Izod Center, and we lose shots at W's.
  10. OT, and still our lowest scoring game of the season. Almost as absent offensively for both sides as Nets @ Bobcats early last year where the teams combined for 147 points. Wouldn't be surprised if Avery holds a shootaround tomorrow. Next four games are Sunday against Boston at the Pru before visiting the Hawks, visiting the Mavs, and hosting the Lakers.
  11. We have a typical high-scoring first quarter score as the halftime score. Our first trip to Charlotte last year was also quiet offensively. We lost that game 79-68.
  12. My thoughts exactly while watching the game last night. I figured TNT may have toned down the crowd noise a bit, but even then, the first few times VC returned to Toronto were awfully loud.
  13. I'm also hoping that they don't blow out his arm trying to get the most out of his talent before he heads for the MLB.
  14. The Yankees were on the verge of dealing Cervelli to the Dodgers for Russell Martin, but concerns about his health halted the talks between the two teams. I suppose we're being extra wary following Nick Johnson's season. What are everyone's thoughts on Yu Darvish? Plans are for him to play in Japan one more year before taking offers from MLB clubs. Following Dice-K's up and down stretches in Boston, the price for Darvish may be cheaper.
  15. Red Sox, Angels, and a third team all offered Mo three-year deals, possibly for more money, but he chose to accept the Yankees' 2-year, $30M offer.
  16. He had a two-game suspension for reasons that were never made public. It was just stated that he violated team policy multiple times. They recently took partial control of the Springfield Armor and decided to send him there.
  17. 16 points on 5-19 shooting, 15 rebounds, 13 assists, and 4 fouls in just under forty minutes of action. Springfield won 116-112. Box Score Update: T-D for T-Will in his second D-League game as well.
  18. Considering the hype for this game, I expect Miami to at least show alertness and be more careful with play execution. We may see the Heat their fans have been yearning to see. Then again, they seem to be working their way around having to put James at the center of the workload.
  19. In the spirit of tonight's Heat-Cavs matchup, share the infamous player returns that you find most memorable, both NBA and non-NBA. I must say that VC vs. Toronto was extra special, being that the Air Canada Center is very loud, and those fans never left Carter alone. It became interesting when the Nets and Raptors met in the first round of the 06-07 playoffs. In an ocean of games where Carter struggled, he did have some epic performances. He scored 24 of his 42 points in a regular season game in Toronto including a buzzer-beater. And more recently, this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsXjo2TdjRE
  20. I'm all for creativity on the Clevelanders' parts, but going to a personal level (Delonte, Bron's dad) with the opposition is taking it too far, without a doubt.
  21. Reminds me of 2004 Semis Game 5 between us and Detroit. Billups hit a halfcourt 3 at the buzzer to send the game to OT. It eventually went to 3OT but the Nets came away with a 127-120 victory.
