  1. http://atdhe.net/10497/watch-denver-nuggets-vs-philadelphia-76ers AI and Billups don't seem to be getting along too well. I like what Iverson's doing. He's been trying to find his rhythm, and in the mean time, he's been moving the ball around well.

  3. Well the talks are either Joba or Hughes + either Jesus Montero or Austin Jackson (two of our top prospects). I don't know which way to go. Either you get Halladay and go for the kill in these next 5 years or so, or you have some pretty impressive young guys that have 15+ years left in their careers.
  4. Our bullpen's primary strength came from Hughes, Coke, Aceves, Joba (in the playoffs) and Mo. Then came Robertson, Marte, and Bruney. Our primary strength is still with us, assuming Joba or Hughes don't go to Toronto in a Halladay deal. I also think Robertson has great stuff and can be very valuable to us.
  5. The Yankees traded Brian Bruney to the Nationals for a player to be named. The Yankees have also reportedly started negotiating a return with Andy Pettitte.

  8. Another third quarter collapse after an impressive first half. I don't know why we lose all our momentum after looking strong in the first two quarters. We allowed way too many offensive boards. The Knicks had 15 offensive rebounds and overall, 48 rebounds to our 32. Lopez and Harris went quiet in the second half, and Courtney Lee didn't show much presence throughout. We put the ball in CDR's hands a lot, and he was impressive. As for T-Will, I hope he can get back on track soon.
  9. Nah, it's not that bad once you get used to it. The rest of the phone compensates for it anyway, haha.
  10. I had also narrowed it down to the enV3 and Alias 2. They were both the same price. The Alias 2 was more appealing to me, so I upgraded to that, but I guess you could go either way. Both phones have a $50 discount online price, by the way.
  11. I got the Alias 2 a week ago. My only problem with it is the slow reaction time after commands. Other than that, it's great. Have you considered the Droid?
  12. Lopez's hustle down the court before the Bobcats could get positioned was another way around the double-team. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EunKAtJqI38

  14. Well I was glued to the game the whole time, so I didn't get to post my thoughts in between. But a LOT went on. I was getting really frustrated with T-Will. He went as far as 0-8, and he made some pretty bad decisions, including a short jumper on a fast break and an unnecessary 3. That threw us off a bit when we could have gone ahead in situations. Charlotte was clearly double-teaming Lopez, and we did extremely well in moving the ball around to get others, especially Lee, involved. Lopez was incredible despite the defensive pressure. This was a huge game for Lee also, with everyone saying he was out of shape. Watching the game, it certainly didn't feel like Charlotte scored just 91. We had a lot of trouble stopping them before the fourth. They took advantage of open shots and drew fouls to keep slipping away the first three quarters. Wallace was killer early on, and Felton and Jackson were on a hot streak throughout. Thankfully, though, we made key stops. Maybe it was the feeling of a new start for the Nets with Kiki in charge. Maybe it was more resting time for a couple of our guys. Whatever it was, this streak is behind us now and we should look a bit more impressive going forward.
  15. Dooling and Battie return today! We're up to 12 players. Now we're waiting for two starters, Yi and Hayes. I wonder whether Kiki makes significant changes or minor adjustments for tonight.
  16. Atlanta also signed Takashi Saito, so they seem to be set with a setup man and a closer, assuming Wagner is able to perform well in his roll.
  17. In two weeks, Battie, Dooling, Hayes, and Yi will all be back. Yi has put up great performances and shown improvement in the games he's played this year, and he and Battie can fix our problem with limited front court pieces. Dooling and Hayes were simply great for us off the bench last year, and Hayes will probably be our starting SF. Maybe we'll still struggle, but we shouldn't be a disaster at that point, considering the fight our team has shown these past few weeks with 8-10 players.
  18. K-Mart's not the only one. Full Article We've heard RJ, Martin, and Kidd all make comments about the Nets front office after they left.
  19. We haven't scored this much in the first half in a long time, and we're still facing one of the season's worst blowouts. Dallas is shooting 81% from the field. We allowed 49 points this second quarter. I was hoping we could chip away in the final two minutes, but we only allowed the deficit to get worse.
  20. Full Article Barrise will be coaching us against Dallas, and Kiki will take over afterwards. This all begins with Frank. Money is an issue for the Nets, and they knew that they'd be hiring someone already apart of the organization to take over. Frank, many would agree, was the best person for the job among those already on our staff. If money wasn't an issue, maybe the firing was a valid decision.
  21. 1) Lopez needs to stay out of foul trouble. 2) We need to avoid a collapse at the start of the second half.
  22. 97, 86, 82, 88, 81, 91, 99, 98, 101, 93. Those were how many points we allowed game-by-game over a 10-game span. Frank made a difference on defense. Frank also took Sean Williams future with the Nets from leaving this offseason to possibly being apart of future plans. Playing Sean Williams, or Josh Boone, along with Lopez helped Brook in never getting into foul trouble for the last couple of weeks. Considering we only had 8 guys for several games, Frank did a lot with what he had. I really don't know how much I'm liking the decision. Fred Kerber -CDR
  23. Frank was the longest-tenured head coach in the Eastern Conference before he was fired. What changes did you want to see from him that he didn't make? There's not a whole lot of new things you can try out when you have eight or nine players on your roster. And the changes he did make were moves he tried out for the first time. He wouldn't know much about his setups until he tried them out.
  24. They didn't wait until the team got back to Jersey. Tom Barrise is taking over tonight against L.A., but a permanent replacement will be announced eventually.
  25. This may be the last game we play with Lawrence Frank coaching. If we're going to avoid the bad side of history, it means coming up with a big upset, whether it's L.A. or Dallas.
