  1. And once again, we have a rough start to the second half. 10-0 run by Milwaukee. And what a surprise. Replace Carmelo Anthony two weeks ago with Brandon Jennings tonight, and it's the same story. We shut him down the first half, and he's on fire to start the third quarter.
  2. Well Bucks fans are watching the wrong rookie tear it up. T-Will has a new career-high 16 points in the second quarter on 8-9 shooting. We're off to a great start. I don't think we've dominated this much since the first game of the season.
  3. Watch our backcourt constantly put defensive pressure on Jennings and keep him cold for most of the game, forcing the rest of the Bucks to do the scoring. We have the Bucks tonight and the Knicks next before we have our annual Thanksgiving west coast road trip, where we have stumbled in the past. So hopefully we come away with a win or two before we visit the Nuggets, Blazers, Kings, and Lakers.

  5. We made two comebacks, but the game was never really in our hands. Once again, we had a low FG% and only hit one 3. Lopez, Alston, and CDR powered us offensively, but Lopez wasn't able to stop Hibbert, which hurt us. We also turned the ball over in key possessions. On the bright side, Mike Fratello was wearing a nice headband, and our attendance was about 1000 more than last game.
  6. If your topic post had serious points, we would be fine with you starting the discussion. Thread closed for now.
  7. Welcome back, Zayn! Stick around, you'll like the new OTR.
  8. I'll be looking for the attendance count tonight. I really hope it's not our usual count and the place doesn't look empty on TV after the $10 lower level seat offers. 9 players available tonight.
  9. I read an article yesterday that said the Yankees are paying $150 million for luxury tax and the revenue-sharing plan, and the second highest payer is giving $90 million.
  10. Read More I wonder how many new techniques Yormark will have tried by the end of the season. But hey, they almost always work.
  11. You recruit 20 people. You get 8 points a day, get to choose your prizes before regular members, and I believe prizes ship faster as well.
  12. Make that four heartbreakers in ten games, this probably being the biggest one. Two 3-pointers, one off the glass, and we're 0-10. We allowed way too many offensive boards, and it ended up hurting us in the end. Another great fight, though, and another great defensive performance for us. CDR couldn't have covered Richardson any better than he did in the end.
  13. 3/4 court shot by Williams to end the first. The key points in the game are probably the end of the first half or the start of the second half. It's important we don't go cold and let Miami take charge then.
  14. We're back to eight players with Simmons in Chicago for "personal matter." CDR should look in better shape today, and Williams is getting more minutes. Hopefully, he'll have better shooting numbers today.
  15. I have to agree. Obviously it's hard to be short on players and have limited guys to call off the bench. But along with that, it's just frustrating that you can't look at tape and reflect as much as usual because so many team members aren't playing. It's natural that a young team can only keep games close and competitive for so long, and it's a tough time mentally as well having to stop better teams from blowing a game open. That's something the coach can't always change. Frank's emphasized our work on defense, and we've certainly had ugly performances defensively. We've also shown great effort in games like tonight. This team was picked by many to finish at the bottom of the conference healthy, and yet they still have fight in them short-handed. Many will say not to blame Frank because of injuries, but you also gave to give credit to Frank considering the problems.
  16. You can't just look at what's on paper. The Nets had no chance in the paint, and eventually, pretty much the whole team had to rely on high-percentage shots. Alston helped in ball movement, and naturally when he's one of better shooters for the Nets in the game, he's going to take more shots and hope that they go down. I wouldn't say a triple-double with your best player out is horrible.
  17. Well I don't blame him for staying on the outside on offense if he's been having trouble getting around centers like Howard and Nene in the paint. He could have taken less jumpers, but he wasn't the only one having shooting troubles. You can't really go far with making an appearance against someone that can easily muscle you out. Simply a rough day for him.
  18. If there's a Random Thread, a shoutbox probably isn't necessary.
  19. Alston returns to Orlando and puts up a triple-double, impressive. The team was quite impressive as well for a period of time. Orlando kept on signaling a hot streak, but we kept on putting out the flames until mid-third quarter. We definitely fought, but we just looked helpless after the game was slipping away. Tough game for Lopez. He was able to stay in the game longer than last time, but he was only overpowered more by Howard. T-Will and Lopez combined for an ugly 4-29 from the field. Can't expect Miami to be much easier tomorrow, but we can stay in the game against the Heat with better shot selection and with no Howard in the paint.
  20. If we're going to foul, we can't let a shot go down along with it. We've allowed 4 AndOne's in about five minutes.
  21. Wow, we're hanging in there. We're having troubles with Howard, but we've shut down the rest of the team, who's shooting 8-28, and 3-17 from the arc. Alston's preventing the game from slipping away, along with the help of Hassell and minor contributions from the rest of the team. Lopez hasn't hit a FG yet. He's having trouble finishing at the basket, so hopefully he can turn that around second half.
  22. No Courtney Lee today. CDR will get little playing time if any. Lopez is matching up with Howard for the second time in two weeks. He's been looking really strong lately and he's stayed out of foul trouble. We'll see if there's any difference from the home opener.
  23. I was going to come in here frustrated over the no-call, but if this is the second time in seven games you can't even get a shot attempt trying to tie the game, you don't deserve to win games. The last play pretty much summarized our whole season to this point, along with Harris' reaction. It wasn't a youngster mistake, it was Alston throwing it blindly, and I don't know why Simmons was looking in another direction when going outside, along with why he reacted so late. Either we shock the world, or we start off 0-10.
  24. At least the place still gets filled up whenever AI comes to Philly.
  25. You need "clear and conclusive evidence" to overturn the original call. Unless there was an angle the officials saw that others didn't, there really wasn't any clear and conclusive evidence.
