How else are project players like T-Will and Hasheem supposed to improve though? I guess Hasheem can workout with Dawson and Hakeem but its a whole different experience when you're out on the court than going one-on-one with 50 year olds, not trying to bag on either of those guys because they're great trainers (Hakeem especially for what he did with Dwight) but those workouts can only do so much. Its different with Terrence because he has no one special working out with him like Thabeet and how is he going to improve in practice when like 90% of the guys aren't going all out? Like I said before, feed them to the wolves and see how it goes. Even if its just for 2 or 3 games. As for the Adelman situation, I'd LOVE to have him back but if this team doesn't make a big move in the summer (a move that would guarantee us a playoff seed) then I don't see much point in bringing him back. What exactly would another 45ish win season do for us? Morey and Les need to sit back and finally decide whether or not we're a playoff team or we're rebuilding, which basically would decide Adelman's fate in the process. The 2012 draft looks like the PERFECT time to rebuild.

If he can get his percentage up to a respectable 30% next season then I think he will be fine. Its not much but at least teams will consider him somewhat of a threat. And this may be a bit off-topic but how has his defense been this year? I always thought he put a good effort in defending (sort of like Kevin Martin, he tries but he's still terrible, not saying that their defensive games are similar because DeRozan is much better than he is defensively) and he has the frame and size to be decent defensively.

To be fair Terrence Williams hasn't been all that impressive in some of the games he got time but then again Chase and Aaron Brooks were two of the worst players on the team for some time and they still got time night after night while T-Will sat trying to be patient. Also Williams' game doesn't fit the Rockets game AT ALL, I felt like we were reverting to the T-Mac days (not saying that is bad because I'd take those years over what we have now) when he was in the game because he needed the ball to be effective. I can understand why he sat but I don't get why tonight and when this makes me question Rick's future with the team and what direction we're heading. I thought we were rebuilding but the Rockets' recent streak showed that we could be a playoff team and if we're thinking playoffs next season, what better coach then Adelman? But rarely do you come across players with the potential Terrence Williams has, if that potential is going to ever be tapped then I don't Adelman is the man for the job.

NBA.com has Scola and Lowry down with sore knees, could be the reason he's resting them but it still doesn't explain why he doesn't at least play T-Will for like 10 minutes. Morey recalled Thabeet too, why not give him some burn over Brad Miller?

With Cleveland's win, the Wolves gain a one game lead on the Cavaliers and as long as they lose Wednesday night then they will enter the lottery with the best odds at the #1 pick.

Update: Rockets, Kings, Knicks three-way
Dash replied to Real Deal's topic in Houston Rockets Team Forum
I think you mean it will be another mid first round pick. I doubt the Knicks make the neccesary additions in just one season and elevate much higher than their current standing. A mid first in next year's STACKED draft is just as a good as a lottery pick. The swap probably would have gone into effect if Yao never got hurt or if we were in the same conference but whatever. I still think it was a great deal on the Rockets part, to get a legit sidekick in Kevin Martin, a prospect with potential in Jordan Hill and esssentially a lottery pick unless the Knicks improve dramatically, is a good deal. Deal definitely looks better on the Knicks' end though. -

Its the 2nd last game of the season and only 7 players play and Thabeet/Terrence Williams still don't get any playing time. If the Rockets are ever going to rebuild then Rick needs to loosen up and play the youngins or get the [expletive] out. Seriously we literally have nothing to play for. Anyways great game by the Rockets, without Lowry and Scola but we managed to hang on and force an overtime. It goes to show just how deep this team is. Dragic has been rock solid in his two starts and Patterson played some GREAT defense on Dirk.

Jesus the Rockets could have easily moved up in the draft for Kanter or Jonas but that is going to be MUCH tougher than I thought.

It might take renouncing Chuck Hayes and Yao's rights to have a shot at him. That is assuming if the Rockets can't find another way to generate cap space because the cap holds those two players have is too much ($18 million for Yao and $3.9 for Chuck). -

Young shotblocking bigs with potential like Jordan have a going rate of more than just the MLE especially when you consider the fact that he's restricted and the Clippers likely won't let go easily. -
2 years would give NBA teams a better evaluation of a player's abilities and potential while providing a more polished product. I wouldn't see this as a bad move at all but I do believe that some players should have the choice to enter early if their families need the money. There also is the risk of injury.

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/7515131.html Granted a teenagers dream to play for a certain team doesn't mean much now, the hometown effect could give the Rockets an edge over other bidders.

[expletive]ing ridiculous. Every team picking outside of the top 5-6 essentially just went back one slot.

Lol we just sat our Lowry and Scola our last game and just recalled Thabeet, I wouldn't expect a win here.

I'm pretty sure Jordan will end up resigning with the Clippers but I can see Morey making a play for him as our top free agent target because he's easily more realistic than Gasol and Nene.

Lol I just bought another fan but sometimes its still [expletive]ing hot.

I think we did that last year with BFT running it. I don't see the point of it right now though since the draft is months away.
