  1. 3rd quarter: 4 turnovers in 5 plays for the Eagles
  2. So now the Lakers need to slow their offense down? Maybe Dwight can send off another coach.
  3. So happy for Mo. He didn't have his best game most of tonight, but he more than made up for it.
  4. 58 points in the 1st half, 23 in the 2nd half...how does that happen?
  5. Uh...you guys won two championships because of it....Memphis hasn't exactly won anything yet.
  6. http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=apkdbq4 Cavs get Perry Jones, Jeremy Lamb, and Kendrick Perkins Thunder get Anderson Varejao I think I mentioned this in a post, but I wanted to see what people think. The Thunder get a much more active center in Andy who is much more creative with the ball than Perkins and who can get more extra possessions for their offense. The Cavs get a couple of athletic forwards who can play off of Kyrie and Dion, along with Perkins who can slide right into the starting center role and be used as a trade chip for another team. Another version of this trade is the Raptors 1st round pick instead of Jones. Thoughts?
  7. I don't think Kyrie's absence affects this team as much because he still hasn't even played 82 games. He's still got work to do. Also, he isn't even the best player on our team. Andy is right now, which is why we stayed in games, and probably should have won, against the likes of Memphis, Miami, etc. Now in the future, when the Cavs have a team assembled and Kyrie is fully developed, he'll be more vital to the team. Right now, he just makes us less bad, and also more entertaining to watch. Keep in mind, we basically did nothing to make the team better this year. All we did was add more young players who still have one of two years before they can improve. The only good pickup in the offseason was Jeremy Pargo, who handled Kyrie's absence quite well. CJ Miles has been a complete disappointment. After next season, the clock begins ticking. We'll have another lottery pick, Waiters and Zeller will be in year 2, and Kyrie and Tristan will be in year 3. Factor in whatever we get for Varejao, unless we keep him. That's the time when I expect us to do something major in free agency. By major I mean beginning to fill holes that we need to help in. Until next offseason, I expect the Cavs to keep this team constructed the way it is, with a horrendous bench (Luke Walton is still finding ways to play in games), so I won't make anything of Kyrie's defensive deficiencies yet, even though I know he needs to improve on that end of the court.
  8. Unfortunately won't be able to watch this as I have my last final tonight. But hopefully Kyrie can have a healthy return and the crowd gives a nice applause to Antawn. Go Cavs
  9. Too bad they can't undo the Ryan Anderson trade. They play hard, but I think they will soon fall back to the bottom of the East, similar to Cleveland in the first year post-LeBron.
  10. I've been following the Raptors, and their season has gone eerily similar to Cleveland's in terms of the winning and losing, so I feel your pain. It sucks though because Toronto should have been better coming into this season. Both our teams have also had unfair schedules. I know the Cavs have played two home games in a row only twice this season and have played back to backs way too much. I think Toronto should definitely trade Andrea. His time is up there.
  11. Do you think that's D'Antoni's decision or upper management? Remember, they still want to sign him long-term, and I'm sure he wouldn't appreciate being benched.
  12. I think the second player is the better option. I like the rebounding.
  13. I love watching the players/coaches being interviewed and blaming all sorts of things for losing, and not mentioning Dwight's free throw problems as on reason. When will someone call him out. Aren't Lakers fans sick of seeing Dwight happy go lucky every game, despite missing free throws and throwing the whole team's offense off balance? I'm sure there's something to this Gasol-Howard thing, but at the same time, Dwight's free throw problems are going to kill the team morale.
  14. That's an interesting deal. I hear Perkins, Lamb and Perry, but not with the pick instead of Perry. I'd go with that trade.
  15. That had to be one of the most heartbreaking losses I've ever seen. Back and forth game, and we just could not seal the deal. But I'm proud because we're playing hard, pretty much all our games have been really close, and the fans are supporting the team. Onto the game, Tyler Zeller was a beast and put on a clinic in the second OT. Varejao with 18, 18, and 17 rebounds in his past 3, now averaging 15 points and rebounds a night. Pargo and Waiters were clutch. And finally, Alonzo Gee. He is becoming my favorite player on the team. His work ethic on the court is truly amazing. He's developing into a really solid player.
  16. The Lakers have played so many home games. Denver looks terrible this year. Expectations set too high for such a young team.
  17. Anderson Varejao with yet ANOTHER double double as the Cavs FINALLY WIN. We blew yet another lead, this time a 6 point lead with a few minutes left. Atlanta tied it with a Louis Williams three, and then on the final possession, Waiters throws up a thee, misses it, but Josh Smith doesn't cover Alonzo Gee, and Gee puts it in for the win! Very happy for Alonzo. Tristan played his but off with 15 rebounds, Pargo was clutch in the fourth, and Anderson is just amazing.

  19. Barkley just said Varejao is the second best forward in the NBA next to LBJ....
  20. Lol so much for looking forward to this game.
  21. He's a liability on the floor in the fourth quarter. I watched their game against the Nets and they specifically avoided passing to Dwight on a possession. You can't have that. Then it's essentially 5 on 4. And his defense isn't at "elite" status. It's merely solid. His post game isn't that impressive either. He's primarily a one way player, and the one way he excelled at, defense, is no longer as prominent. Because he's hogging the paint, Pau is outside more. Unfortunately Pau will get blamed and probably traded, but Dwight's the problem.
  22. This has nothing to do with Kobe. Or Pau. This is all on Dwight. He's caused the offense to be out of sync. He can't shoot free throws and his rebounds are at an unusual low. If the Lakers had another center like Noah, Varejao, or Hibbert, they'd be just fine. You don't know what you'll get out of Dwight Howard anymore.
