Sky City Tower: 220 floors in 90 days!

World’s Largest Building Set to Arise in China in just 90 Days… and Be Sustainable

Ninety days: the length of time apparently required to construct a 220 storey super

skyscraper, set to be the world’s next tallest building, and one of the

greenest structures among the super tall elite.

This considerable feat will be accomplished by using  a

prefabrication technique, building the wall and floor panels first

offsite over a six month period, and then shipping those to the

construction site where they      will be assembled much like a Lego

structure. The company constructing ‘Sky City’, Broad Sustainable

Building (BSB), says this building technique is much more energy

efficient, especially since it uses significantly less cement.

Standing at 838 metres with 220 floors, this skyscraper is intended to house schools and clinics between the 1st and 5th floors, offices between the 6th and 15th floors, 17,400 people in residences between the 16th and 180th floors, and hotels and restaurants between the 181st and 219th floors.

Biggest bucket-wheel excavator on Earth --

Bagger 293 is 96 metres (314.9 feet) tall (highest terrestrial
vehicle, size shared with Bagger 288). It is 225 metres (738.2 feet)
long (same as Bagger 287), weighs 14,200 metric tons
(31.3 million pounds), and requires five people to operate. The
bucket-wheel itself is over 21.3 metres (over 70 feet) in diameter with
20 buckets, each of which can hold over 15 cubic metres of material.

It can move 240,000 cubic metres (8.510 million cubic feet) of earth per day (the same as Bagger 288):

That is pretty sick. I just heard that China is close to an economic collapse though so I'm surprised about this

Should be good to go now. I completely forgot about this bug.

Thanks Brandon

Just saw a falling star or whatever it was. Lasted like two seconds, it looked as if it was going up but it has to be optical illusion. Sucks I couldn't film it.. :( 'Twas joygasmic fo' shizzle!

I don't think they're falling stars. I'm pretty sure they're called shooting stars, so it probably wasn't an optical illusion, it was actually going up. I could be wrong. I've just never heard them called falling stars before

Yeah, you're prolly right, bro.

BTW, the Bulls will play the Wizards in Rio on Oct. 12th. At first I thought team selection was kinda random but... it's gotta be 'cause of Nenê (who's from São Paulo, by the way, but yeah...).

I'm currently sitting in a hotel room in Virginia. Going to South Carolina tomorrow. Driving through West Virginia was kind of cool seeing all the mountains and stuff. Also went through New York and Pennsylvania.
