Haha, I actually never did care for the Cowboys, really could never stand them...but I don't know now. With all the hate Romo has gotten, and just the entire team, and now that they don't have Owens, I'll probably pull for a SuperBowl win.

Did anyone else see Manu McNabb with the HUGE flop sometime in the third (I think, anyways), when he wanted that late hit call? He threw himself about 15 yards down the field. I might just root for Dallas to win it all this season, since I have nobody to cheer for right now. I thought about the Saints, but I have friends who are Cowboys fans, so I guess it wouldn't hurt.

Love it. The Cowboys look scary, by the way. Having Miles, Williams, Witten and Crayton to throw to...and then Barber, Jones and Choice running the ball? Man, that's a hell of an offense if everyone is in sync. Romo is playing much better than I thought he'd ever play, also. I wasn't aware that he had set those franchise records.

Revis is a monster, and both Mark and Shonn were awesome for the Jets, and...well, crazy enough, both were rookies, with a rookie head coach. Sanchez was the first rookie QB to complete 70% of his passes or better in his first playoff game, and he's what...the fourth rookie QB to win his first postseason game? Benson was going crazy out there, but Palmer and Chad were awful.

Peyton Manning wins record 4th AP MVP
Real Deal replied to Legacy's topic in AFC Conference Discussion
Johnson was amazing, but I have to say that this was Manning's well-deserved award. If you cycle through what he had to deal with all season long, including the injuries, and also the simple fact that the Colts would be undefeated today had they played Manning and their starters (which is another no-brainer), nobody else should've gotten close to touching the MVP award other than Peyton. Earlier in the season, I stated that Brees was the best QB in the NFL...but eventually, my opinion changed. A healthy Brady is right there on Manning's heels, but Peyton is unbelievable. -
Orlando isn't just coming off a loss to Washington, haha. They've lost four consecutive games, 5-5 in their last ten. If Atlanta gets this one, they jump them in the standings...and I wouldn't be shocked to see that happen. Then again, if Carter isn't playing, the Magic could be a tougher team. They'll play their defensive players more.
-
So far, I believe we've got the longest streak of wins without a three-game losing streak (however you say that, hahaha). I don't see us losing a third tonight.
-
Haha, some guys do, yes.

Could be either one. The question I ask during registration should knock out real spam bots, because they are unable to answer them. But the real people that are spamming products, they answer them and then just copy/paste information into a topic, post it and move on, and it gets them paid. Really tough to get rid of those. It'll die down soon, though. There's always a stretch of them every year we've been running the site.

Sacramento @ Golden State
Real Deal replied to alcstarheel's topic in Golden State Warriors Team Forum
Did anyone watch this one? Udoka looked like Gerald Wallace out there, a guard/forward grabbing tons of boards, playing defense and scoring the ball. Monta was huge in this game, also, although he did take quite a few bad shots. And while Maggette didn't shoot well (or at least I don't think he did, can't remember his numbers), the dude was always at the line when I flipped it back to the game. Good win by the Warriors, though. Sacramento needs to find that swagger they had a few weeks ago, and the Warriors seem to be pressing for wins now, instead of looking as if they decided to tank. -
Citi BCS National Champshionship Game: Texas vs. Alabama
Real Deal replied to Cobb's topic in College Football
Game would've still been close, regardless of the QB for Texas. Bama just pounded Texas with their run game, which was no surprise, and they didn't need much from the pass at all. Texas should've played better defense over the course of the entire game. I can only wonder if their second half surge was due to the rally cry behind an inexperienced quarterback gaining his composure and throwing that first TD to Shipley. -
Wizards seriously considering T-Mac
Real Deal replied to Dash's topic in Washington Wizards Team Forum
Sounds like Washington just doesn't care anymore, and wants to truly rebuild, if the article above is true. -
L.A. Lakers @ Portland
Real Deal replied to alcstarheel's topic in Portland Trail Blazers Team Forum
Uh, bench Fisher and build a bionic hamstring for Gasol, so this doesn't continue to happen. We need Hinrich so bad. -
Watching the Spurs, you can definitely tell their defense isn't the same. In fact, I'm willing to bet that San Antonio's defense is probably in the middle of the league somewhere, and it hasn't been that bad since their pre-Duncan years.

Bingo. Nelson needs to be a scoring point (because, well, that's what he is). Hedo set up a lot of players and was arguably a better facilitator than Nelson was last season. Orlando took an NBA Finals team from last season and turned them into the third or fourth best team in the Eastern Conference. That team from last season would've given Boston a run for their money in the playoffs this season, but the team playing right now (with VC and Barnes, not Hedo and Lee)...I'm not sure if they'll even get past Cleveland or Atlanta in late April or May to get to the ECF's, let alone back to the Finals.

New Jersey @ New Orleans
Real Deal replied to alcstarheel's topic in New Orleans Pelicans Team Forum
Two bad calls against the Nets, honestly. The first was the call on Jianlian. That happens ALL the time, and Yi never did take a step back, nor did he really stop and threw his shoulder. Hell, it wasn't even a pick to begin with. The second was the "foul" on CP3 on his last drive. I didn't see one, but maybe it was just a bad angle. -
Mayo with the game-winner...pretty interesting game without Deron. I think Utah could've taken them if they were at home, but I can't really say that for sure. And WOW, Gasol with the sick block to end the game! He timed it perfectly.
-
I realize there's no Garnett, but Boston has to grab those boards late in the game. That absolutely killed them. Great game by Crawford...14 points in the fourth quarter, right? I know he didn't do anything in the first half, and I figured Atlanta was going to need him BIG down the stretch...and sure enough, he came through.
-
LOL, you Raptors fans are funnnnnny. But seriously, you guys are contributing well. I'm thankful for the activity, especially in game topics. Nice move by Bosh to get that late basket, also. I didn't watch much of the game, but I did get to see the last five minutes or so, and that game-winner by Bosh was nice. I figured he was going to pump-fake or something, since he was driving right, but he dropped it in with the off-hand.
-
Bad decision to take that three when they were only down by four. Denver ended up missing both of those free throws afterward. Cleveland should've just drove in, fouled and hoped for at least one miss.

1991-93 Chicago Bulls vs 1996-1998 Chicago Bulls
Real Deal replied to Newman's topic in Player Comparisons
Probably the second three-peat squads. Jordan refined his game and, even though his FG% dropped a bit, he was still the most dangerous player in the NBA. Plus, having Dennis Rodman blocking shots and rebounding the ball helped more than people realize, and Pippen proved to be an excellent player in his prime. The proof is also in the 72 wins. -
Carlos Boozer to Dallas rumor / speculation
Real Deal replied to MainEv3nt's topic in Dallas Mavericks Team Forum
My choice for best defensive point in the league (even though he's a bit slower), but yeah...I still like him. I just don't see this deal happening. Utah can get so much more. -
Carlos Boozer to Dallas rumor / speculation
Real Deal replied to MainEv3nt's topic in Dallas Mavericks Team Forum
It's not as beast anymore. -
Back when I was in high school, we had a few hot chicks that played ball. Dunking? Well, they have to be pretty big to get that high off the ground...don't see very many girls with insane verticals...and with that said, I'm not into girls that are much taller/bigger than I am. Never had a girl beat me in a game of one-on-one, but I had one cross the hell out of me once over at the college, partially my fault because I went for a steal, but she still made me look stupid that one play. Gotta respect that.
