  1. Oh yeah, that's right. Almost as good as the Bargnani transition three with 19 on the clock.
  2. After that timeout, didn't we get that wide open Ross look (he missed, but it was the best possible look we could ask for... could be a different play though I don't remember)? I could be wrong, but I think he had a bad feeling it was going to be one of those questionable 30 footers from Lowry. Not justifying it, but there are a lot of questionable things he is doing this year, I just don't get it. Also, just on RapsTV right now, Leo said we are 3-1 when Bargs scores less than 10. WHAT MORE DO YOU NEED COLANGELO HOLY [expletive]. If I have to see one more cryptic tweet from Alex Rucker about advanced stats I'm going to snap. No one on this team has favourable advanced stats (save for Lowry, and maybe Ed Davis). Also Demar at the 3 is brutal, you're right. He won't be able to score, but it feels like we don't run post ups for him anymore on 2's anyways, so at least he has more blow by potential on slower 3's than on quicker 2's. Its pretty insane how slow Demar's feet are actually. He looks like Thabeet on defense sometimes the way he gets blown by. In terms of Ed, I've been on the free Ed Davis bandwagon since Casey got here. He's had it in for him since day 1, its inexplicable. Colangelo must be breathing down the dudes neck. I don't think a coach has gone from revered to people asking for his head as quickly as Casey has this year. Literally, at the home opener he got the biggest ovation out of anyone, now everyone wants him gone (not on that bandwagon yet - still think that more is going on behind the scenes when it comes to who plays and who doesn't... we all remember why Smitch got fired),
  3. Wait, coach of the month is a real thing? I thought this guy was just making this shit up. Wtf... has this award always existed?

  5. Just run out Lowry-Ross-Demar-Davis-Valanciunas. At least that lineup is going to play their sack off, and will get better. You're moving backwards when you give Bargnani, Calderon, Pietrus, etc major run - its even worse when they aren't even better than the younger guys.
  6. On a side note - glad to see Ross getting some more run. We need to find out what we have with this kid, quick. Also, look at that Ed Davis stat line. In 17 minutes, he gives you arguably better than Bargs does in 40. [expletive]ing ridiculous, actually so frustrating. 6 points (on 60%) 9 boards 3 assists 2 blocks and a steal in 17 minutes. [expletive] you Colangelo [expletive] you Casey and most importantly [expletive] you Bargnani
  7. Lol when will Bargnani and Jose be gone. I think us ridding ourselves of Bargs/BC will be a happier moment than when we won the first pick (then subsequently chose... Barnani. lol.) Seriously, at least Jose tries, its not his fault he sucks. Bargnani sucks AND has the nerve to not move his feet or give anything resembling effort. Its literally inexcusable that he is still on this team. I can't imagine anyone on the team objecting to him getting moved, or at least have his role transformed into a spot up shooter (which is what it should be). I mean really - its to the point that we see him give us 23 points on 20 shots, brutal defense, and 4 rebounds (while allowing numerous offensive boards it seemed like), and its one of his best games of the year, and the announcers gush over it.
  8. For all the shit Pau gets, according to 82games.com, his opposing PF is averaging a PER of 12.3, and at center it is 6.6 (with his PER going way up to almost 19). Its actually incredible how much more productive he is at the center position opposed to PF, his EFG% is literally over .250 higher at the 5. I'm not trying to sit here and act like I watch all the games and know what is going on, because I don't. But statistically, the Lakers are a better team with Pau than without him. http://www.82games.com/1213/12LAL12.HTM Seriously, what is it I'm missing? Then take a peek at Dwight's. http://www.82games.com/1213/12LAL15.HTM
  9. The fact that we are going to be trying to win in the last 20 games, where teams like Washington and Cleveland will be trying to lose on purpose, almost guarantees we won't be in the top 5. Also, if I had to choose Lowry or this pick, I think I would still rather have Lowry, right this minute. I am 99% certain that pick will be right around where it was last year, just by virtue of the fact (like last year) we won't be tanking down the stretch. Picking in that 5-10 range is so hit or miss. I'm not sure what sort of value it holds, you have to think that it could definitely start a discussion for Anderson Varejao though. Who says no to Perkins+Raps pick+Lamb for Varejao?
  10. Going to need to go back and find all my posts where i said this team was winning 50+ and the division.
  11. Ross is honestly not far behind derozan already. its sad really, that simple pass one the screen when both defenders pressured him is a pass I'm not sure Demar can make right now in his 4th year, Sad.
  12. tell me again why Ed Davis has been scrapping for minutes all year?
  13. Swing the ball one way above the 3 point line, then back the other, then look up and see 7 seconds on the clock, and shoot a contested 17 footer. Raptors basketball ladies and gentlemen.
  14. 82games says Lowry and Ross have never shared the floor together. I'd like to see a Lowry-Ross-Derozan-Davis-Valanciunas lineup. would probably get torn up, and demar loses any size advantage in the post at the 3, but i just wanna see this lineup. idk why.
  15. my buddy texted me, no bargs and kleiza is starting. ed davis in. excited to see that val-davis frontcourt, love those two.
  16. I am expecting Memphis to put on a clinic tonight. This is going to be ugly, just hoping for more out of jonas and terrence again.
  17. Hasn't been updated since the 25th, obviously not taking into account that brutal game last night lol.
  18. Hoopdata. I wonder if their shit is outdated. That makes more sense then.
  19. Looking at the stats, their record is kind of inexplicable. They are efficient offensively (4th according to hoopdata) and while bad defensively (20th right now), they should still be better than 7-8. Turnovers are a concern for sure, but I think we are just looking too much into it right now. Give this team time, they will be fine. With or without Nash, this team is going to the WCF at the very least. Gasol is shooting 23% on shots 3-9 feet, where he normally shoots above 45% - he also takes around a quarter of his shots from there normally. Similarly, he has been brutal from the mid range (22%, usually a shade below 45%), and solid on long 2's (40%, but he still usually shoots higher), but he is taking way too many of them at 5.1 a game, which has been an increasingly concerning trend (trending backwards from this year: 5.1 - 4.1 - 2.8 - 1.6). The problem is that Gasol has a pretty much irrelevant role on this offense - he is literally Zydrunas Ilgauskas on offense, taking almost half his shots from 18 feet away. Its kind of crazy really. i used to shit on Pau all the time, argue that bosh was better (still think it is/was a legitimate discussion at the least), but now, he is getting a brutally bad rap. I think trading him is will wind up being a big mistake unless you fleece a team.
  20. Lakers Send Pau Gasol Steve Blake Chris Duhon Raptors Send: Jose Calderon Andrea Bargnani (Terrence Ross/Ed Davis?) This is a trade i see Colangelo killing for, and a trade that makes sense for LA in terms of fit, but not really value. what do you guys think? Been hearing rumblings on RGM about it, and even some reporters, but still probably not even close to a possibility. If the Raps throw in Ross or Davis do you think this gets done (I wouldn't want that, but I could see Colangelo doing it)? LA also cuts some dead weight here in Duhon and Blake and adds a good band aid PG who is also a wicked backup PG. I think Bargnani at the 4 in LA is an interesting thought at the very least with Dwight in the mix now. I think it is important to assess Gasol's value as objectively as possible. I don't think this is a trade LA makes, but its one they at least think about I feel like. EDIT: Raps are a bit short on salary, but it could get done pretty easily.
