  1. Don't insult the World's most famous arena!!
  2. Rangers are flying around!!! [expletive] you Boderaeu!!! LGR
  3. Lakers are going to come out and smack New Orleans...I predict a 12 point victory for LA.
  4. Pierce and Melo should be on this list.
  5. Is it really that good compared to his other shit?
  6. Nah you raise some good points dude, for sure. I understand your frustration. Jeffries is certainly not the guy I want with the ball (pretty much ever)...but if you watch the play again, you HAVE to be able to trust Jeffries to make a good pass. It was just unlucky Garnett had his hand in there at the right time man. And oh yeah, I went NUTS when Jeffries made that layup. My dad and I were in SHOCK for 5 minutes after that. Idk what you're talking about. Denver simply lost their last playoff game because they didn't have anyone to go to down the stretch to take the big shot. Without Melo, we would've lost by 20 last night easily...Melo put his heart & soul into that game. I wasn't sure about the trade, but last night solidified for me how hard Melo plays and wants to win. 42 & 17 & 6 dude are you serious? That's just as good as Jordan would've been. For those of you who've seen the Greg Jennings Madden video, "That's puttin da team on your back doe 101" This is a great post. Exactly what I'm saying. KG didn't even make that great of a play, his hand just happened to be stuck in the exact place Jeffries was trying to pass to. If Jeffries somehow sneaks the ball in, the Knicks win! D'Antoni seems good at drawing up plays at the end, but I wouldn't call him a wizard. Lol. I still like the play and would take that play 9/10. 9/10 Garnett is not deflecting that ball and Walker's able to get the dunk.
  7. If Amar'e Stoudemire and Chauncey Billups are on the court, do you really think the ball goes to Jeffries. C'mon man, Jeffries was wide open, options were limited. If Jeffries sneaks that pass to Walker, we're talking about going to back to MSG 1-1 most likely. Oh, Jeffries has been awful all year, but 5 ft from the hoop and 6'11", you've got to trust him when he's wide open to at least do something productive. Hell, tbf to the guy, he just made a key layup on the last possession and had a good night. Lol...Dude, we know Jeffries sucks on offense, but it was key that he was in. If you haven't noticed, he's gotten more offensive rebounds that any player on either team in this series. If Melo or someone else took a shot or missed, you need Jeffries to rebound for another look at it. Plus, like I've stated he just came up big for you and was having a tremendous game on both ends of the floor. The game would've been totally different if we had our normal lineup out there, but we didn't. No option is going to be great at that point. Douglas was going to be guarded, Melo doubled, Walker was 0-11, Mason Jr. can't make a layup, so gong to Jeffries open 5 ft from the hoop isn't that bad of an option.
  8. Sounds like your beef is more with Melo than D'Antoni. AmIrite?!
  9. What the hell do you draw up there, then? You know what's coming...you gotta find the open guy and hope he can make a play within 5 ft of the basket... Exactly... What would you draw up Coach K? Yeah, seriously, the play wasn't that bad. As I said, if Jeffries makes a better pass, Knicks win. Walker was prettty open cutting to the hoop.
  10. I like the guy, I think he's a good coach. D'Antoni's guys scrapped and played their heart out tonight. We came up short, but tonight, it was not because of him. I thought he got severely outcoached in the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter in Gm 1. Tonight, no, he didn't. At some point, the players have to play and you can't blame the coach. Cmon man.
  11. How is D'Antoni at all at fault here? The play went to Melo, Melo gets doubled. He has to find the open guy. Jeffries is wide open. If Garnett doesn't get his hand (luckily) in the passing lane, Walker has a layup and Knicks most likely win. This particular game has nothing to do with D'Antoni. His coaching was fine.
  12. Disappointing. Melo with one of the closest things you'll ever see to a Jordan-like performance. Incredible, simply that. That's puttin da team on your back doe 101. To even be that close to winning without Amar'e or Chauncey is a true testament to the character of the Knicks. I can still say I'm proud to be a Knicks fan. Let's go get the next two at the Garden.
  13. Their defense wasn't great, but at least the Celtics didn't get everything at ease, especially around the rim, which we got used to seeing earlier in the year. Turiaf and Stoudemire had a few blocks, Knicks ended up with like 7 or 8 blocks I believe, which shows they were at least forcing Boston to shoot from the perimeter. Fields was horrendous in that game last night besides his defense at times. But honestly, offensively he was just so bad. He looked clueless out there. Idk what his problem is. I'm starting to (sadly) think he just isn't as good as we once thought he was.
  14. He said A GAME, meaning ONE. So yeah, not really a big deal. That's pathetic if you don't think you can take a game off a team.
  15. Knicks defense was the best I've ever seen it last night. Turiaf was an actual presence (shockingly) inside and Stoudemire was better than usual. The defense wasn't even the issue, their offense wasn't that great. In the 2nd half they only scored, what, 34 points? Come on. If you told me before game 1, the Knicks are going to score 34 points in the 2nd half, I'd say, "Ok, they'll lose by 20."
  16. Yeah, he's been doing that all series. Glad some are starting to notice. He gets away with it because he's "Big Shot Billups..." (I dive into this more in my thread on Billups found from 3-4 weeks ago in the NY Knicks section of the forum) Anyway, we still need him to have any chance. There's no depth at Guard, so when he goes out that inevitably means more minutes for Anthony Carter. I like Carter for 10-15 minuets per game, but anything more is a total disaster.
  17. Carter's another ball handler. Plus, Carters great at moving the ball. If he did get it. He would be able to penetrate and kick to an open player. That's Carter's strength. Let's be honest, the balls not coming out of Carmelo's hand at the end of the game...That's what we got him for - make it or miss, he's the guy in the final two minutes. Nah it is. The offensive foul on Carmelo was ridiculous too. There MAY have been on a foul on Allen on the final shot by Carmelo. There was a lotta BS unfortunately to this game. Allen also had a moving backdoor screen when Garnett got the alley oop. Tough loss, gotta regroup though. Still, if you steal this next game, all is pretty much forgotten in the first. Our goal was to get ONE game away, and then we play at our place (where the Knicks are wayyy better)
  18. Well when the guy gets tripped/trips on a screen, pretty hard to play defense. (Hard to tell if Garnett kinda moved at the end to propel the trip, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say Toney just got tangled up...but that could've been an offensive foul considering Melo's was)...
  19. Hard for me to watch basketball at the moment, but it seems like a great game! Lol.
  20. I could do this all night... Taylor Gang or get taught timeout management by Mike D'antoni
  21. Not really a spam thread. There's been far worse threads than this. I think it could be a funny thread.
  22. Lol the end of the game was so horribly managed by Mike D'Antoni and the refs. First of all, I guess I should expect it to be biased towards Boston. No way they are calling a foul on Allen, Pierce, or Garnett at the end fighting for position at the FT-line extended. Give me a [expletive]ing break. Secondly, how does D'Antoni manage to leave us with 0 TO's at the end. You have to figure we'll need to advance to half court. Lastly, Prior to that even, you can't give up an alley oop from half [expletive]ing court on an inbounds play. The game was so mismanaged by D'Antoni at the end and the refs that it really ruined the ending for me.
  23. yeah boston will make a run, or maybe even two huge runs. it's whether the knicks can lock down and withstand it mentally. just like d'antoni's said all week, when the celts make their runs in the 2nd half (Esp. the 4th) will we be able to stand tall, or are we going to collapse like last time at MSG?
  24. well, I'm gearing up for a huge collapse. don't want to get pissed when it happens. trying to remain calm LOL. Knicks played great in the 1st half, Celtics played about as poorly as possible. Let's see what the Knicks can do in the second half. CMONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
  25. Taylor Gang or get taught English by Gucci Mane.
