Derrick Rose. I think Howard comes in a very close second, much closer than people give him credit for, but I do think Rose deserves it. This dude has worked on his game hard and has gotten a lot better this season. Seems to be a leader, and is getting better and more committed on the defensive end. Who would have ever thought CHI would beat out BOS and/or MIA for the number one seed in the East this season? I really thought they'd be 3rd or 4th. The fact they'll be the one seed and a great shot at winning the title has to be credited a lot to Derrick Rose.

Who is a better defensive player than Dwight Howard over the past 10 years?
-
Considering Blake Griffin qualifies as a Rookie, it is definitely him. Not only the excitement he brings to the NBA each and every night, but just the fact he's a really talented all around basketball player who players real hard. I'm ecstatic to see what he can do in the future with that incredible athleticism and what seems to be a great work ethic.

Dwight Howard. One of the all-time great defensive Centers, he's easily the most dominating force inside in the NBA. He's definitely the DPOY!

1. Golf 2. Basketball 3. Football 4. Baseball 5. Tennis 6. Hockey [expletive] all other sports.

Alright, thanks. And I think I'm going to go with the silver/black. The Knicks Amar'e one's would definitely be awesome, but I think I'd want them more as a collectors edition anyway. JK, but realistically I won't find the Knicks colors, so I'll just go with basic silver/black because they'll go with whatever shirt/shorts you wear. Lol.

We just clinched the playoffs a few days ago, it's an extremely long season. The players are tired. If they are up by 25 I don't expect the same defensive effort as if it's a tied game in the middle of the 4th quarter against the Heat...sorry.
-
Why would we care about giving up 118 when we scored 131, and 80 in the first half? The Knicks defense in the 1st quarter was pretty solid, actually. As was it for most of the 2nd. It wasn't in the 2nd half when it was apparent they weren't trying. I don't understand why you can't comprehend that they weren't even attempting to play defense on Toronto the entire second half....
-
Allen Iverson is definitely making it to the HOF. Isn't the topic about Vince Carter? Lol.
-
Yes, Derozan definitely has a ton of talent. Love his athletic ability and finds ways to get the ball in the basket. But the rest of that roster is made up of projects; guys who won't be in the NBA very long. And, I never said the Knicks aren't a great team - I just know we are a hell of a lot better than Toronto! We've won more games against +.500 teams since the Melo trade in late Feb. than Toronto has won on the road ALL SEASON.
-
Yup, we've just won four in a row, adjusting to a completely new roster after a rough stretch. Please, just stop talking. Outside of Derozan's potential, Toronto was awful tonight. The Knicks didn't give a [expletive] if you didn't notice on defense. If you've ever played basketball, once you get up by 20+ you really don't care about play hard on defense.
-
Wack. He's pretty terrible, corny, and overall has pretty much no talent.
-
Pretty ridiculous game. Toronto is god awful, they were missing some players tbf. Knicks didn't even try in the 2nd half which is why it got cut to 10, but still, good win nonetheless because the Knicks had shown in the past they can't win these games. They made a statement early by going up 13-0.
-
Word. Usually (and I genuinely believe this), experience is overrated. But the fact they were just in the national championship game last year, it's got to play a decent factor heading in...
-
Sweet, man. I'm a 10 in every thing, you think I'd be fine if Order them online without trying them on? lol. Do they run big/small then the other shoes/sneakers you have or pretty standard? Also, have you played basketball in them? (I'll mostly be playing on hardtop/concrete outside during the spring/summer) so I was wondering if they are good for that. I figured they must be if Amar'e's got em lol

^True. But I like Mack in the big game over Knight. Mack's been there. Knight will be the better player at the next level, but Mack's the better collegiate player. So I think Mack matches up better against UCONN than Knight did. I guarantee Mack goes better than 6-23. I expect a 7-15 type performance from Mack with a few three's. Gets a solid 22-24 points.
-
Why not? Mack's been terrific all tournament - the dude has proven he can flat out play. Mack is nasty, one of the best players in the country.

These "technically" aren't basketball sneakers, but I see my boy STAT rockin these!! I may have to cop, they are hot!!! Anyone got em? http://www.footlocker.com/product/model:147402/sku:14975471/nike-zoom-huarache-trainer-mens/navy/white/?cm=Mens%3A%20Cross%20Training&supercat=mens&id=54824&mvp=sport&sport=all#sku=14975006

Butler is probably the more gritty team, which I think is what you're alluding to when you say "passion." However, both teams are going to be gritty and passionate in this - it's the Championship game. If you can't get up for this, what do you play for? UCONN is obviously the more "talented" team. But, I think the fact that Butler has been there before definitely helps. Nerves have to be a big part of the Championship game, at least early on. UCONN has a few freshman (Napier, Lamb), so it should be interesting to see how it plays out.
-
Idk why you made a topic, Lol. RD always makes them? I like Butler in this one. I think they'll be able to defend Walker good enough. I think Mack knocks down some big shots, as well as Van Zandt. Butler in a close one, 63-58.

Let me also chime in with another comment lol. Before in this thread, I said Pau and Amar'e were soft. I still stand by that. But Pau is not as soft as some people on this forum claim he is...He's not Bosh-soft. And I'll be completely unbiased, he's not as soft as Amar'e...
-
To quote the great Amar'e Stoudemire: "The Knicks are back."
-
He definitely shouldn't say that because Amar'e doesn't really bang inside either lol. They both are pretty similar, actually in the style of play in the sense that i think both are kinda soft.
-
Lol. I love how you don't even know which affiliate team it is.
