  1. Yeah. I'll scoop it up. I buy 1-2 games per year, and Madden is always one of them. Football games make for the best sports video game IMO (that or soccer..and I don't even like soccer really in real life)
  2. I'll have to watch for this when I see him play. Peyton's never had the strongest arm in the league (although it's always been fine, obviously) so if this is truly a problem we may not see him go down the field as much
  3. I don't understand how you can just throw away accomplishments and then rank guys? What is the basis for determining a list? Lol If we are talking about guys who never won or haven't won a whole lot as far as team success, Patrick Ewing I know is up there on the list. Great player, but never won a ring (mainly because of Jordan) so he never gets listed with the Duncan's and Garnett's ,etc..
  4. This. He's a very good player, and a stats machine...but a franchise player? Not if I were starting a franchise.
  5. i'm interpreting this thread differently. you guys are naming all time greats. of course jordan is going to be cocky. lol... i thought the idea of it would be guys who were average-all-star players who thought/acted like they were a legend. lol
  6. I'm sorry but that is just such an ignorant and asinine comment. Amar'e Stoudemire already works very very hard in the weight room and on his conditioning in general. His physical shape has absolutely ZERO to do with the fact he doesn't play defense. Much of it is EFFORT, as well as just a fundamental understanding of rotations. Amar'e added 15 lbs last season, and was too slow because of it. The added strength did nothing for his defensive game, as a matter of fact he got worse. His quickness has never been an issue defensively, it's simply he has no idea what he's doing out there defensively as far as rotations and playing team defense, and it's been like that his entire career because he doesn't put any effort into it in games. My entire point is you can't improve your defense working out individually in the summer. You can improve strength and conditioning, absolutely, but that is so irrelevant to his situation that you are really reaching with your analysis.
  7. lmfao^ i mean i sweat but some dudes have their shirt soaked in the first 15 minutes. me it takes like an hour or two of playing
  8. how? what do you do? Realizing we are talking about working out individually during the off-season, so what is he supposed to do?
  9. haha so strange how people seemed 'programmed' differently. i don't sweat nearly as much as most people whenever I'm playing basketball....I sweat less than pretty much most people I know haha
  10. Everyone has to be kidding me right, it's guys on a football team [expletive]ing around. Wow. It's not like he was trying to drown him or something and Prince got up and tried to fight. They were all [expletive]ing around after the game. This has gotten so blown out of proportion it's sickening.
  11. They've made some really good moves over the past few years, I agree. But, they still are not a contender IMO. They may be a 50 win team, but can they win a championship with this roster? I say no.
  12. Martellus Bennett on the back issues for the Giants this camp...
  13. yeah i'm with nitro. nas is writing his own shit for the most part. we already know dude is legend. if you can make shit like illmatic we know you can write your own shit edit: Jay Elect just cleared that up...
  14. You are mad. You are mad JR has swag and you have none.
  15. You can't really practice defense, and he is already a conditioning fiend. He stays in great shape. What else do you expect an NBA player to work on individually in the off-season? Plus, if you actually watched the Knicks, which I know you didn't, so don't lie, you'd know that Amar'e couldn't score last year.
  16. I didn't think Spain was all that great this year, to be honest. Pau Gasol really surprised me with how good he was today, I was starting to think he was over the hill. Having lost, what, twice in the Olympics, I didn't expect Spain to hang for so long. I didn't think we'd win by 30, but I thought it'd be a game where we were up 10 all game until we blew the doors off and won by like 20.
  17. East: 1. Miami 2. Boston 3. New York 4. Brooklyn 5. Philly 6. Indiana 7. Chicago 8. Milwaukee West: 1. Thunder 2. Lakers 3. Clippers 4. Spurs 5. Grizzles 6. Nuggets 7. Timberwolves 8. Mavs
  18. Awesome to see us win Gold. I was surprised how much we struggled in the game today, but I think a lot of it was a product of the poor officiating. Just no rhythm or tempo to the game at all really hurt us. Olympic basketball is a lot of fun to watch, just seeing all the top guys in the NBA going HAM on lesser competition...always fun to watch.
