  1. Felton is talented. It's what kind of shape will he be in when October rolls around. If he is the Felton of two years ago, he's going to be just as good as Lin IMO. But that's a huge risk...he may be a flat out bum, too. Kidd, I honestly have NO CLUE what to expect...I didn't watch ANY of him last year. I think he could be what the Knicks need at PG/SG though (get guys to the right spots, limit turnovers, control tempo, solid defense)...
  2. lol. smh wow..if im a nut rider you just a straight hater lmfao he is better than landry fields defensively. he's better at landry fields in every aspect of the game of basketball.
  3. Yup. Definitely agree with that. Mike Bibby was a [expletive]ing joke, Baron Davis was obviously reallly hurt, but he did play and rehab hard to try and give us something, so much respect to BDiddy for that. Kidd, Felton and Prigoni are definitely better than Davis, Bibby, Toney Douglas going into this next season for several reasons. For one, they will have a training camp to work together and gel with the team. The other three guys did not. Secondly, Davis only played like half the season (if that?), with no training camp and not playing for like a year before that, he was pretty bad. He never found his shot, and just looked rusty as hell as well as being badly hobbled with the back injury. But, like you said, it's no sure thing we will get much out of Felton and Kidd. Or this Prigoni guy for that matter. It'll be interesting. I can't wait lol.
  4. well after shumpert went down he was the only one playing any kind of defense. and yes he shot poorly, numbers don't lie but he is still underpaid when you see what these other [expletive]as are getting paid right now in free agency. JR is the man though, we should be grateful he came back for cheap.
  5. Yeah, I think ultimately it was worth bringing Lin back. For a few reasons, but mainly just because he was so fun to watch and I think he's better than what we have now... although I am a die hard Knicks fan and will be forever, as a fan, I really don't give a [expletive] about three years from now or about the luxery tax. I really don't. Dolan has so much money, part of me says, [expletive] it, he can pay it. Part of me agrees with iMan though. How good will he be? It is a ton of money committed to him, and it does handcuff us in the future. He also really doesn't fit with Woodson's gameplan, or Carmelo Anthony...He also is a defensive liability, and did look rocky against the better teams after the Linsanity stretch. Ah. I agree. I really would've liked to see Lin back. I am actually really surprised he's not back. When I read "they'll match any offer up to one billion dollars for Lin" last week on ESPN, I thought for sure even when the contract was restructured, he would definitely be back.
  6. I agree. Lin IS replaceable. But I just think you're lying to me if you're trying to tell me you rather not have a starting lineup with Lin instead of Kidd or Felton. Although he isn't a great fit with Carmelo/Woodson, Lin is definitely better at this stage of their careers.
  7. I like this signing for the Nets...Humphries is a good you can win with. Solid defensively, plays hard, and a damn good rebounder. Not a terrible offensive game, either. Lord knows you need rebounding with this roster.
  8. A healthy Carmelo Anthony. And a commitment to defense with Shump and Chandler.
  9. yes because it's fair to judge on 5 games against the miami heat when the entire knicks team played awful lol
  10. Breaking News on Sports Center. So breaking we have known for 24 hours.
  11. Yeah I guess he's not worth the money. But I'm not sure about that though, considering we've all stated it's a win now mind state. We also have no idea what Felton or Kidd will provide. I haven't watched Kidd play much over the past 5 years, and haven't seen Felton since he moved on from the Knicks, either. All I know is Kidd is 38, and everybody in Portland wanted to get rid of Felton. Also, like Ian OConnor wrote in the article, You could move Amar'e's contract in that 3rd year too, which would be 23 million dollars if it's obvious the Knicks can't compete for a championship with the roster.
  12. Thank you sir. Lol I think a lot it is also I've been doing more of it. I've been making sigs for like 6 years, but I took like a year or two break in between.
  13. I agree with you guys for the most part about certain aspects. He still has a lot to prove as far as consistency, how good he really is, etc. But at the same time I'm not going to sit here and concede he isn't better than Raymond Felton and Jason Kidd at this stage of each player's career.
  14. lol. and he struggled against the champion Heat? It's the same thing. you can't give him no credit against a weak opponent/backcourt, and then tell me when he struggles against wade and lebron and co. he can't dribble, he can't play, etc.
  15. Yeah well what was the Knicks record with Lin? I bet pretty damn good over those 25 starts. And the same people who criticize him for being 'unable to dribble past half court against miami' didn't say shit when he dropped 38 and 7 against kobe and the lakers. FOH
  16. Saw Shane Battier today at Duke University's golf course. he was coming out of the golf shop when i was walking to my car. congrulated him on his championship. he doesn't know i'm a heat hater lmfao. he's a real nice guy though that i will say
  17. All of that stuff is garbage IMO. What does 85% ready even mean? lol. Fact of the matter is, Knicks are claiming it's win now, and Lin is better than Felton and Kidd at this stage of their careers. Lin could turn out to be mediocre, not saying he's a superstar (definitely isn't now) or ever will be. But if he's giving you 15/7 and limiting his turnovers, he's worth the money IMO. We saw last year Baron Davis kill the Knicks down the stretch, as it was obvious they needed Lin/upgrade at PG and YOUTH in the backcourt. Don't see that happening getting Kidd, Felton and Prigoni
  18. http://i50.tinypic.com/35855cg.jpg For whatever reason I've been in the sig-making mood lol. Liking the grunge style lately too.
  19. I like their team. Getting younger parting with Nash and Hill. A lot depends on how good / what they get out of Kendall Marshall. If Marshall turns out to be a good PG (I think he will be a very good NBA point guard), PHX could be a 7-8 seed next year, and blossom into a damn good team in the future. I also think Beasley in the right situation can still be a 20/10 guy, and be a team's main scorer.
  20. Austin Rivers is definitely a 2-guard. His mindset is that, too. I watched 10 minutes of that summer league game last night, and saw him jack up about 5 three pointers in that 10 minutes, and pass maybe once. lol
  21. Knicks should match Lin. This entire situation is mind blowing to me, really...especially from a lot of fans who don't want Lin back, it amazes me. Now we are concerned with money and luxery tax? Please read this article because it is exactly how I feel. #BringBackLin "Knicks Must Match Jeremy Lin Offer" 'Bockers letting J-Lin walk for nothing? Now that's what really sounds ridiculous ESPNnewyork - Ian O'Connor
  22. wtf are we doing tho? we have no future. our avg age has to be like 32
  23. wow, the 90s Knicks are back. lol can Kurt Thomas still play? he has to be 40 years old, right? holy shit. Knicks get Lin and this will be a damn nice off season for us fans!
  24. Yeah I guess I kind of forget how big and physical Kidd can be. Just seems kind of slow and to team him out there with Lin could be kind of brutal....but I think it could work in certain dosages. Man, if we don't get Lin, I'll be very very disappointed. He's fun to watch play, and from a basketball standpoint, I still think you gotta sign him.
  25. That could be one of the worst defensive backcourts of all time. But I guess at times I could live with it, depending on the matchups. I've always loved Felton (as most NYK fans do) and it was tough to see him go in the Melo trade. But, to get rid of Lin for him, I see that as a downgrade for sure...
