  1. To suggest that the only reason LeBron won't age well because his "work ethic isn't KG or Kobe like" is a ridiculous statement. Who is to say LeBron's work ethic isn't up to par with them? We can assume that one or the other works harder, but there are no tangibles to compare. And actually, the only relevant comparisons that he presents are Kobe and KG from a minutes standpoint, because they both came out of highschool and started their NBA minutes at about the same stage in life. Besides, playing in the NBA isn't the only place where these players spend time and physical energy. You have to think about College and sometimes the Euroleage, and also what they do over the summer like FIBA and the Olympics. This guys entire argument, whatever is the main point he's trying to prove, is very flawed.
  2. Source Pretty soon, all coaches will have to wear the same colors, and all players will have to have the same haircuts.
  3. Meh... California already has 3 other teams. Canada has one. Move the Kings to Vancouver.
  4. I wouldn't be too excited about Damp. The Heat worked him out, and decided not to take him. Rumor has it that it was because he was out of shape.. he didn't pass Riley's fitness test. I don't think the Raptors need to give a contract to another player showing up out of shape.
  5. I was pointing at people blaming me for thinking LeBron/Wade is better than Kobe/Shaq, which I've been misquoted for saying multiple times. On my actual opinion, saying LeBron/Wade/and Bosh is better than Kobe/Shaq, you can disagree with me if you like. There is nothing wrong with that, but don't include "homerism" as a reason to try to prove I'm wrong. If I'm so obviously wrong, I'm sure you can come up with much better reasons.
  6. I made my comment clear from the beginning, and my stance never changed, though I am open minded enough to change it if I see a good reason to.
  7. There can be any other number of reasons he joined on that date. There is no evidence to back up him being a fan because of the big three. And besides, whether he's a "band-wagon" fan or not, whether he decided to like the team because of LeBron and Bosh, it's not yours or anyone's place to tell people what team they are allowed to support, or whether they have "credibility" based on when they decided to support that team.
  8. I didn't. Read my post. Here, I'll bring it up for you: Can you decipher that yourself, or do I need to explain? *sigh* Explanation: First I said LeBron didn't blame it all on race. If you read his quote, in response to a question if race is a part of it and he said "I think so at times. There is always a race factor". What does that mean? He thinks race playing a factor is commonplace for things coming out of the media, not just 'The Decision'. What am I defending him against? The way people twist it. People are taking advantage of this situation to find more reasons to hate LeBron in order to strengthen their position against him. Instead of saying that LeBron believes there is a race in a lot of things in the media, they concentrate on him relating it to his special on ESPN, and even go as far as saying that LeBron is trying to justify that the entire reason behind the negative reviews is because he's black. Never did I say my opinion about what he said. Just the way people twisted it. Do I make sense now? May I let go of your hand?
  9. Wow.... just wow. Translation: I DON'T THINK RACE WAS A FACTOR How stupid can people get? Read my god damn posts before replying... PLEASE! I BEG you guys! Everything I ever say is disregarded for homerism just because of my fanbase, and I'm constantly misquoted. - People will say I think LeBron/Wade is better than Kobe/Shaq, when I never said that. - People say I think Wade is right when he said the Heat losing 2 games is comparable to the WTC, when I never said that. - People say I think the Heat will win 6 championships, when I only said that they might. - People say I'd be mad at Wade if he was the one to leave, and I constantly have to remind him that I'd feel the same about Wade's departure as I feel about LeBrons. (Translation, because apparently I have to: I wouldn't be mad at Wade!) - Now people are saying I think LeBron is right about people being against LeBron's decision because of his race.... now, at this point, do I NEED to explain that one again? I think I do - I don't (meaning: do not) believe race was a factor. Okay. I'm calm. I feel better now. I'll just refer to this post every time someone blames me for blind homerism again. It's really gotten ridiculous.
  10. Of course race played little to no factor in this, but that's beside the point I made in my post. Typical ignorance from you.
  11. More and more girls are playing video games, and it's becoming more and more culturally accepted for girls to play sports. Anyway, I don't see a reason to dislike someone more because of their activities. If anything, being interested in similar things tends to increase attraction, and that's among most people.
  12. He was asked by the reporter if race was a factor, and LeBron replied by saying, "I think so at times. There's always a race factor". LeBron didn't come out and try to blame it all on race, but if you want to twist it that way to attempt to put LeBron in a bad light as usual (like when LeBron was "owning" little kids at his camp when they were having the time of their lives, or being a jerk to a towel boy when he didn't even notice him), well I suppose that's your.... 'decision'.

  14. If that's acting, then that's some of the best acting I've ever seen.
  15. The kid obviously has some mental issues that keep him from managing his anger. I blame his parents for not taking the extra means to help their kid through this problem. Looking at some of the other videos, it's obvious his parents aren't very bright. The guy is going to wind up in prison when he's older because of this.
  16. I think I might remember him actually. Strong and athletic, but foul prone. Will add size off the bench. Looking at the overall team, it's hard for me to picture them not being in the playoffs. Especially when Felton's averages improve from switching to an uptempo team, and with Gallo having improved so much in only a year. Add that with Chandler, a very solid bench, and a coach that compliments the team.. I guess Eddy Curry is the last load before all of Isiah's destructions are officially wiped clean. I can imagine a huge celebration among basketball fans in New York
  17. Actually Turiaf is starting (according to what I've been hearing, he's been practicing with the first unit). Anthony Randolph will most likely be the sixth man. You are also forgetting about Toney Douglas, who has proven to be an efficient scorer, defender, and 3 point shooter (39% from 3 as a rookie). And there's Bill Walker who proved to thrive in D'Antoni's offense averaging 15 ppg in his final month as a Knick. He also shot 43% from deep on 4.3 three point shot attempts per game as a Knick. Timofey Mozgov got a decent contract to be the back up center (about a 3 year, $10M contract). I don't know anything about him though. So really, this team has some very nice depth in every position. It's difficult to say they can't at least make a playoff push.
  18. I appreciate you backing me John. I feel I have reasons behind what I say about the Heat that are apart from them being my home team, but whether people understand or believe that or not, speaking your opinion goes both ways. Like I'm entitled to my opinion about what are probably overstatements about the Heat, he's entitled to thinking Heat fans like you and myself are homers and douchebags, whether it's true or not. And besides, I don't mind the hate. It's kind of fun in a way. Like the quote below, I'm just going to enjoy the team, and the hate.
