  1. How dare Simmons compare Even Turner to the likes of Adam Morrison. Nobody, I mean nobody high-fives like Ammo.
  2. I guess some people have low standards. Making just enough to "live comfortably" doesn't count to me as "rich".
  3. For a second I thought the thread title said: "Why are people so against Texas?"
  4. Having emotions while playing the sport of basketball is now illegal. ...that's America for you.
  5. Meh, it was there for about 5 hours or so. Someone eventually voted me down, though for the moment it's still in the top 5 rated (and hopefully stays there). Good to see plenty of people were interested enough to download.

  7. I got a download up for the WNBA teams. I've only made the Phoenix Mercury and the Seattle Storm so far. Just search "WNBA" in 2K Share. Keep in mind, the players are going to look.... rather manly. There's only so much I can do when there's no option to make female players. Plus there are other minor things that keep me from making the faces 100% accurate. Also, there is a glitch where I can't change the jersey number color when creating team jerseys, so the jerseys won't look totally accurate either. And I can't change headband colors and things like that. Anyway, with that said, this isn't finalized. I'll probably update tendencies and improve the ratings later. I'll also continually add teams. I think I'll do the Atlanta Dream and the New York Liberty next. If you want to download these teams, but aren't familiar with the players, here are some rough NBA comparisons: Seattle Storm, PG: Sue Bird - Steve Nash SG: Tanisha Wright - Kirk Hinrich SF: Swin Cash - Caron Butler PF: Lauren Jackson - Dirk Nowitzki C: Camille Little - Kendrick Perkins (+ 3pt shot) Sixth Man: Svetlana Abrosimova - Francisco Garcia Phoenix Mercury, PG: Temeka Johnson - Derek Fisher (but makes layups, not as good at threes) SG: Diana Taurasi - [prime] Tracy McGrady SF: Penny Taylor - Mike Miller PF: Candice Dupree - David Lee C: Tangela Smith - Channing Frye Sixth Man: DeWanna Bonner - Tayshaun Prince
  8. 1) We don't know if having Gilbert play will "handicap" John Wall's development. That is a prediction, not a fact. 2) Gilbert has a large contract, yet he could very well be a top notch player. He did average 23 points and 7 assists when he wasn't fully healthy. Now he's had nearly a year to rest and recover. He may still be overpaid, but he''s not just a big contract at the end of the bench like Eddy Curry. 3) I'm not saying they shouldn't trade him. If an opportunity arises where they can make a deal that will both benefit their team from a talent standpoint and create a safer future before the deadline, by all means. 4) What Arenas created this time in his "publicity" was more of a positive than a negative, at least the way I see it. He made a sacrifice for a teammate. It shows the relationship he has with them, and what he's willing to do for them. That's a positive. Again, you can't decide Gilbert's future until we see how things play out. If he doesn't fit well with the team, then trade him. He's still a very high level player and I'm sure a deal can be done if Arenas proves he can still play consistently. All I'm saying is that trading him is Plan B. Plan A is to make him and Wall fit together and make more use out of the contract they gave Arenas in the first place. I meant that it could be out of the argument for his contract to potentially become a bigger problem than it is, if the CBA is to lower existing contracts.
  9. You're still talking about the past, and still have supplied no reasons why the Wizards shouldn't wait and see how he and Wall play together before making a decision about Gilbert's future. You've laid out an argument on how the Wall and Arenas combo might not work out, but you do not know whether it will or will not work out. That's something we have to wait and then see how they defer to one another when we actually see them play. You can't make a decision on something before knowing how it's going to play out. And the new CBA will likely lower existing contracts as well, so that's probably out of the argument.
  10. If the Wizards can manage his personality, you have two very high level players in Arenas and Wall on the same team. That's not a weapon you want to give up so easily, not without testing it first.
  11. I'm sure Wilt Chamberlain would have said he could have scored 200 points.
  12. I always knew Ginobili is a smart player. I know it wasn't an incredibly complex play or anything, and the article says it's a play the Spurs have done plenty of times before, but it shows how well he was able to deliver the message to where the players understood the play, even the ones that haven't seen it before, and executed it. It also shows the level of trust that coach Popovich has in Manu, even though it's just a preseason game.
  13. Then you have nobody to "lol" at, because nobody is arguing that from what I can tell. I'm sure everyone here can agree that the house and its pets should have been saved. We're just directing the blame elsewhere. The law is what made the firefighters not do what's right.
  14. Tragic event and bad decision to not put it out, but the firefighters aren't to blame. You need to blame the source of the issue, which in the first place is what has the firefighters tied on a leash helpless to do anything without the consequence of losing their job holding them back. There shouldn't be a fee to begin with. Protection should be free no matter what, for what I hope are obvious reasons. Whoever made this idea for the fee and whoever was involved in putting it into place should be blamed for not seeing this through, ultimately leading to this event.
  15. I think the world should agree on one official language. It would solve a lot of problems if language barriers didn't exist.
  16. No, but it doesn't hurt anything except maybe your average.
  17. I got traded to the Heat (from the Pistons) and started on my 8th or 9th game actually played (I simmed several). I think I'm a 45 overall atm.
  18. K. I'm away from home for a few days, so I won't be able to work on it until this weekend. I'll let you know.
  19. I found it to be very well done. The voice acting, the jokes, the flow, the way it fits together, and the way they portray the characters in a different light is all great. The only problem is that it takes them a month or two to make each episode, probably because the people involved are located around the world. Also, I've checked out other parodies to other animes, but DBZA is actually the only good one I've seen, and far and away better than the rest (IMO).
  20. Well, speaking of variations of dragon ball, there is a hilarious parody on youtube called Dragon Ball Z Abridged. The voice actors do a great job too and some sound almost exactly like the original characters. Check out their channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/teamfourstar They have 18 episodes now.
  21. I don't think he's trying to insult or "personally attack" anyone, at least from the way I'm reading it. He's joking around like he usually does, and I don't think his sig is completely serious either.... maybe I'm wrong.
  22. BTW, I'm working on creating WNBA teams. Very difficult to do considering you can't make actual women when creating players, as you can probably imagine... So far I've created all the players of the Mercury and the Storm and roughly did their ratings. Now I'm going to customize their shots, layups/dribble moves, tendencies, and if I'm dedicated enough I might later on go into scouting reports to make the rating and tendencies more accurate. I'll probably put up a download on 2K Share sometime today or tomorrow.
  23. Kind of ironic that he's right, Deron Williams can no longer be considered underrated when he's voted the best PG in the league, unless you actually believe he deserves an even higher rank like DPOY or MVP, yet many people still call Deron the best PG in the league believing themselves to be a part of a minority. With that said, I believe Chris Paul to now be underrated. One injury ridden season doesn't make him any less of a basketball player, and therefore does not strip his rank of best PG in the NBA and top 5 all around player in the league.
