  1. It didn't say anywhere that a team would trade for Arenas to get cap relief, that just doesn't make sense. Taking on a contract like his does not get them cap relief, it gives US cap relief. New York is definitely a possible destination for Arenas if they don't acquire any of the big name free agents they are targeting. I like that I can finally breathe a sigh of relief and not worry about the possibility of us picking Evan Turner over John Wall. Thank god...
  2. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/05/21/AR2010052104555.html I wouldn't mind going back to the Bullets color scheme, but I like our name. Changing that would be like rooting for an entirely different team, with our roster makeover, new name, AND new colors? That would just feel weird.
  3. No surprise here. He'll end up with Miami most likely. Or maybe Washington?
  4. How are you gonna be so picky dude lol... that's a sick sig. Just take it.
  5. QFT. I honestly don't see Gilbert going anywhere, which is the sad truth. I don't see a buyout occurring, nor do I see him being traded anywhere because I can't imagine any team willing to take on a contract like his along with the trouble that comes along with it. Looks like Gilbert is a burden we just have to deal with.
  6. I don't know what this notion is about people thinking Wall and Arenas can't coexist functionally. Arenas can continue to be a perimeter threat and attack the basket all he wants, but instead just allow Wall to run the offense, so that Gilbert is rid of that responsibility. I think they could be a very deadly backcourt together. I'm not too high on Turner at all, he seems like a Caron Butler type player to me at best.
  7. image: http://www.wizardsextreme.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/johnwall.jpg Do whatever you want, thanks to whoever does it.
  8. Rumor has it that the sixers are shopping their second overall pick and will trade it to any team that is willing to take on Elton Brand's contract. We have multiple options to trade for that, and if we had the second pick as well, I would take DeMarcus Cousins no doubt. Reuniting Wall and Cousins as teammates at a pro level would be amazing.
  9. Well obviously no organization wants to be upfront about their pick yet. It's always smart to explore other options first, such as Turner. They haven't given Turner a full workout yet so they're going to wait, but I'd say the odds of us getting John Wall is probably 95%.
  10. Well the deal is also including a great player in Mike Miller, and the possibility of Paul's unwillingness and lack of motivation to play for a suffering organization like us. John Wall wants to play for us, and understands that if he comes to DC, he is going to be the face of our team. This would help excel his game to a new level.
  11. Obviously the consensus is that John Wall is the best player in the draft and will undoubtedly be the number one overall pick, but our front desk didn't seem to be locked on picking him yet. In my opinion he is by far the best choice and would be the new face of our franchise. However, there is always the possibility of picking Evan Turner and keeping Gilbert at point, which would be a horrible idea in my opinion, but always possible. From your standpoint, do you think the Wizards would pick Evan Turner over John Wall for any reason?
  12. Me too... RD, I doubt the Wizards would be willing to deal the #1 pick AND someone like Mike Miller for CP3. That's John Wall and a legit shooting guard for Chris Paul. It's a nice idea but I don't see the Wizards going through with that. We're in a rebuilding stage, and I think turning this team into John Wall's team is the perfect first step.
  13. Don't be mad because the Nets got unlucky in the lottery. [expletive] happens, and it's about time something good came to our franchise...
  14. Anything's possible bro, I'm sure our fans wouldn't mind forgetting about our past "rivalry" and welcome him with open arms.
  15. I would say yes, because Rondo has developed into pretty much the most valuable player on that squad, while KG, Ray, and Pierce have not diminished much since their last championship. So yeah, thanks to Rondo they are as good or better than their 08 team.
  16. PG: John Wall SG: Gilbert Arenas SF: Josh Howard/Al Thornton PF: Andray Blatche C: Chris Bosh or Amare Stoudemire I have a hunch we'll be picking up one of those 2 free agents for the center spot. Call me crazy, but I feel like John Wall and Gilbert Arenas could actually function well together. Gilbert will just have to live with having the ball in his hands a lot less and focus on being more of a jump shooter rather than a ball controlling "point" guard. Let Wall control the ball.
  17. All I'm saying is that Beasley is not worth our 1st rounder. If they're willing to trade for a player package then by all means I'm down for it, but we're in a rebuilding stage and I'm more comfortable drafting one of the excellent college prospects in this draft rather than gamble with a trade for a troubled power forward in Beasley.
  18. What college is he in...? I wasn't aware insane asylums were considered universities these days.
  19. Is it really necessary to laugh at his misfortune in this case?
