Tyreke Evans' half-court game-winner
The Truth replied to Real Deal's topic in NBA and College Basketball Media
what if you're up by fifty, with two seconds left? I don't know, but what he did must have been illegal. lol. -
they're going to have to cut two players, though, which was the point of this topic. when Haslem returns, they'll have fourteen players not including Pittman. that means they'll have to cut two players. Magloire and Howard are the ones who should go imo, but I don't like the idea of them wearing suits. their careers are coming to an end and they deserve a chance to play. besides, I doubt Arison wants to pay those guys just for them to wear suits. he'll probably cut them so another team picks up the salary and they still get a chance to play. that's really his only option besides making a three for one deal, but I doubt that happens. ultimately, I predict Magloire and Howard being cut from the roster and signing with other teams. that would make our roster look like this: Arroyo/Chalmers Wade/Jones James/Miller Bosh/Haslem Ilgauskas/Dampier House (plays the one and two) Anthony (plays the four and five) ^ that should be the complete active roster. like I said earlier, we either cut Magloire and Howard or ship them off in a three for one deal.
-
I've never heard that phrase, but I doubt it comes from the NBA lol. pay Eddie House more than a million dollars to wear a tux and watch the games courtside? that would be absolutely foolish, especially considering his veteran playoff experience; this man has a ring. he not only has the experience, but the skills as well. he could play the one or two off the bench and hit key shots. Pittman is already on the inactive roster, so I guess that would be fine. we need to find a way to get House on there. rather than keeping Howard, I think we should cut him and let Anthony be a hybrid; he could play either the four or the five off the bench. by cutting Howard off the active roster you posted, we could add House and still have enough big men on the team. we're either gonna have Pittman, Magloire, and Howard all in suits, or we're gonna have to make a deal.

LeBron James Called Out For Ignorance
The Truth replied to Erick Blasco's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
I'm not saying the author is ridiculous, but rather his article. he didn't state definitively that LeBron is doing anything, but it was implied, I thought. my final thoughts on contraction: maybe for the NHL, but not the NBA. we need to let teams improve and prosper. eventually, that could be good for the league and the players. -
when Haslem gets back, I count us having fourteen players. to my knowledge, only twelve are allowed on an NBA roster. that means we'll have to cut two players when Haslem returns. I listed the fourteen players in my original post.

and with this post, I accomplish my goal of reaching 300 before Christmas. just about an hour and a half away from the 25th here in Cali. with that, I wish everyone and their families a festive holiday season and a happy new year.

LeBron James Called Out For Ignorance
The Truth replied to Erick Blasco's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
I just read another article about this on Yahoo that also criticizes James for his beliefs. it's as if the author is creating some conspiracy that James is working under league interests in their attempts to destroy the players union. it's quite ridiculous, but entertaining nonetheless. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=aw-kobelebron122410 -
damn, I forgot Dampier. I added him to the poll and edited the roster. so that means we'll have to cut two players. that's gonna be a tough one. should we just cut two of these guys or try doing a three for one trade?
-
when Haslem gets back, the Heat roster will look something like this: Arroyo/Chalmers/House Wade/Jones James/Miller Bosh/Haslem/Howard Anthony/Ilgauskas/Dampier/Magloire that's fourteen players. to my knowledge, only twelve are allowed on an active NBA roster. none of them will be satisfied with being on the inactive roster, so who gets the ax?

LeBron is currently better than Wade. he's a better rebounder, better passer, and probably a better scorer. LeBron and Kobe are two of the top three or four players in the game - they're going to get most of the media attention. Wade didn't even play in Miami's most recent game and he doesn't have as much of a history against Kobe. what we'll see in the media the next 2-3 years is Kobe vs. LeBron, then it'll be LeBron vs. Durant, then it'll be Durant vs. whoever's young and talented at that point.

LeBron James Called Out For Ignorance
The Truth replied to Erick Blasco's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
of course he surrounds himself with power; he's a freemason. the Nets had Harris and Lopez. Miami had Wade and Bosh. there's no comparison. he could have stayed in Cleveland and played with Mo and Jamison or gone somewhere else and played with superstars. Miami was his best option, plain and simple. no other team could have provided him with that kind of talent. so you actually believe he left Cleveland simply because of its status? so you admit Ferry was mediocre as GM, but still condemn LeBron for leaving? how does that make sense? you know as well as I that teams need good management to contend for titles. you admit they had bad management, so how can he be blamed for leaving? -
LeBron James Called Out For Ignorance
The Truth replied to Erick Blasco's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
meh, just disregard that part of my post. I thought since you mentioned New Orleans with Seattle, you thought they no longer had a team. what decisions are you referring to, specifically? the decision to play with fellow superstars? how is it bad to want to play with great players? you'd have to be crazy to think he left Cleveland because of its status. he's an Ohio native, he lived there his whole life. he left because he never won a title there and because the front office was essentially useless, not because of the city's reputation. are you referring to Ferry or LeBron? again, I agree. it doesn't bother me that people badmouth LeBron. I've accepted the fact that most are going to hate him for the rest of his life. I actually like that he's hated; it'll feel that much sweeter when he finally gets that title. -
LeBron James Called Out For Ignorance
The Truth replied to Erick Blasco's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
I know, man. that's why I said I disagree with LeBron and even suggested expansion. what? New Orleans has a team, and how is LeBron an elitist? he sacrificed millions of dollars and personal achievement just to increase his chances of winning. why he's condemned for that, I'll never know. as in Danny Ferry, who failed to acquire LeBron a star teammate in seven years time? I agree with what you're saying, but LeBron also has the right to think his own way. he's definitely made some ignorant statements in his career, but all star athletes have at one point or another. -
LeBron James Called Out For Ignorance
The Truth replied to Erick Blasco's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
I think a lot of people are misinterpreting LeBron's comments. he was endorsing contraction because he thinks more stars on fewer teams is best for the league. rather than each team having one or two really good players, he wants them to have three or four. I think that was really the only point he was trying to make. that said, I disagree with LeBron and agree with the author on this one. I think 32 teams would be great. 32 teams, 16 make the playoffs, it works perfectly. with the increase in skilled, young athletes and the rise of foreign talents, I believe the league could successfully sustain 32 teams, all with supporting markets. LeBron was right in that there are quite a few teams that are watered down now, but that can change. with shorter player contracts, an increased salary cap, and the elimination of the age limit, you'd have more players flowing into the league and switching teams every summer. they could probably make it work, but it's not gonna happen. they're going to stick with thirty teams and try to increase revenue with their existing markets. -

just for [expletive]s and giggles; shot clock was off.
-
that sucks for Chalmers lol; Dudley is like five inches taller. meh, they got the win - no complaints.
-
it must have been James Jones. he started at the two tonight. I'm sure Wade would have shut Dudley down if he was in this game. :glasses: no Wade, House, or Haslem and we still win by twelve in Phoenix. not too shabby.
-
yeah, I didn't watch the game, but I see he had 33 points. who was guarding him?
