  1. I think of the 2008 guys invited back all but Boozer(though I wouldn't be shocked if he did comeback) will return and the 4 guys replacing those not on this list will be Durant, Billups, Lopez and Perkins. I think the top 8 are all pretty much easily agreed upon as those who should be there. Durant belongs in that list as well. Billups will be added for veteran leadership and outside shooting. Lopez and Perkins get added to give the team size and inside scoring. Perkins is also a very underrated defender and would serve as the teams defensive stopper as well. One other player I could see making the list is Lamar Odom. His lankyness and ability to play 5 positions in international ball would cause matchup hell for opposing teams. C. Howard/Lopez/Perkins F. James/Bosh F. Anthony/Durant G. Bryant/Wade/ G. Paul/Williams/Billups
  2. I think we'll see some moves. I expect Amare will get dealt, and some other ones. I don't see the Jazz moving Boozer though. There is no way they'll get anything of equal value for him and the Jazz are not one to make huge midseason trades.
  3. It's getting close to them being out. 11 games below 500 with a brutal spring schedule, while teams like Charlotte and Milwaukee and playing a lot better. I have no personal animosity towards the Knicks and I do have some empathy for their fans, but I want their pick to be good.
  4. Andrei Kirilenko is a huge reason for the Jazz success as of late. He has reverted back to 03-04 Andrei Kirilenko(the all-star year) and has done a great job of turning defense into offense.
  5. Finally got them. But damn Denver is giving the Jazz trouble this year.
  6. I think it's really between the teams who are battling for it now. I do hope Philly and Detroit and maybe even Washington make a push for it later in the season. mainly so the Knicks lose.
  7. Wizards. A lot of people had them pegged as a playof team, and even before Gilbert went John Wayne in the lockerrom they sucked. There really isn't an excuse why a team with that much talent sucks so bad.
  8. Right now I'd go with Lebron. Kobe has been struggling at times with his injuries, and Lebron has been healthy and that has given him the advantage in my opinion.
  9. Vets because the game is usually more fluid with them. IE less mistakes. Though I do like seeing the occassional rookie.
  10. Thunder. I'd really like to see Kevin Durant play in a big pressure situation. I also think a Kobe vs Durant matchup in the first round would be fun to watch.
  11. Acid a few times, Meth once. wont ever do either again.
  12. Boozer nor Williams played and the Jazz bearly squeeked by. But it was better than when Williams and Boozer both played and the Jazz let the Kings go on a 72-25 run over 16 minutes and turn a 18 point deficet into a 22 point lead.
  13. No the Jazz signed him for the rest of the season. He is a solid ball player, I think that is evident. I saw him with Idaho and figured he'd have a chance in the NBA. I do like him, he has the right attitude and fits nicely with the Jazz.
  14. I think Boston will get this one. 1) LA is not a great road team. 2) Boston is a great home team. 3) Boston has been playing like [expletive] and I expect them to turn it around.
  15. That's what happens when there is one game seperation between teams. The Jazz are distancing themselves somewhat from the 6-9 seeds, which is good. Now the Jazz just need to keep winning, the 3 spot could be theirs in a week and a half.
  16. about damn time. I thought he should have been one in 07 instead of Memo.
  17. You can pick multiple people For me it's lee, Smith, Boozer and Billups. In that order. Lee should be there over Horford pure and simple. Better numbers all around. Smith should be there but I don't know who to drop. Boozer probably should be there over Gasol, because Gasol has missed a lot of games and missing games was an excuse why players in the past have been left off. Billups is all-star worthy but he isn't as worthy as the two other PGs.
  18. A couple years ago there was almost a lockout but they can to an 11th hour agreement, I think that is what he is refering to. I believe it was 2006. That was the year were free agency began in August instead of July and the summer leagues were really weird.
  19. I think a team could survive better there now since Seattle doesn't have a team. The Sonics and Grizzlies were kind of competing for the same market and the Sonics had the advantage of being established and being good. Now though, there is that market in Seattle who'd probably become Vancouver fans if they got a team. But with that said, I don't think they will get a team. I don't think the NBA will expand, and if the NBA does expand again I think Seattle, St Louis, and Kansas City, maybe even las Vegas, would have the best chances of getting any new NBA team. I also don't want to see another city get jobbed out of their team like Seattle and Charlotte did. But if a team were to move there I'd hope it's the Clippers. They're like the Lakers retarded little brother nobody cares about, plus they're cursed. maybe if they get out of LA they can start turning things around.
  20. Mo hasn't been playing better than Rondo or Rose though. He got left off the same reason Billups missed the west squad, superior competition. Congrats to D-will though. Finally an all-star.
  21. It was a very good speech. I think he did a great job of getting his message out to the American public, and to Congress. He was very centralist in his speech though. Which is likely due to the election in Massachusetts this past week. He had some awkward moments in there, and got snickered at by Congress, and I really didn't like him slaming the Supreme Court in his speech. I don't agree with that ruling either but there is a time and a place to mention that and the State of the Union was neither. But all in all it was a good speech.
  22. Yeah the Bulls have done the Jazz a huge favor, and I applaud them for it. The west is very tight and the Jazz have been winning and the teams ahead of them losing. it also helps that the Jazz beat the Spurs, Suns and Blazers.
  23. I think we will see another lock out. I also disagree with the above statement that it's a bad time to do it, I think it's perfect timing. The economic slump has shown us that this revinue is tenitive at best. Players need to understand this and understand that many owners just cannot afford to pay these prices. I do think we'll see a compromised CBA after a lockout. I think guarenteed contracts will remain, but they will only be partially gaurenteed, and I think teams will be required to carry 14 or 15 players.
  24. A lot of people are saying D-Will should shoot the last shot for the Jazz, I have to disagree. I'd give it to Okur. He has hit clutch shot after clutch shot for the Jazz over the years. I'd also have to give Sundiata Gaines a shot if he was open.
  25. Damn I thought the Jazz were going to lose this one. Nearly blew a 25 point lead. Boozers got hurt too.
