  1. What a finish by the Jazz. 45-19 run to close out the game. Game felt like a playoff game, it was fantastic.
  2. Amazingly the Jazz beat a team they were supposed to beat. Nice win.
  3. It use to happen all the time but now it's pretty rare. The Jazz had one last year, and in the lockout year I think it was Denver had 3 in a row. Now it pretty much happens when there is schedule conflicts between teams and venues.
  4. I don't think he will be. Paul, Billups and Parker have been playing well and are a lot more publicized than Williams, and the Jazz are a playoff bubble team. Too many good gaurds in the west and Williams plays in little cared about Utah.
  5. Nice game but hasn't he been back all year? He isn't have a bad season at all, though he wont be an all-star.
  6. Hell yeah a season sweep of the Spurs. Having been their [expletive] the past 11 years this is a great accomplishment.
  7. Howard Eisley John Ameachi Those are really the only two I hated. I hate Eisley because he screwed up so much and Ameachi was just a big fat [expletive].
  8. If the Jazz go with Boozer they need to move Okur, it's painfully obvious that those two cannot coexist on the court at the same time. Personally I wouldn't mind Boozer back if I could get some assurance that he wont miss half the season every other year.
  9. I think the Warriors were just a fad and when people there realized they sucked they stopped caring. I remember games from the early 2000s to the mid 90s where the arena was dead. I think the issue with the Kings is how bad they were last year, and the arena issues.
  10. Ron Artest Bruce Bowen Michael Jordan Gary Payton Sidney Moncreif Jerry Sloan
  11. No. There is no such thing as running up the score. If you don't want the opposition scoring than stop them. Don't [expletive] and moan expo-facto, stop them in the game. Also, speaking as a Bills fan there is no thing as too big of a lead.
  12. West. Boozer is very inconsistant at times and a terrible defender. West has been more consistant and is a better defender. West also isn't as injury prone. However, in the clutch I would take Boozer.
  13. That's because he was jacking up the treys and the Jazz have no clue how to guard the three point line.
  14. Chicken because there is so much you can do with it.
  15. eh, don't really care. I do think the all-star jersey's are getting progressively worse though.
  16. Got to say I was not impressed by Jennings. I was really looking forward to seeing him play too. Nice win by the Jazz though, I was concerned there would be another let down after the Cleveland game.
  17. Unfortinately Okur is nearly untradible because of the extension. No one wants an underproducing big man like that. Though, I do think if Boozer was gone his numbers would improve slightly.
  18. D-will has always turned the ball over a lot, which is one reason why this team will win games when he is out. Price/Maynor/Knight/Gaines don't turn the ball over as much. Deron sometimes tries to do so much and just assumes that other guys, mostly Boozer, will move inside the system when they don't. Sometimes I do think the Jazz sit D-Will when his injuries aren't that bad. The Charlotte game last year is a good example of this. They sat him and he looked fine the game before and looked fine the rest of the year. D-Will can play through some bad injuries in important games, so you may be onto something there.
  19. Definately the Rockets. they lost Yao, T-Mac and Artest. I didn't think they'd win 20 games all year long, but they have a great hodgepodge of talent and are getting things done.
  20. Last year Milsap was the #2 option a lot of the time though, now he's usually #5 on the court. I agree his offense has really suffered, but his defense to me has picked up and he isn't getting the fouls like he was. I like Milsap but I don't think he's anything other than a great 6th man type. He's really too small to be an effective PF in the NBA. Look at when the Jazz play the Lakers, when he comes in the Lakers go to their bigs every time because they are so much taller than Milsap. Having Milsap as a backup to an all-star big is a perfect fit for him and the Jazz. Though I would not be opposed to moving Okur and having Boozer start at the 5 and Sap at the 4. That's an incredibly small lineup and would require Fesenko or Koufos to actually play a lot but it could work if the Jazz ran a lot more.
  21. I do kind of agree that the system does limit D-will to some extent, but the guy is very turnover prone when he gets to run crazily. He's also a bit injury prone, and one thing that Sloan's system is very good at is making below average PG's average. Look at some of the crap the Jazz have had as their second string PG and look how those guys have performed in Utah compared to the rest of their careers. Sloan's offensive sets don't really bother me so much, it's his defensive schemes which drive me nuts. He still thinks it's 1973 and there is no three point shot, so the Jazz never gaurd it. His substitution patterns also drive me nuts. He'll pull out CJ or Wes when they're doing good for no apparent reason. The offensive woes this season I think have a lot to do with really no outside shooters. Memo has sucked, CJ and Korver have been injured and ineffective. But in the past week Korver has really seemed to get healthy and Memo has found his shot again and suddenly the Jazz are playing very well. I think that's because Boozer and Deron can get to the hoop where they are most effective.
  22. Seen this today, pretty good movie. Lots of action, not a lot of bull[expletive] and a pretty clean story line. The movie doesn't drag on either so that's a huge plus and the graphics are good as well.
  23. No way the Jazz take on Rips contract. I'd like him here too, but his deal is to bad 2 years down the road. If the Jaz do go out and try to add salary I'd expect them to go towards Caron Butler. The Jazz should also have some cap room next year with Boozer, Korver, and Brewer all coming off the book. So they could try to sign one of the big name free agents. One other thing is the Jazz could wait until next year to see if a star becomes upset with their situation. The Jazz will have a 17 million dollar contract that is expiring that they could use in a trade to land said player.
  24. Not really sure we can blame that on Sloan. He can only work with what he has, which isn't really all that much except some overpaid premaddonas.
