Nobody on Lakers can stop Lawson... that's for sure. Unless Kobe wants to stick to him, and Ty is faster than Westbrook. Ty getting to the lane means drawing defenders and = open shooters... unless Bynum wants to protect the paint by himself and leave Nene open. I assess one thing that gives this new Nuggets team problem = athleticism. Athletic teams like Heat, Thunder can give us trouble. But old Kobe, Gasoft, awkward Ron are no athletic. I sense that Hines Ward would flagrant foul Ty or one of our screeners and Kenyon and Ward getting into fight. Nuggets 105, Lakers 89. Have I mentioned our defense? Yeah, even Kobe would be like "WHA?? I CAN'T SCORE!!! These THUGGETS ARE FO REAL!!!"

Great win. We've become a very good defensive team after trade... 90 pts allowed on the road? Never happened in a million years in Melo era. But real test is coming next game vs Lakers.

^I agree... can't ask more. It's nice to see guys are happy playing together. They now know they're not mere role players, but part of a unit... their contribution is expected and relied on every night... they're much more willing to play defense hard every possession. In our first 14 games since trade, we were the 2nd best defensive team in the L (just a hair behind Bulls) in that stretch. I never bought Karl's speech before every season that he wanted the Nuggets to emphasize defense... but I now believe him. I used to think aside of great coaches like Phil Jackson, Gregg Popovich, coaches don't play much factor in Ws/Ls but after last season's experience when we played .500 ball after Karl was sidelined to cancer (we'd been the 2nd best team in the West), and now post Melo trade... I'd say coaching in NBA is a BIG part of Ws/ Ls. It's also nice for arena announcer Kyle Speller to yell "Gaa-llo" chant now, replacing the famous "Mee-llo".

Nuggets (except Al Harrington & Gary Forbes): keep it up Al Harrington & Gary Forbes: request a trade, fake an injury, go home, just don't show up... your black hole ways can have negative impact on the rest of team.

This Neal kid has killed us all season long, can't he miss? We took tons of FTs, but missed 10+... had we converted our usual percentage, we'd have a double digit lead.

I <3 this team... When Harrington plays like God, we're pretty much unbeatable. But that comes like once every 25-30 games. We gave up 69 pts at half (a regularity when Melo was here, but first since trade)... and only gave up 29 pts so far in 2nd half.

Billups has lost his explosiveness, so he keeps chucking outside shots. He gains confidence when his shots are falling. When they don't, he does little else, aside of some timely passes... but there are also turnovers. Guy seems obsessed with his "leader" and "Big Shot" tag... although most players have probably tuned him out... He's by no means a cancer, but he can be a liability at times.

The usual arena announcer "Mee-lo" chant became "Gaa-llo"... love it

When he said before season started, "why can't I be MVP?" I thought he was bullshitting... but he walks the talk. He has the desire to be great, he has that rare Kobe Bryant drive.

One thing that is a bit off for me... I grew up in Indonesia (Asia), the fat kids in our schools ruled... they were THE BULLIES... the skinny little kids got picked on. Big kids like Casey, who clearly had advantage in size, weight, strength, were the bullies. So I don't understand why he put up with bullying for "years", when he clearly knew he had physique advantage. I guess that was why he was calm even when he got punched. He's very nice kid though, he's got kind heart.

Missed the game totally forgot about this... I know this would come A control-freak like Karl trusting the shot-happy J.R. to be his team's PG when Ty sits? It's a testament to J.R.'s ball handling and passing skills. I know guy's passing skill is incredible

He's real deal... proven superstar in his field. Gaga's songs were alright until she decided to coke and look like Amy Winehouse lol @ Nicki Minaj

I have a question, are you loyal being a fan of your aging star... aka players who were superstars in their prime but at present is showing decline because of age... e.g. Iverson, Duncan, Garnett, Kobe... Do you stay loyal or do you constantly look for another young superstar who you can become fan of? I am a team fan, not a player fan, so wouldn't know how this feels... so am just curious.

It seems like everytime we closed in, the Heat made a 10-2 run. It happened like 3 times. What impressed me is Gallo's ability to go to the line again... this time 12 attempts in just 31 minutes. He's gone to the line 40 times in the last 3 games. Sad to see Afflalo reinjured his hamstring... hope he can recover in time for playoffs. We won first 2 games on our 4 road trip before losing the last 2 to Magic and Heat. But all of our losses since trade have been by small margin and they're all competitive. I'm happy
