the first CD was pressed in Germany, actually. Therefore, it wouldn't have been 'invented' in the Netherlands. It is true that the first CD was introduced at a press conference in the Netherlands, however. Not to mention there was no 'inventor' of the CD, as there were many teams of engineers from Sony and Philips collaborating on the project. The best part? There were TWO men that came up with the concept and were lead developers. One was Dutch(so I guess you can have .00000005 of a point?) and the other was Japanese. It was still a huge TEAM effort, led by two JAPANESE companies.

The US is not Europe, so at least one doesn't work If you really think Euros invented the CD then lol...
