You don't know what bended over means? Little boy you have got a lot to learn. And cool congrats on that 2007 playoff series win. What did you guys win that year? Oh nothing. You were the runner up loser and a loser just like the Phillies were that year. On the contrary our team didn't come home empty handed last year as you can see by that world series ring up there. Congrats on the highlight of your franchise being that run to the world series, but never coming home with the ultimate prize. And cool job bringing up my team which was irrelevant, but a dumb one seeing as you get owned nonetheless.

LOL THE ROCKIES GOT BENDED OVER ON ALL 4'S AND POUNDED INTO SSUBMISSION IN THEIR BIGGEST SERIES OF THE YEAR!!! LOOL

I started college yesterday. It's ok I guess, just wished I had more friends from my highschool here since there seems to be tons of former highschool friends groups around.

Here's what I don't get, how come Pedro is "done for the game" if theres a rain delay after those first two innings. I don't get why he can't just get back in after the delay. Lukcily for the Phillies though those kind of situations work in their favor since they have Moyer. Lidge looked really good too. Just finished watching the replay. That's great to see.

The Best to Follow in Malone's Footsteps
Diesel replied to ManOnTheMoon's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Even though McGrady sucks now I think I would rank him over Amare just because T-Mac used to be reallly really good and Amare was never quite at that level. -
You didn't prove any of my points wrong. And the Nationals organization has been around since 1969. They've made the playoffs one time in that timespan. It's going to be tough to find a team with a crappier history. The Wizards highest potential is a 4th seed, but their in the same boat as the Heat, Sixers, Bulls, Toronto, Atlanta. I'd be willing to bet another first round exit is their fate though as they are full of injury prone players and even when healthy I don't think their better than the teams I listed. No defense or bigmen. They don't really matter and don't have a huge following. I think Wizard fans have been calling Washington a top 4 team in the East for the past 3-4 years and it never happens. Thanks, you really added to the thread with this post.

Yeah I agree. Their only real team is the Capitals. -The Nationals are the laughingstock of the MLB -The Redskins won't be winning a superbowl, all they do is overpay for old free agents every year and have been the worst team in the division for most of the decade. -The Wizards were absolutely terrible last year, are full of injury-prone players, and even if they are healthy they will be nothing more than a mediocre team. Their best player has played a total of 15 games the past two years as well. That team won't be doing anything.

The Hawks are one of the biggest laughingstocks of the NBA and apart from last year havn't won a playoff series in who knows how long. Their still a mediocre team and only got to the 2nd round because there was only 3 legit teams in the Eastern Conference. Before last year they were the Clippers of the Eastern Conference and noone in Atlanta cared about them at all. It's going to take more than that to redeem themselves. Not once in franchise history have the Falcons had two consecutive winning seasons although I like their chances this year their still pretty poor historically. The Thrashers just suck(have they ever won a playoff game?) and the Braves arn't winning the NL East so you can get that idea out of your head. Unlike the Red Sox the Phillies will be winning their division this year.

Sammy Dalembert. Over 10 million a year for a big stiff that constantly takes low percentage fadaway jumpshots he has no business taking, one of the worst pairs of hands in the NBA, a horrible work ethic, and one of the lowest bball IQ's in the league.

Shaq and Dwight averaged the same amount of RPG in their tenures with Orlando thus far. They both averaged 12.5. However having Rashard Lewis playing the 4 spot will leave you with a few extra rebounds. Shaq had Horace Grant playing alongside him on the frontcourt whose specialty was defense and rebounding and he nearly averaged 10 boards himself with Orlando. Much different than the perimeter oriented Rashard Lewis who averaged 5.7 RPG which I'm sure is the worst among starting powerforwards. The Orlando team Shaq led to the Finals outrebounded their oppenent by an average of 2.97 rebounds per game while Orlando outrebounded their oppenents by an average of 1.12. Dwight's rebounding numbers are inflated because he's the only player for Orlando in the paint. Btw I like how Jalen Rose's explanation for Dwight Howard as the better rebounder is because he led the league in RPG and Shaq never did. Dwight would be lucky to lead the league in rebounding too playing in a league that had Dennis Rodman averaging over 16 RPG every year. Not to mention in this day and age the center spot has gotten tremendously weaker. This allows Dwight to play off his man a lot of the time and get more blocks/rebounds. He wouldn't be able to roam like that playing against guys like Hakeem/Ewing/Zo/Robinson on a nightly basis.

Atlanta is probably the worst sports city out of cities that have all 4 sports. Their teams have generally always sucked except for the Braves who had that huge reign of dominance in the 90's. Cleveland is pretty bad as well, but at least the fans give the team support which isn't always the case with the Atlanta teams. I give the Cleveland fans props for staying rowdy though. And the Bay Area team's suck too. Raiders and 49ers are both garbage right now as well as the A's. The Warriors arn't making the playoffs and it doesn't look like the Giants will either. The Sharks are the biggest chokers in the NHL so they have to be in it too. Seattle is pretty bad too. Their basketball team moved and the Seahawks/Mariners arn't exactly powerhouses right now either. Just seems like a depressing area.

I would rather have Perkins in those situations you listed. Perkins isn't a giant sniff so stop making Bynum look like a gazelle compared to him. I would rather have Perkins over Bynum in all of those circumstances you listed other than switching to guys on the perimeter, but when comparing the defense of 7 foot centers that is a very small detail. Bynum is two inches and 5 pounds more than Perkins and I guarantee you he's not nearly as strong. His "massive frame" isn't an advantage either. Boston was the best rebounding team in the league. They outrebounded their oppenents by an average of 4.53 rebounds per game. LA outrebounded their opponents by an average of 2.47 RPG. Margin of rebound is a better indicator than total rebounds as the pace of the game plays a big factor in total rebounds. Perkins got 18.7% of his teams defensive rebounds while in the game. Bynum got 17.9% of his teams defensive rebounds in the game. He got 10.7% of rebounds offensively while Bynum got 9.9% while in the game. Perkins is a slightly better rebounder. It's a fact. I used 25 points because you were jizzing over Bynum's 42 point game and say how Perkins would never sniff anything like that and acting like Bynum does it all the time. Well he had a good day and it was against the Clippers. He had one other game over 25 points(a little more than half of what he scored) so that shows it was a very rare occurance. Nothing to grab your willy over. Jamal Crawford scored 50 points in a game before. I guess his capable of being a teams primary scoring option. After all he did show he was capable of it.

Yeah I agree about Peters. He's really looked bad this preseason when he's played and that's not a good sign. He is struggling big time in pass protection and is showing Eagles fans how he was able to lead the league in sacks allowed the past two years. Jason Avant has looked amazing though and Asante had some big plays tonight for the defense. I wasn't able to watch the game, but I saw the highlights and analysis on it. And the Eagles sucking in preseason is nothing for concern. The Eagles usually do suck in the preseason and they have the highest winning percentage in the NFC for the last decade. You don't want to use your best plays in the preseason so that teams wont be prepared for it. Bradley's loss is pretty gay, but our LB's are going to have to do. Joe Mays will do better than any new guy coming in without knowledge of the system and I think he can be solid against the run.

Fixed You mad Chris Pronger's going to knock Kessel into the Green Monster this year?

LOL dumb Mutts, maybe Sheffield should pass along some of his steroids so that the rest of them can get healthier faster.

The Sixers suck and I still talk trash to the Laker/Magic fans at the games and make sure that they are not welcome in the stadium. I was expecting a little more hostility from "the biggest rivalry in the National League". And if I get the oppurtunity I'm going to go next year and do the same exact thing. Also lol @ "Good luck on the 7 train if your wearing phillies gear". Not one comment.

Should've made it top 5 since the top 4 is pretty obvious, it's just how you want to arrange them. 1. Magic Johnson 2. Oscar Robertson 3. John Stockton 4. Isiash Thomas 5. Bob Cousy Oscar Robertson is one of the most underrated players in history. For his first 5 years combined he averaged over 30-10-10 and he introduced the fadaway jumpshot to the game. He has 9 All NBA teams to Stockton's two and Thomas's 3. Can't believe people have him so low or off the list completely

wut........ NBA: Shaq NFL: Brian Dawkins NHL: John Leclair if you can include retired players, RJ Umberger if present MLB: Jayson Werth

Sessions ditching Knicks for Clips?
Diesel replied to magicbalala245's topic in General NBA Discussion
Clippers have CAP room next year right? Man can you imagine if they added LeBron? I'm not aware of their CAP situation, but Bill Simmons keeps bringing the idea up in his articles. If this move puts them out of the LeBron and other top FA race then I would hold back on this. -
Because Jameer Nelson was playing all-star basketball for the entire season up until it ended. Bynum was only playing all-star basketball for a period of 2 weeks or so and that's the only time in his career he's shown that flash. I'd like to see him do it for a longer period of time. Plus Bynum was available for the entire playoffs and was starting while Nelson obviously rushed back too soon to play a back-up role for the NBA Finals. I could tell your team rep without even looking at it. How is Bynum more versatile on defense? And he is not a better rebounder than Perkins who was pulling down nearly 12 a game in the playoffs as Boston's top rebounder. Boston was the best rebounding team in the league and Perkins was a big part of that. Without KG you see how his RPG numbers inflated in the playoffs. And once again it looks like your another one of those guys that jerks off to Bynum's 2-3 weeks of solid production. His stats in that span are inflated as well because of that 42 point, 15 rebound game against the CLIPPERS loool. No other game comes close to that offensive production he had that game. There was only one other game during the entire season in which he had at least 25 points and it was against the Timberwolves in a fast paced 133-119 game where no defense was played and stats were inflated. And Perkins had as many 25+ point games during the season as Bynum did lool. Perkins is just in general a more dependable player who is more durable and more consistant.

http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/61291/20090825/beasleys_father_i_didnt_know_it_was_this_bad/ Ok so his dad says the photo wasn't in Beasley's home and that his son doesn't use marijuana which leads me to believe that Beasley was suicidal. It makes sense seeing as how he worked out in Houston to get away from everything. I really hope the guy the best and that he gets some anti-depressents or whatever they need to give him to get him on the right path. Get well Beas

LOL says who just started liking the San Francisco Giants this year and has an Orlando Magic signature And if you want to go around making claims like "Randolph being better" then at least support it.
