Why has Q been getting traded so frequently? If I'm not mistaken isn't he a double digit scorer with some size? Oh well good addition
-
Wow blair? It's definetly Taylor Griffin all the way. The team that got him walked out of draft night as the biggest winner

Which jersey is better: POR or PHI?
Diesel replied to ruderock23210's topic in Philadelphia 76ers Team Forum
Portland They had one of the sickest jersey's in the league before the change and their new ones are pretty awesome looking too. I'm not a fan at all of the Red away ones we got. Let's get some pics in this thread for comparison. http://d.yimg.com/a/p/sp/getty/55/fullj.097cb53cbc7951825fcfed24dfc59fa0/097cb53cbc7951825fcfed24dfc59fa0-getty-89643103jg043.jpg http://blog.oregonlive.com/blazers/2009/08/large_blazers-jerseys.JPG -
Yeah, but you got to factor in the shooting numbers. B-Diddy averaged 37% from the field and 30% from three point land and that is a god-awful field goal percentage. Anyone shooting at that horrible efficiency belongs no where near the top ten. Jameer on the other hand shot 50% from the field as well as 45% from downtown. That's the difference. B-diddy had guys on his team that can score the ball also so his team didn't suck that bad. Kaman, Randolph, Thornton, Gordon are all capable scorers. Now defense and team chemistry is another issue lol, but no doubt those guys can all score

Racist. What does Bogut do on the basketball court to make him have a higher basketball IQ than Shaq? Shaq just appears as an idiot since he's always messing around on camera, but if you notice he is focused during the games. Here's my legit ones C- Shaq F- Tim Duncan F- Shane Battier G- Kobe Bryant G- Jason Kidd 2nd team C- Yao Ming F- Luis Scola F- Matt Harpring G- Brandon Roy G- Steve Nash
-
C- Samuel Dalembert F- Stromile Swift F- Antoine Walker G- Ricky Davis G- Sebastion Telfair

Dude you need to get your eyes out of the stat sheet. It isn't about getting a "sack" for one or two plays. It's about consistantly preventing pressure from being put on the QB and giving him ample time to make a play. And I'm not arguing that any offensive tackle is better than any WR. A guy like Fitzgerald makes more of an impact than any of them and no WR averages 10 passes/150 yeards/2 TD every game. You'l be lucky to see one guy have a game like that a year while elite OT keep their QB's healthy and prevent more than just one or two sacks.

1. Deron Williams 2. Chris Paul 3. Tony Parker 4. Chauncy Billups 5. Derrick Rose 6. Steve Nash 7. Devin Harris 8. Rajon Rondo 9. Jameer Nelson 10.Andre Miller I don't get why everyone is overrating Jason Kidd. I watched a bunch of Mavs games last year and he doesn't look like anything special anymore. His shot is alright now, but that's it. A lot of times they play him at the two-guard to allow him and Barea to play together so that takes some of the playmaking ability out of his hands. He has slowed down a lot and gets owned by the quicker guards now. He isn't as good at penetrating and running the break as he used to due to his loss of quickness.

Impacting the game should be the biggest factor when comparing players at different positions. And yeah I'd say a dominant OT like Roo's makes a bigger impact than a star WR like Calvin Johnson by the way. Eagles missed Tra Thomas for a game(and he's def not on Roo's caliber) and his backup allowed something like 6 sacks alone from Umenyiora as the Giants owned the Eagles. Just because Roo's doesn't catch the TD passes doesn't mean he impacts the game any less than Calvin Johnson. The game is won in the trenches and skill position players are some of the most easily replacable positions in the league.

I don't get why Tony Gonzalez is ranked 29th. So he impacts the game more than Westbrook and all those over guys? No way.

If Brad lidge blows the game how many people do you think throw their Brad Lidge bobble head onto the field?

McCoy is going to be a bigtime contributer for the Birds this year. A big contributer. I'm not as sold on Maclin making a big impact this year, but he'll shows flashes of his potential. Yeah Buckley looked way better than Booker ever has. Booker always shies away from contact and runs to the sidelines while Buckley just runs right in there. Guy looked really good getting both Touchdowns and was able to run the screen really well. Also I dunno if anyone remembers the Aker worries last year, but he missed from beyond 40 yards again on that final attempt to win the game. If it was a regular season game we would all be reallly pissed. He's going to bring up cause for concern with misses like that. Also does anyone think Vick will be the successor to McNabb when he's done. I was just thinking about this and McNabb has two years left on his contract and is approaching his mid 30's while Vick is 29 and is only now truly training for the first time according to himself of course. lol saw Vick jersey's at the mall yesterday too was pretty funny.

Saw Andre Iguodala and Thad-Young at footlocker yesterday. They were there for the unveiling of the house of hoops crap or whatever. Was pissed because even though it was entertaining seeing them answer questions and give awards to local hoop stars the fans didn't get to meet them or get them to sign crap.

Thunder hire Maurice Cheeks as assistant coach
Diesel replied to Warren2ThaG's topic in Oklahoma City Thunder Team Forum
Yeah I agree with Mason, Maurice is a great coach for a young up and coming team, but he just doesn't have what it takes to get to the next level beyond that. He isn't a real good X's and O's kind of guy. -
Brad Lidge is terrible. They need to put his [expletive] on the bench. I guess those league leading 8 blown saves arn't enough for Manuel to realize that he is trash. Sit his [expletive] down Charlie

Ah another loss for the Mets. That's what I like to see. Only 12 games back now B)

It's the same with Arco Arena. During their heyday there were plenty Kings fans around, but now that they blow they seem to be extinct.

Who will be the best players from the 09 draft class?
Diesel replied to Dash's topic in NBA Draft History
Blake Griffin is going to be a top PF in the league down the road. I also think Ricky Rubio will eventually develop into somewhat of a dynamic player and I don't see him getting any love in this thread. I think that Harden and Curry will be the other players that will be all-stars. -
I used to watch every non nationally televised Miami Heat game on this one site. You just have to search. The site's always get shut down and new ones open up constantly. Just search "live sports streaming" and you can find some good ones. I'm not a fan of justin.tv either. The Heat games I did watch on there this year were terrible quality and constantly lagged.

Prolly the computer, I usually check it if I am not busy the entire day for a good amount of time. Even if there's nothing that I'm looking for at the moment I'll just go on random sites haha. Yeah I feel that way too even though it's obviously untrue I feel like a lazy [expletive] that is getting fat/losing skill or muscle. I didn't do any kind of physical activity today so I felt that way ahahaaha.

Preseason game tomorrow, I might be going to it I'm not positive as of now. I'm most looking forward to how McNabb looks out there and I really want to see McCoy. And to the idea of signing Derrick Brooks I say eff that. He is done and injury prone. Joe Mays reminds me of Trotter and I think he can really step up this year. Obviously not to that magnitude, but I'm expecting good things.

Cornelius Ingram likely out for season
Diesel replied to Phightins's topic in NFC Conference Discussion
Yeah I heard nothing, but good things about the guy too from training camp. It really sucks. We should look to acquire Todd Heap from Baltimore who fell on the depth chart. -
Dwyane Wade buys $1.4 million Chicago townhouse
Diesel replied to Warren2ThaG's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
Yeah Amare isn't from Miami. It's a known fact Wade spends a lot of his time in his hometown and still helps the community there. -
