Notebook: Vick heading to Seattle?
Diesel replied to Warren2ThaG's topic in NFC Conference Discussion
Yeah Adrian Peterson got his [expletive] stuffed. Reminds me of when Brian Dawkins absolutely owned him in the playoffs. Chester Taylor too -
Dude gtfo JAYSON Werth(tired of seeing Jason) would not be first or second in strikeouts. In 18 games against your precious AL East Jayson Werth batted exactly .300 going 21-70 with an average of .8 Strikeouts per game. So his batting average improved and his Strikeouts per game stayed about the same against the AL. Considering the SO leaders average about 1.4 strikeouts per game and Jayson is pretty consistant with the .8-1 strikeouts per game there's no way he leads the league in K's. Bullllll

You mad Phillies got Cliff Lee for nothing and are now the unanimous favorites in the NL while the Mets are below .500?

I can't make up my mind so I'll toss some out there. -Owning Mike Vick and the Falcons in the 2004 NFC Championship game. I remember hearing about how Vick was going to run all over our defense and Jim Johnson cut off his scrambling with Burgess and Kearse. Vick went through hell that game. And when the Eagles won Jim Johnson said "this is the best day of my life". - In 2005 Owning Prime LT and holding him to the worst game of his career. - Owning the eventual Superbowl Champions Steelers this year knocking Big BEn on his [expletive] countless times. post your memories Eagles fans.

Moves like these are why Charlotte has never had a winning season in franchise history and why they have never made the playoffs.

I was pissed I missed it. I heard it's on Saturday night at 2 am though in case anyone missed it. Funny stuff though, you can't imagine too many big name athletes doing this kind of thing.

Erik Blasco basically said what I was thinking especially with KG. On offense he has become mostly a jump shooter and his rebounding has slipped big time this past year. He is a choker who is incapable of leading a team in crucial stretches. It happened in Minnesota with Sam Cassell and it's happened in Boston with Pierce/Ray Allen. And Chris Paul is assumed as the perfect point guard although he's far from that. He is more dependable on pick and roll's than Steve Nash and lacks the size against some of the bigger point guards such as Deron Williams who owns him in head to head matchups on a consistant basis. Bosh sucks on Defense, isn't much of a rebounder, and is a soft player overall.

RIP.. Jim Johnson is the man and will always be the man. Prayers to his wife, kids, and grandchildren.

Agreed with all of them. Their all overrated players.

We got a lot of unhealthy mofos in here lol

Celtics won't do this, their not retarded. Yi is the biggest puss in the league while Big Baby is a guy that can come in and contribute.

Report: Powe Considering Offer From Cavs
Diesel replied to The Goods's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
Powe would be a great player for the Cavs in the playoffs. IMO he's better than Varejao and is a really underrated player. Too bad he had that injury; it really is a shame... -
No way is Gooden better than Gortat. He is trash on defense and Gortat has just as much touch around the basket as he does. Gortat is a way better defender too. WAY better. There's a reason team's were lining up for Gortat and Gooden was signed just now.

Philadelphia Interested In Flip Murray
Diesel replied to The Goods's topic in Philadelphia 76ers Team Forum
Flip is a play ground legend in Philly and not a terrible player hence he was able to average 12 PPG on a 2nd round team last year. However I'm thinking this dude is another Willie Green and I'm not sure if I'd want him. -
Ron Artest is a retard and if the Lakers lose Odom they didn't get better this offseason. He is still an idiot and has lost noticable quickness. He's still a nice player to have, but not as good as advertised.

Yeah I bought the Alonzo Mourning book "Resilience" a few months ago and read it. Great book on his comeback to the NBA and how much crap he had to go through. I havn't read a book in a while, but reading is a pretty fun thing to do as long as it isn't a lame book like the ones they make you read in school. I was into Stephen King books for a phase haha.

Wallace Returns To Detroit With 1-Year Deal
Diesel replied to The Goods's topic in Detroit Pistons Team Forum
Even though I absolutely hated Big Ben as a Piston it'll be nice to see him retire there where he left his mark on the game. -
Boozer is better than Lee in every way possible except effort. Boozer is ten times the low post scorer David Lee will ever be, and his jumpshot is better. Both are pretty good rebounders that arn't too good defensively, but Boozer's offensive production makes him a star. He isn't Zach Randolph on defense either. And Warrick is just ehhh. Odom is a player that contributed to a championship and although he's inconsistant I don't think LA wins it without him. There's about no chance LeBron comes to Miami next year and with Wade's future becoming a bigger and bigger question mark by the day the Heat need to put a better team around him now to get him to stay. The best possible scenario would be signing Chris Bosh next year and I think Boozer/Odom is better than Bosh.

Man Beaten To Death Outside Of Citizens Park
Diesel replied to EastCoastNiner's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
Yo Ashoo u mad philly fans would dismantle the laker fans and use their jersey to wipe their [expletive]? -
GO TO SOUTH BEACH LAMAR! I'm hoping it goes down and he signs for the MLE. I don't want to see the Lakers get anything in return for him.
-
lol wow dude is on crack, he's acting like a real idiot. And he's been doing this for days too apparantly?
-
Hey [expletive], how about we hear some evidence to back this up? And please don't bring some bullcrap from the Vet that happened many years ago up because the Vet isn't running anymore. Philly fans are the most passionate and you got to respect them for that. Every team with a decent following has some idiot that does this from time to time anyway.

Building an NBA Franchise: Is Going Big Still the Way to Go?
Diesel replied to Legacy's topic in General NBA Discussion
Look at all the contending teams Lakers: Gasol Magic: Dwight Howard Celtics: KG Spurs: Duncan Cavs: Shaq Of the top 5 teams in the league three of them contain first hallot hall of fame bigmen and Dwight will most likely be in there too and Gasol has a chance if he keeps his play up. Perimeter play is important too, but having a dominant bigman is always the number one priority.
