Tony Battie has been more impressive in this quarter than Spencer Hawes has been at any point this season (and that isn't saying much, Battie is not that good). Hell, if this team had a half-decent big man they would be solid.

Carcillo/Prust was basically a draw, I thought. Maybe slight decision Prust, but it was pretty even IMO.

Perhaps the greatest sporting event experience of my life. He looked very good actually (or maybe my expectations were just too low...or a combination of both). They threw him right into the fire by putting him on a line with Richards and JVR and he did not look out of place at all. Led the team in shots actually, I think.

Flyers/Rangers tonight. First time experiencing my buddy's new second row seats. Can't [expletive]in wait.

So, Doug Collins did not come out to coach the second half. Still having vertigo symptoms I guess.

Through the first four games, Hawes has struck me as a guy who only has his job because of his size, with no ability whatsoever. Looked decent in the first quarter tonight.

Don't get greedy. I am just happy that the Flyers have a first round pick at all this season. In essence, we have not had one in 3 seasons. Maybe they can trade Jeff Carter and get another one .

Couple things today. Vlad Guerrero's mutual option declined by the Rangers, Adrian Beltre declines his player option (no surprise), and the Mets picked up Jose Reyes' option. Also, the Marlins are bringing back Edwin Rodriguez for next season.

Considered heading down to the game last minute. Decided against it.

Yeah honestly, it is comparing apples and oranges. Also, 41 regular season NBA home games as compared to what? I don't know the exact number, but I am pretty sure MLS teams only play a fraction of that. So obviously, the demand for tickets is going to be higher.

Word. I try not to let this team disappoint me anymore. Can't say the outcome tonight was a surprise. And yes, we are probably in for a lot more of that this season. Wonder if we will ever be rewarded for putting up with this team for so long, lol.

Reverse jinx FTW Still think he is a douche though! And yes, Elton has been good so far. I have always liked him though (as a Sixer, and when healthy). Problem is, there is nothing he can do to live up to the contract, so people will always hate on him.
