  1. When was the last time the Mets won on the same day as a Phillies loss?
  2. They are re-airing the pilot from season 1 tonight.
  3. I had super high hopes for FlashFoward as a potential Lost replacement, and I thought the first season was really good. I guess it got [expletive]ty ratings though since it was cancelled. I am hoping another network picks it up.
  4. Pretty old, but still hilarious every time.
  5. Blah. Jimmy back to the DL. Thankfully Wilson Valdez cleared waivers, since he is right back up with the big club.
  6. I think the Canadiens need to trade Maxim Lapierre to the Flyers in the offseason if that is the case. He is playing like he was born to be a Flyer!
  7. Wonder where all the sand in the Flyers tunnel came from?
  8. I wonder what Red Wings fans are thinking watching Ville Leino this postseason.
  9. Understandable that a Marlins fan wouldn't understand what passion for sports is all about. Speaking of which, turn on this game if you want to see passion. Looks like an insane atmosphere.
  10. Whatever. Not arguing with you. I haven't played the "NHL hates the Flyers!" card in over a year, so stop bringing that up.
  11. Look, I have been trying to be as objective as possible about the Flyers and the NHL in general this season. I have certainly dropped that "NHL against the Flyers" attitude. Glad to see you have taken notice. With that said, the Flyers may generally be "the dirtiest team in the NHL", but based on what I saw in the end of game 3 it seems the Canadiens are doing their best to take that honor. Just saying "well the Flyers are the dirtiest team in the league and have been for years" really isn't an excuse for how the Canadiens acted at the end of the game, and it is a really [expletive]ty argument to bring up when somebody mentions it. Very very easy cop out.
  12. Carter and Lappy both back in the lineup today. Nodl (expected) and Carcillo (wow WTF) are both healthy scratches. I don't really agree with that. Honestly I would have scratched Powe or Asham before Carcillo.
  13. I was at the game tonight. Surprisingly few Red Sox fans in attendance. Usually there are a lot more.
  14. Right calf strain (again). He says it did not feel as bad as the first one, and he is listed as "day to day" for now, but this team is almost never honest when it comes to injuries so there's no way of knowing.
  15. Lappy is probably playing tomorrow night. Jeff Carter possibly.
  16. Matchups for Red Sox series: Tonight: John Lackey @ Cole Hamels Tomorrow: Daisuke Matsuzaka @ Kyle Kendrick Sunday: Tim Wakefield @ Roy Halladay The Phillies have been horrendous in interleague play over the past few years.
  17. Pronger is very dirty (and I love him that way! ), but the Canadiens were taking way too many liberties at the end of last night's game for a game that they completely dominated. Luckily Dan Carcillo was not on the ice at the end of the game or he would have gotten himself suspended for sure.
  18. Yeah. If they can leave Montreal with a 3-1 lead, all will be well. Luckily, I don't think I can remember Chris Pronger having back to back bad games, and he was AWFUL tonight. So he should come out on a mission in game 4 (I hope).
  19. Well tonight was not a must win, but I would have liked to see a better effort than that. Pretty much everyone except Michael Leighton was terrible. Also I know the Flyers are known as the dirtiest team in the league but the way the Canadiens gooned it up at the end of a game they were dominating was pretty awful. Also, classy coaching to have the top power play unit on the ice on a 5-on-3 the end of the game.
  20. Definitely not a "must win" tonight, but it would sure be nice.
  21. Smitty, your damned avatar freezes up my computer EVERY time.
  22. I think the prospect of having Evan Turner on this roster is greater than any possible (realistic) trade package.
