Johan Backlund will be making his NHL debut tomorrow in Pittsburgh.

Don't read too much into that. Remember, we have heard about 5 or 6 different scenarios over the past couple days, and what the Eagles "are looking for". Just the media pulling [expletive] out of their rear ends because their bogus "sources" told them something. Until I see Donovan McNabb getting introduced by a new team and see what the Eagles got in return, I am not going to read too much into anything I hear.

If St. Louis accepts that I'd be very happy from a football standpoint (obviously I will miss Donovan a lot). I really don't see them getting anything more than that. And St. Louis's 2nd round pick is essentially a first round pick, haha. What I don't understand is why Donovan would want to go to St. Louis, although he has a past with their offensive coordinator, and of course Spagnuolo.

Long story short, the Flyers were robbed of at least 12 minutes of power play time, and the Flyers had an obvious goal taken away by the replay room in Toronto. Anton Volchenkov got away with two plays that would get most players suspended and he didn't even get a 2 minute minor for either (an elbow to Dan Carcillo's head and and drilling Simon Gagne from behind head first into the boards long after Gagne got rid of the puck). There were linesmen staring at both plays too, yet nothing was called. The aftermath of the Gagne play directly led to Ottawa's second goal. The Senators then got a 7 minute power play because Gagne jumped Volchenkov. The fact that Gagne was that pissed off should tell you all you need to know.

And it continues....... Holy [expletive] lol.

I've tried to drop the anti-Flyers conspiracy theories but this is hands down the worst officiating I have EVER seen. Ever. Maybe in any sport.

I think he could have gotten more on the open market, as crazy as that sounds. He obviously wants to be a Twin forever, and the Twins need him even more.

Yep, like he usually does. Lets just hope it actually carries over to April this year, and we don't need to wait for the summer for him to heat up.

I am hoping that Stefan Legein gets called up for the time being. I heard David Laliberte was their first choice, but he is injured now as well. Wouldn't shock me if they don't call anybody up though, and just activate Arron Asham/Ville Leino.

The 76ers are officially eliminated from the playoffs. What a disappointment!

That was embarrassing, but of all the problems with this team, Sammy's defense is about as far down the list as anything. That is one thing he does do well. Not sure what kind of point is trying to be made here.

I agree with Fish to a certain degree. There is a very good chance the Twins will regret this contract in 4-5 seasons. But I also stand by what I said earlier. They absolutely had to get him resigned and I think they basically gave him a blank check to get it done.
