The Loud and Proud section is buzzing! We got a couple shoutouts and a set of gifts: Deron face poster, Nets poster, and Nets cap.

I got tickets for the eighth and final team this season. Who knows if this is the last Nets home game before we move to Brooklyn. This is the offer I purchased them through: http://www.netsdaily.com/2011/4/6/2094880/loud-proud-section-part-2-last-home-game

Brook had 39 points with 9:50 to go in the game, and he took three shot attempts (including one tip shot attempt) for the rest of the game. He was having arguably the most dominant game of his career, and we seemed to just stop feeding the ball. Most points scored by a Nets center since Mike Gminski had 41 points 25 years ago. Lopez was the only starter playing in this game. Deron visited a hand specialist, Ammo traveled with the team but was hurt, and James and Humphries have been out.

Nets Put up 'Bound for Brooklyn' Billboard in Times Square
Teletopez replied to Teletopez's topic in Brooklyn Nets Team Forum
I'm thrilled that the team is headed to Brooklyn. Our attendance last decade was never higher than 18th in the league. As much as I enjoy going to Nets games frequently and conveniently (especially this season at the Prudential Center), playing in the league's most expensive arena in Brooklyn, possibly alongside Deron Williams, is something that catches the eye of free agents and big names. It may take some time for the arena to sell out, but over time, we may develop an extended fanbase there. There are people who are disappointed in the Nets leaving, but they shouldn't be unhappy about the team promoting the move. Our FO is doing what they feel is best to keep their superstar and facilitate succeeding early on at a new home. -

I'm not saying straight up that the Yankees didn't bring him back because of bullpen management. You were asking where Cashman was in relation to Torre's managing of the bullpen, and the quote I posted is clear indication that Cashman didn't defend him when his job was on the line. A key contributor to that may have been poor relief management.

Deron hits the game-winning jumper with Beasley missing the potential game-winning 3 at the buzzer. Nets escape after losing a 16-point lead.
-
No Ammo, Humphries, Uzoh, or Love along with those already inactive. Game not being televised on YES due to the Yankee game. Lopez and D-Will with super double-doubles. Williams has 16 points, 21 assists; Lopez 30 points, 12 boards.

12 HRs at Yankee Stadium this year, and we're in the third inning of the third game.

Ichiro broke the Mariner hit record with a go-ahead infield single in the ninth inning in Oakland (2247 hits).

Great read on this at the Orlando Pinstriped Post. Compare the two videos. He doesn't seem to be suited at all to the catch-and-shoot role. In the OKC game, though, he was given many more isolation plays, and there were a lot less instances where he was waiting on the weakside for a cross-court pass or kickout. Of course, years back, he was great with both spot-up shooting and doing what he did best as a go-to guy. But as he's gotten older, it looks like he's happiest with something like what they had going against the Thunder. Maybe this isn't a big enough sample-size for me to evaluate his role, but what do you guys think?

Ichiro has tied Edgar Martinez's record for hits as a Mariner with 2247 ten years after his debut. Ortiz broke Martinez's record for RBIs by a DH with 1004.

Burnett: 5 innings, 3 runs, 86 pitches (58 strikes), 6 K's, 1 walk. 2 of AJax's five career HR's have been against the Yankees. Teixeira has 2 3-run HR's in two games. Great start to his April. Russ with a big 3-run HR that opened up the gap once again. A-Rod with his first blast of the season as well.
-
Along with Feliciano and Logan as our LOOGYs and Robertson tied in there somewhere.
-
Rod Thorn's team clinched against his former club. Bruce Rather was at the game last night. Family re-union... Glad to see Avery giving Wright minutes in Humphries' absence. Solid debut for Mario West.
