I'm pretty sure that, even with the FO's possible state of desperation, they would hesitate to give up Montero alone. Can't say I'm disappointed. Banuelos has put up number similar to Clayston Kershaw's stats in AA, and Kershaw skipped AAA. Betances has made rapid progress and has a number one starter ceiling from what I've read.

Would it be possible to have a pop-up box that confirms whether or not you want to mark a forum (or the board for that matter) as read when you click those buttons? I tend to accidentally hit those markers, most of the time on my phone, and it's especially frustrating when I accidentally set the whole board as read.

Carmelo: "Wherever I go, I'm going to sign the extension"
Teletopez replied to Teletopez's topic in General NBA Discussion
A couple days ago, Marc Stein reported the following: ESPN If it's as simple as signing the extension wherever he goes, maybe this doesn't mean so much. -
Carmelo: "Wherever I go, I'm going to sign the extension"
Teletopez replied to Teletopez's topic in General NBA Discussion
I suppose what he means to say is that he just wants the money, regardless of where he goes, as long as he doesn't stay in Denver. -
Carmelo: "Wherever I go, I'm going to sign the extension"
Teletopez replied to Teletopez's topic in General NBA Discussion
Then why would he say what he did in the first response? Unless he's aware of Denver having some other deal completed, you would think he is aware that New Jersey is included in "wherever." In two questions, he goes from being clear to confusing everyone even more. -
Bargnani and Calderon were questionable for this game, but they both ended up playing. Bargnani and Kleiza were knocking down their shots, contested or not. We kept the turnover count to 2 in the first half, but things got sloppy as we lost the lead.
-
Graham and Murphy had their best games of the season, and Vujacic played with energy and effort. We played sloppy to start off the game, and Atlanta was on fire from the field, but we hung around and kept it close, thanks to Harris' work at the point and the bench, before taking charge in the final twelve minutes.

I doubt the Yankees would have gotten Greinke at the same price that Milwaukee paid. As for the Yankees not trying to trade for him, it was presumably due to their uncertainty of how he would perform in the Bronx and that they wanted to keep Banuelos and Betances.

Why were the Knicks scheduled to play their third game in four days after facing Boston and Miami?
-
I wasn't too crazy on the money either. 2008: 86 games, 53 innings pitched. 2009: 88 games, 59 innings pitched. 2010: 92 games, 63 innings pitched. In other news, the Yankees would have reportedly offered 2 years, $10M to Kerry Wood, but I guess he had his eyes set on Chicago.
-
Not sure if it was shared before, but Feliciano has officially agreed to a 2-year deal with the Yankees at $8-9M with a club option for a third year.

I believe this is the first time we've had a lead of more than 20 points since our season opener last year (we ended up blowing that lead to Minnesota, and we all know what happened the next 17 games).

Fred Kerber If Vujacic has the mentality that he has something to prove, the situation he is entering is great. He's in an environment where the system being ran is still in its stages of adjustment for the rest of the team, and where he can fight for being a key part in the rotation, since it has changed multiple times and is still not set in stone.

No Vujacic tonight. Fred Kerber

Morrow left early with a hamstring injury, and T-Will was inactive due to the trade. We've put up two disappointing offensive efforts in two games against the Sixers. A players-only meeting was held Wednesday.

Never came back to reflect on the game. It honestly felt like an away game with the boos Brook was getting at the stripe early on and the excitement every time Bryant knocked down a FT. Attendance wasn't as high as it was for the Sunday afternoon game against Miami early in the season, but there were a lot more Laker fans this time than Heat fans in that game. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/hs606.ash2/155866_1354313437494_1821195812_682979_1331963_n.jpg We were hovering between eight-point deficits and a one-possession game. We finally broke through with the lead change in the fourth quarter, but it didn't last. Harris gave Farmar as good a look as you could ask for to take a two-point lead, but he missed the shot, and a few miscues from there opened up our deficit. Our pressure on Kobe usually ended up in an easy feed to a teammate. Bryant was dominant throughout, which isn't always the case against Jersey since we have often forced him to give up the ball. MVP chants came alive late in the fourth quarter. We had three or four wide open shot attempts from long range that didn't go down, and as for the defensive end, neglecting to box out and do the dirty work at times came back to bite us. Certainly an exciting game, though. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs1223.snc4/155542_1354628325366_1821195812_683472_7986378_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/hs447.ash2/72032_1354629085385_1821195812_683476_7724882_n.jpg

Al Iannazzone Uzoh put up an impressive performance on Tuesday, creating some high-percentage shots for himself. Farmar's been a consistent shooter for us, and playing him alongside Harris should be nothing new. Hopes are high that Vujacic gives us a boost with shooting as well.
-
Jersey has lost eight straight, and the Wizards are still looking for their first road win. No Wall or Yi, and limited minutes, if any, for Blatche. We don't have Morrow for 2-3 weeks, which means Farmar gets the start, and increased playing time for Uzoh and Vujacic.

Seattle Times: Should M's consider trading Felix to Yankees?
Teletopez replied to Warren2ThaG's topic in Baseball Forum
In terms of acquiring a starter, the Yankees have been looking at a bunch of low-risk-high-reward players, including Braden Looper and Fausto Carmona. Smart approach to take, when you have a range of these guys to select from during Spring Training and the season. Boston did a similar thing with their bullpen after they couldn't sign Teixeira, and it was, for the most part, successful. -
Changing name to Brooklyn New Yorkers?
Teletopez replied to AboveLegit's topic in Brooklyn Nets Team Forum
I guess they are trying to work a name out with "Brooklyn" rather than "New York" if the Nets are the one behind this. I really think we should have New York as our location name. -

Sheridan: Melo Will Only Accept Extension With NYK
Teletopez replied to Teletopez's topic in New York Knicks Team Forum
Yeah, so I remembered to put Sheridan's name in the title for a specific reason. http://assets.sbnation.com/assets/505016/SheridanTweet-tz-290_medium.jpg Fanhouse
