  1. Athletic, long, agile, and the potential to reach all-star status is there. The only thing wrong with him is his IQ but Jordan has shown that he is willing to put in hours in the gym and learn.
  2. I actually wouldn't mind bringing Battier back next season if he comes cheap, but anyways along with Battier, Houston also have two big expirings in Yao and Jeffries. I'd say that is enough cash to throw at Marc Gasol. Seriously though Houston is in such a great position to rebuild its amazing and if the team continues to struggle in the coming weeks I don't see any reason to hold onto to an 'era' that is going nowhere.
  3. I think it really depends on what position the Raptors are in come February. If their playoffs hopes are looking bleak then the Raptors may go with the young asset, if they're in the playoff picture then Colangelo goes with the pricey veteran. Or it could be someone in the middle like Andre Iguodala. Not likely to happen but he may be Colangelo's number one target right now imo.
  4. That was McHale's doing but its good to know that the Wolves organization isn't as incompetent as we all once thought.
  5. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/basketball/nba/2010-11-24-975641919_x.htm This move makes absolutely no sense especially when you take into account that Henry is performing so much worse than Mayo right now. Is Hollins pulling this stunt to get a point across Mayo or is he trying to develop him into a sixth man?

  7. Agreed and just to clarify, I wasn't trying to take credit from the Raptors but what I posted is part of my reasoning for picking the Heat.
  8. Happy turkey day everyone, have a good one.
  9. Read more: http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/70242/20101124/thunder_assign_aldrich_to_tulsa_66ers/#ixzz16GnF7kEm Disappointing season for him, I thought he was one of the more NBA ready players in the draft (like Patrick Patterson, strange how both are in the d-league huh?) and he could have made an immediate impact up front for the Thunder. Instead it looks like he's going to need most or the entire season to further develop his game before he begins logging significant minutes on the court.
  10. Definitely. I think Tracy signing with Detroit is turning out to be the best decision he could have made. Detroit will very likely miss the playoffs this season and with no expectations, limelight and pressure Tracy is able to work himself into Detroit's lineup smoothly. Use this season as a developmental year and to gauge interest from contenders. As for him being passive I think Tracy is worrying too much about fitting in with the team and how the fans and critics will perceive him.
  11. The Heat easily. I'll admit that I didn't expect the Raptors to be 6-9 right now but there is nothing exceptionally surprisingly about a mediocre team playing .400 basketball. Besides they are barely ahead of Charlotte, New Jersey and Washington.
  12. 22 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 4.7 blocks per game. He's shooting roughly 60% from the floor and many of his shots are from posting up, and his hook shot is looking like a lethal weapon. This is coming from a stretch of 3 games against strong playoff teams in the Thunder, Lakers and Spurs. I don't expect Darko to continue to put up numbers like this but he's definitely been impressive.
  13. I really wish that Battier can help mold Courtney Lee into that 'perfect role player' we've seen from Shane in his younger days. He will never be as good as Shane defensively but he could be a vital player if he develops.
  14. I'm pretty disappointed that Jordan Hill played just 4 or 5 minutes. These inconsistent minutes are hurting him.
  15. Just 3 points in overtime, one play in regulation where Wesley Johnson fouled Neal for 3, and the last 2 plays in overtime were dreadful. Solid game overall though for the Pups especially for Darko, who was the go to guy in the post before fouling out.
  16. Shane Battier: 13 points (5-11 and 2-6 from three point land), 6 rebounds and 4 blocks. Welcome back batman!
  17. Great news, we desperately need them both back.
  18. Lol yeah but Sactown just doesn't have anything else that could pry a borderline all-star or a really good starter like Brooks. Kings would definitely move up in the standings though with Brooks but the pick would still be in the top 8 or so. Besides the lottery this year isn't exactly much to fawn over although the top 3 (Barnes, Jones and Irving) looks solid but I wouldn't mind that protection. *prays the Rockets come out with Harrison Barnes and Kyrie Irving on draft night* *tries to haggle with God*
  19. Teague is a decent looking prospect but I think the reason they are so reluctant to let go of him is because of how thin they at point guard. Bibby looks like he done and should be coming off the bench but Teague isn't ready to take over a starting job just yet. Atlanta will likely groom him this year and finally hand him the spot next season. However, if the Kings are willing to part with someone like Carl Landry then Atlanta should definitely consider it. As for Brooks though I don't see anything on the Kings roster I'd like in return except Omri Casspi and an unprotected first round.
  20. He needs to stop worry so much about a paycheck that he is not worth and get back to playing the game of basketball like he did last season. If he keeps up this play I don't see Atlanta resigning him especially with Jordan Crawford looking so promising.
  21. http://www.sacbee.com/2010/11/24/3208525/things-have-gone-from-to-bleak.html Neither seem like realistic options right now unless the Kings would be willing to pay a significant price.
  22. Some decent looking plays the past couple of games, definitely encouraging to see him getting up like that again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQmLxHDZZXk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9NaB-aOBfls http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Gg30zbUMDI
