the people who can afford it need to deal with no health insurance.

i worked hard to get where i am and not only that my parents did too.

for these crackhead lazy mother effers that live off the government already rip us off with welfare and [expletive].

its bs.

these people have litters instead of having 1 child at a time

not exactly what happens, but good try...

first of all, many people are just as successful as you are, but do not have health insurance. I know my Dad owned his own real estate company for several years. Being the owner of the company, he did not get health insurance from his job. For a while, my entire family was uncovered. Thankfully, it didn't really hurt us too much beacuse none of us were really sick often. But, eventually he was able to afford health insurance as his business prospered.

Then the recession hit, and the real estate market crashed. He was forced to give up his business and go to a different field. Now he works for PNC Bank. We are all covered with a solid plan (not great, but it's sure as hell better then nothing)...

Now that I've seen both sides to it, just because you're self-employed and you aren't fortunate enough to be in a position where you're employer covers you, doesn't mean you should go with out insurance. Those people are working just as hard as you too man.

With your charming personality I can't imagine why. Can't believe how greedy we've become where we can't help your fellow American. So yeah your helping crackheads or w/e but your also helping that single mom who works two jobs and has 3 kids and can barely get by. No system is perfect. I'd rather help everyone as opposed to helping no one. Money is nice and all but at the end it just paper and money can only buy you so much. Let's be honest this plan isn't sending anyone who is getting taxed more to the poor house.

I havent gotten 1 interview you mong, even after applying at 20 places. I really love these Republicans who are supposed Christ-lovers and pro-life but dont choose to help kids who dont have healthcare or help the poor, Jesus himself even spoke against the rich and helping the poor, its so hypocritical on so many levels.

Well in a capitalist society, not everybody can work, there have to be homeless people which is why I am all for socialism, everybody can put food in the table, everyone has healthcare and doesnt have to die because they dont have the proper funds to help themselves, capitalism is a system of government for the rich, simple. I am trying to work, but after applying at millions of places, nobody has given me a job, its bull[expletive].

Why should the people with more money be forced by double or triple what they're paying already? I don't know your job situation. Either better qualified people applied as well or there just aren't any openings available.

I agree that we need healthcare reform but I don't think it needed to be done like this.

There's no reason why people with more money should have to pay more for less services while others don't have to pay a dime.

This system is going to cost at least 3-times what they say it will. Never has there been a government entitlement that has cost less than 3 times what it cost so I don't expect this one to be any different. Point is, this is only running up our deficit that has already been run up more by Obama in his term than by Bush in his entire 8 years.

This is only going to create another Medicare system than has already proved to be a massive failure and doctors are going to start leaving the practice even though we already have a shortage of primary care doctors.

I'm not against healthcare reform but I think the Dems are going about it completely wrong.

Ive applied at, at least 3 places that are supposedly hiring now, applied at a few movie theatres, Home Depot, Lowes, Wal-Mart, nobody has even called, and I am getting super fed up with it because I am desperate for money.

There is a reason those people should pay more, because they are spending money on a Porsche or a gigantic house (which they dont need) and people who dont have healthcare who are sick need it.

Healthcare also does need reform, 44% of Americans or some other number like that is the percentages of Americans who are happy with the current healthcare system while the number is much higher in socialist societies like Denmark (which is in the 90s percentile btw)

It's just stupid.

Health-care is a benefit, just like bonuses are at jobs, and maybe getting a higher salary if a company gives you health-care insurance.

It's not people's fault that they are successful.

Its not also the people's fault that America's beautiful government system doesnt give everyone jobs, even people who apply 20x and dont get one [expletive]ing call.

Who are you or any of us to tell other people what they should or shouldn't spend their money on. This is America, a free country where people have the choice on what they spend their money on which is how it should be.

How old are you? That might have something to do with it as well. If there are people who are older and more qualified, businesses are more likely to choose them than an 18 year old kid fresh out of high school.

Older and more qualified? Didnt think you had to be older or more qualified to work at a movie theater or wal-mart.

Not everyone who can't afford health care isn't a just a bum or crack head. They need help too. So just because someone can't afford it, we shouldn't help them? So lets let them get sick and die. Its just an endless circle.

health care up here is pretty good, we everyone seem ok. There are way more people suffering than people who can afford it.

Like you can see if from two different sides; you can see it from helping out and being equal, or seeing it as it just bailing out people who do not deserve it.

Exactly.

It is those people's fault though, because they've worked their asses of to get to where they are today. Not every rich person inherits their money. And don't give me the whole lack of education thing because my father didn't even finish college and has made a wonderful living for over 20 years. There's always an opportunity to make something of yourself. There are so many lazy people in this country looking for a handout from the government and they've gotten that and plenty more.

Here's a tip for the single mom with 3 kids. Tell your man to wrap it up next time. Problem solved.

Like I said, I'm not against reform but this is costing waaaay too much for some people now. Its running up our countries deficit even more and making people pay a lot more money for less services.

Older: Most likely more mature and can deal with customers easier than an 18 year old who will most likely not handle those situations as well.

More qualified: Done it before so the employer won't have to worry about them messing up.

Yes some people dont deserve it, but thats because of America's government system, it doesnt give everyone jobs, if people are having 3 kids and not working, maybe we should introduce more socialistic policies which enable people to pay taxes for more children and apply the John Smith rule (if you dont work, you dont eat ) policy, but neither the Republicans or Democrats would want that

Its not the governments fault. The companies decide who to hire. Our government shouldn't tell people what to do and who to hire. Its the owner of that business' choice.

Its just called responsibility. Be f'ing responsible and don't bang 5 different guys at a time and end up with 3 kids. The people who have money already pay to support those people who don't do [expletive] as it is. There's no reason why they should have to do it even more.

Care to explain how medicare has been a complete failure?

Why should people go broke over high medical bills? Not everyone can be as successful as you BRO.

Me too man. I've applied everywhere, but it's been hard. Haven't even had an interview yet. I need money for a car. :(

Btw, I applied at Target and I didn't get a call for over months. My classmate has a friend working there, and my classmate got the job with one quick interview. hella weak.

Here you go:

According to the 2008 report by the board of trustees for Medicare and Social Security, Medicare will spend more than it brings in from taxes that year (2008). The Medicare hospital insurance trust fund will become insolvent by 2019.

It's going broke, doesn't pay doctors enough to cover their overhead costs and pay employees and it doesn't cover as much as private health insurance.

BTW, same exact thing for me. I applied at many places, and then my friend who has 0 working experience and is dumb as a lamp post gets a job within days of calling and gets immediatly hired after his interview.

For the guys looking for jobs. Do you have a resume? That's pretty important and always looks good to have one. I'd also try maybe finding some office work like filing, etc. Maybe the bigger places and companies are looking for older workers.
