Looks like we're out! No way an established vet who means as much to his team as Toney Douglas would have to give up his number.. shucks.

Toney Douglas should take number double 0

Amar'e's brother was killed in a car accident, and he'll miss at least the Jazz game.

Amar’e Stoudemire’s older brother died in a car accident in Florida early Monday morning, and Stoudemire has left the Knicks to be with his family. He will miss Monday night’s game against the Utah Jazz.

Hazell Stoudemire, 35, was killed when his 2007 Cadillac Escalade collided with the rear of a tractor trailer on Highway 27 in Lake Wales, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Stoudemire was driving at a high rate of speed and was attempting to pass the tractor trailer, according to the accident report. He was not wearing a seat belt.

J-Lin wants fam privacy:

Jeremy Lin asks that Taiwan media respect his family’s privacy

NEW YORK – After one more starry performance Sunday, New York Knicks phenomenon Jeremy Lin delivered a plea to the media in Taiwan where his grandmother and family live: Back off.

“The special request I have is for the media back in Taiwan to give (my family) space, because they can’t even go to work without being bombarded, without people following them,” Lin said at Madison Square Garden. “I want people to respect their privacy.”

His paternal grandmother, Lin Chu Muen, 85, lives in the Taipei region of the country, as does other extended family.

Just saw this (no pun, NYK fans):

(...) I’d love to go into who the Knicks should target in free agency to fill the necessary holes, but the uncertainty of a new CBA makes it difficult to fully gauge who will be available and at what cost. You can judge for yourself by checking out the free agent classes for 2011 and 2012. But what we’re looking at is a Knicks team that desperately needs not only a higher salary cap, but one that is “softer” and allows for exceptions to exceed it. Otherwise, we could be headed for yet another dark period of being the red-headed middle child stuck in the NBA’s dreaded purgatory.

And quite frankly, we don’t want to see THIS again:

And by the way, that's a sick tee:
