A look at Boston's 11-game win streak
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in Boston Celtics Team Forum
So what's the point of even watching the regular season? What's the point of NBA.com's power rankings at this point of the season? Why even talk about Amir and Pops when both players "play different" against other teams? You just didn't find interest in the discussion. That doesn't make it a useless topic, that makes YOU useless to the topic. If one person replies in here with an actual noteworthy post, it's not useless because it spawns discussion. Analyzing what Boston does against ANY NBA team, ANY streak, is important. A streak of games gives you home and away, back-to-backs, and multiple playing styles, doesn't necessarily matter the quality. Then don't post in the topic of the team you don't like. I am around to post about every single team I can, create topics no matter what. I don't fall in the same category as you do, I guess. -
Who would you want to win the NBA Finals?
Real Deal replied to kingfish's topic in General NBA Discussion
You created a poll with choices based on your opinion. If the Hawks are contenders, anyone here can argue that the Mavericks and Suns are, even the Nuggets. Plus, why put up a poll without an "Other" choice? For all anyone knows, the Spurs could run off 15 straight in the second half of the season and snag the 2-3 seed. -
The Cavaliers are still a dangerous team, guys. They just need to get Shaq out of there. He's changing that entire team around, but not for the better. Great teams lose, sometimes. Boston just lost to the Sixers a couple nights ago. Does that mean we'd sweep them in a series?

...and if you're a fan of the Western Conference team other than the Lakers, you're just SOL in this topic. -
A look at Boston's 11-game win streak
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in Boston Celtics Team Forum
What the hell is wrong with you? Go cool off or something. The topic was created to talk about their 11-game win streak, to see who they beat and what caused some of them to be close, to take a deeper look at Boston's strengths and weaknesses. Better than a Pops vs. Amir thread, right? -
Five total posts in a Lakers game topic? :o This game was boring, though...and early.

LeBron and Shaq lost this one.

Safest bet is LeBron.

Hate to say it, but drugs/pills could've been involved. I was never aware that she had a heart condition, and 32 is pretty young. Plus, being an actress and having money, putting two and two together here... RIP.

The Jayhawks beating the Nets? I don't know about that, guys. I don't think I can name too many college teams (in NCAA history) that can handle ANY professional team. Harris, CDR, Lopez...those three were excellent college basketball players who are now better overall players, and you can even take what one of their bench-warmers did and apply that as well (Sean Williams at BC, for instance). It would be a beating. Kansas has talent, but not all of them are going to be drafted, and not all of them will even play a single game in the pros. The Nets have a full roster of professional players. Big difference.

Probably an injury, because he was playing limited minutes the other night for no apparent reason.
-
I'm not talking about giving him shots to develop him, I'm talking about throwing the ball down low when we really need him, like we were doing in the Memphis game. The second half was a little too sloppy for my taste in comparison to what KU has been doing all year long, so it would be nice to see them go down low and at least work off of him.
-
So, yeah, a developmental league... Maybe they can play on a 9'5" rim? That would piss off Paul Pierce, though.

Haha, sorry about that. I've got my computer locked up pretty good, so sometimes, I'll answer questions with my mind set on me having the problem, and not a typical user. But yes, usually, the default admin accounts are not password protected, so jumping into safe mode and logging in that way will give you access to whatever you need to change accounts. Otherwise, there's a method of using the password recovery programs, or another more-complicated method of using command lines, but yeah...

Nate Robinson's Agent Requests Trade
Real Deal replied to Teletopez's topic in New York Knicks Team Forum
Changed the title. I don't know why they aren't playing him. It's an ideal system, and the Knicks are struggling. -
Haha yeah, I said that somewhere in a topic on here, open shots and all.

What I like most about Green is that he can play big. I was flipping back and forth between CHI/ATL, MIL/SAC, the football game, and this game (LOL), and it seemed like every time Green took someone in the post, he was either successful at scoring the ball, or drawing another guy over just a bit (not exactly forcing a double, but getting the attention of another defender is still a good thing). The only thing he needs to work on is that shooting percentage, which should be higher due to the countless times he gets into the post, and his passes back out of the post. Plus, when the Thunder played Orlando earlier this year, Green did a fairly good job on Dwight Howard, defending a guy much bigger and stronger. Pretty impressive.
-
Cowboys/Saints, guys. If you want to compare players, do it in a separate topic and watch the personal attacks.
-
The turnaround happened at 74-74. I was watching the game downstairs at that time, and right when I turned it on, it seemed like Orlando juiced their offense, ran up probably 10-11 consecutive points, and never looked back. Having more than one guy as a three-point threat does wonders, because it gives you the ability to space out the defense, open up the lanes, and attack the rim. The Magic were getting what they wanted, and if they had only knocked down a few more of their open shots, this would've been a nastier win.

Did anyone see Duncan fight for that game-winner? Hibbert reminds me of Oden, in a way...and that was a clean block, but Duncan wasn't going to lose to a Granger-less Pacers team tonight. Plus, Tim cleaned the glass pretty damn good, also. Dude still has it.
-
Not to mention it's Nick Young playing good this game, Washington again playing no defense, and it's really hard to tell where anyone is at (mentally) for the next game. But hey, the Wizards could win their next four. vs. Philly @ Milwaukee @ Minnesota @ Memphis Not too tough...but three are on the road, so...
