  1. The fact the Wizards kept Arenas after drafting Wall to serve as a 'mentor' was a sign early this was going to go all wrong. I felt that way at the time too, but I was bias since I hate the shit out of Arenas.
  2. Wall is a victim of circumstance. Its kind of like how Reke is the same player he was as a rookie almost 5 years later. Sure some of the blame falls on the player, but you can't just expect 19 year olds to come in with an attitude like Durant and put work in every day. The fact of the matter is the groundwork was (is) there for Wall as a player, the problem came as a result of: -Brutal surrounding environment, in terms of talent as well as just a bad atmosphere (arenas, and shitty chuckers who don't care about winning) -Coaches who didn't challenge him to put work into his game -Lack of individual work ethic, though, again you could put a lot of the blame on the organization http://pbs.twimg.com/media/BAGmH9nCEAAICvi.jpg That picture sums it up. There is no doubt in my mind would could have been an elite player. The question now is, is it too late? Given the injuries and 4 years of no progress in his game.
  3. [expletive] you Dwayne Case. [expletive] you.
  4. Derozan and Lowry. How is that not an option. Wow.
  5. LOL. That's amazing that he tweeted that. You knew he was thinking it, but the fact he confirmed it.. amazing.
  6. I'm surprised they didn't show anything about the console or pricing. I guess they don't want to go to E3 empty handed while Xbox (presumably) unveils their new system. I'll wait until Xbox shows some shit, I'll prob just buy whichever is better. Probably will make the PS4 switch since I've been on 360 for so long, and all my buddies have playstation now.
  7. Wow. I am shocked Orlando couldn't get better than this. they probably stubbornly told San Antonio that it was Kahwi or nothing, which is insane since Kahwi is a better asset/player (down the line). I get it is the last year of his deal, and he supposedly wants 10M annually (lol), but damn, they got literally nothing for him. Those guys aren't even NBA players.
  8. It's so ridiculous. The GM should be fired way before Ruff. Its like that in every sport - how does the GM get to put together crap team after crap team but go through multiple coaches? I'll never understand that.
  9. Voracek is killing it for my fantasy squad! I've been waiting for him to make that jump once he started playing with Giroux more. He's got a lot of skill
  10. Problem is, Pierce will only play on a contender if he's dealt. Is it even worth pissing of Celtics fans to deal Pierce to a team for a couple of picks that will probably be in the 20's? I just don't see why Boston would deal Pierce, KG or any of them. They waited too long, their value is shrinking each day. Its not worth it.
  11. How suiting would it be if this was Bargs' last game? 0-4, no points, 22 mins, 2 boards.
  12. Watch announcement right now here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2013/feb/20/sony-playstation-4-launch-live
  13. Is it too early to be looking at our first round matchup with Miami?
  14. Man I've been such a huge advocate of Kadri all these years I've honestly never been happier to see a guy succeed in any professional sport. The fact people wanted him traded for scraps, calling him a bust, etc, it used to be infuriating to have to debate that shit in person, never mind online. He keeps getting better each game, and obviously its only 16 games and we don't know if he is going to be a point a game player in this league (probably not), but he has at least shown he is definitely an NHL player. I can't wait to see him get a guy like Lupul or JVR on his wing onceif everyone is healthy again.
  15. All-star weekend is bordering on underrated these days. It's ridiculous. The 3 point shootout was awesome despite the format butchering it, and the dunk contest got off to a slow start but finished up pretty solidly. I missed the skills contest but that has always been my least favourite contest anyways (unless you count the shooting stars thing, which needs to go). As Zach Lowe has said, a 1 on 1 tourney would be amazing.
  16. Probably nothing, like 95% of Laker trades in the history of this league.
  17. Well Gay wasn't even on the raptors when they played LA so....
  18. Dinner and a movie with one red rose. University budget.
  19. I can't help but wonder where he'd be today if he had a non-asshole coach jerking him around for the past 3 years (Wilson).
  20. It's ridiculous that teams act like they have exclusive rights to their players and have the inherent right to low ball them just because they are 3 years pro. I get why teams don't do it, and I get teams will do it back to them (umm, who cares... you can match, and if they massively overpay, they get saddled with the contract, and you get picks.. win-win) - that doesn't make it any less stupid. To not explore all avenues of improvement for your team is ridiculous to me. I'm not suggesting offer sheeting everyone, but if a team can't retain their RFA because they are low balling him, and that player is a fit for another team, I don't get why they shouldn't offer that player what he is worth just because it will annoy a team who is low balling their player. I don't know what 'love' you are referring to. I don't see him getting huge hype very often. I think he is a really solid 2 way center and is only 21 years old. If you have a chance to get a player like that and he fits, I feel like you ought to do it.
  21. Jennings sucks. He literally brings almost nothing to the table. He is a worse version of Gilbert Arenas, who also sucked.
  22. I think the fact that teams practically refuse to offer sheet RFA's is ridiculous in the NHL. To not pursue every possible avenue to improve your team is ignorant, and an insult to your franchise and their fans as far as I am concerned. I don't care if another team is pissed - maybe you should have sorted your shit out with your player before he was a free agent, or not held them hostage because they are an RFA. The fact that they also get compensated for losing an RFA (quite handsomely as well mind you) makes it even more ridiculous teams get so pissed about it. I get its annoying to have a player taken out from under you, but guess what, if the GM calls you and tells you they are thinking of offer sheeting your RFA, that should be more than enough. It's ridiculous a player like O'Reilly is still not playing because his team is holding him hostage because no one else will offer. If Colorado tries to [expletive] you over by overpaying for one of your RFA's, well then so be it, enjoy the picks they'll be sending your way.
  23. Calm down. If you want to bitch about announcers, watch a Celtics game.
