  1. Dwight to Rockets makes more sense each time Harden kills it out there.
  2. So ridiculous. I would be mad if a superior 30 year old player was playing over those guys, but we're talking about 2 guys who are literally worse players. They bring nothing better to the table. It's inexplicable that Anderson is so relied on, his solid defense does not make up for his brutal shot selection. He is shooting .364 on the year. That's insane. I know Casey still has these pipe dreams about the playoffs, but we aren't going anywhere next year if Jonas and Ross aren't groomed for the last 25-30 games of this year. Ridiculous.
  3. Can anyone else confirm this? The time it takes to turn on my laptop is one of the most annoying parts about it. I have an asus, idk if that means anything. Been humming and hawing over getting windows 8. Have decided not to so far. Been thinking about getting an SSD this summer as well. Idk. This laptop cost me over a G, so I'm reluctant to throw it away (my gf tells me to shutup and not buy that shit and just get a new laptop in a few years... smh). Going to reformat it this summer, clear everything off, maybe get windows 8 and a SSD, and see if that helps it. Problem is, that is probably gonna run me close to 300, would I be better off waiting and getting a laptop? I have an i7 in this thing, Processor IntelĀ® Core i7 CPU Q 720 @ 1.60GHz, 1600 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)... w/e this means, 4 GB RAM, 500GB in hard drive space (both combined), etc etc idk much about this shit. Help!
  4. Having Jonas healthy and comfortable would be a step in the right direction. At a certain point, the whole playoff pipe dream has to go out the window, and we have to get Jonas as many minutes as possible. Having him be able to knock down 10-15 footers, rebound and protect the rim will be huge. I think his biggest problem right now is he just looks uncomfortable out there. He'll get there, but he can't be worrying about his minutes like he probably will be. We aren't making the playoffs, and he is the key moving forward for this team. I don't get why he is in the lineup. If he is only playing 5 mins a game cuz he's sore, he shouldn't be playing. Nice to see Demar getting calls for once. It makes him so much more useful when he's gets those calls. Having Gay is just going to make it easier for him - he should be catching and driving more, opposed to before when he had the ball in his hands and had to kinda create on his own, which he isn't really capable of. I also want to see him launching 3's - the only way he is going to get legitimately better is by taking them in game. Shooting in an empty gym will help, but it's not the same. Lowry struggled. He simply can't have games like this anymore. Anderson playing 30+ minutes is inexcusable. Okay, he's a solid defender and is gritty, but I don't care. He's not better than Ross, and isn't a piece of this team long term. Overall, we looked like a team that was simply outclassed. The fact it was so close down the stretch is pretty good I guess. Wish I was able to watch past the first quarter. I'd like to see our minute distribution on the wing more like 35 a piece for gay and Demar, 20 for Ross, and then the spare change for Anderson.
  5. I am talking about Columbus taking Murray 2 over Gally. I just don't think you take a solid defensemen over a guy with game breaker type of potential.
  6. Not huge into football but this seems like bullshit logic.
  7. Have to applaud the Knicks and Amare. Especially Amare, to set his ego aside like that. He is definitely their 2nd best offensive player, and to be content coming off the bench for the betterment of the team, that's how you win in this league. If he can commit to not being a negative on the defensive end, look out. I'm curious, Knicks fans, how is he getting his points? Typical Amare 14 foot face up jumpers? Or is he working on getting easy buckets, letting the game come to him. In other words, is this just a matter of a hot shooting stretch, or is he playing better?
  8. I wanted Galchenyuk so bad at the draft. I knew it was a pipe dream, but I was praying he'd fall to us. Don't know how he doesn't go 2nd in that draft, even with the injury. You just swing for the fences when you have a pick that high. Draft a stay at home defenseman in the 2nd round. Smh.
  9. They need to throw this season away. Its not worth breaking KG down anymore, he's signed past this year. If you're in the lottery you're in the lottery. Draft a decent player, or use it as a trade chip (surely Bradley+lotto pick can nab them a key piece under 30) KG needs to "sprain his knee". Unfortunately, don't think it is in his DNA.
  10. I don't see the sense in it, but there are two things at play: First, Pau is probably going to demand a deal this summer, further hurting his value along with LA butchering it themselves. Second, you absolutely have to believe that D'Antoni would be at the very least interested in having a shooting 7 footer next to Dwight. If there is any player that you can get away with playing Bargs, it is a healthy Dwight. Like BFT said, don't see what we can add (Ross was untouchable for Gay, who is probably more valuable, as bad as that is.. and Jonas.. lol good luck), Bargnani alone definitely won't cut it. Would a Bargs+first get it done? I'm not sure what the deal is for trading firsts when you already have a first rounder tied up in a condition (though OKC is 99.9% getting that pick this year). If on draft night (or the deadline if allowed), Raps call and offer Bargnani and their next first for Pau, does LA hang up the phone? Seriously doubt it. Not an advocate, but I would be willing to amnesty Bargs. If we can get one year out of one of the best bigs in the league, why not? Wouldn't put it past BC to trade off another first - he's done it in about half the years he has been here.
  11. Clippers looked like a team missing an MVP candidate. Still, fun to watch as a Raps fan, and no excuse for that sort of game by the Clippers. Also, ignorant move by Caron. Raptors were doing the right thing despite pleas from fans to score 100 for the pizza promo, and he steals the ball like that. I would have sent him into the 3rd row on his layup attempt.
  12. This looks like a D-2 highschool game, both in terms of effort, talent and crowd.
  13. Sick of hearing about salary and flexibility. A) we don't foot the bill B) no one wants to play here C) if Rudy Gay hits free agent 10 minutes from now, he gets another max contract from someone else
  14. if they do, it will be as much a product of the other teams as it will the raptors. I would bet a no on it. I am super curious to see how Rudy and Lowry do as the features of an offense though, especially Lowry. Curious how we will play - we struggled bad when we tried to run earlier in the year, and played better when it was a grind it out type of game, but when you add a guy like Gay, and Lowry and Demar are your backcourt, how do you not run?
  15. If this gets done for just Davis+Jose, then whatever, I'm on board. I get what BFT is saying, but give me a team that is going to be in the mix for the playoffs for the next half decade or so over a maybe 5% chance of being a contender. I also get that Gay is massively overpaid, but what good is cap for us anyways? Davis is my favourite Raptor, but the fact of the matter is he isn't ever going to be a ton more than he is now, and his value will never be higher. Not to mention re-signing him in a couple years, where he could easily wind up being overpaid like Amir. The deal is worth it to get rid of Jose. If it falls through, then I am convinced he is a Raptor for life. Can't wait to see Lowry actually get handed the keys, and not have to worry about looking over his shoulder all the time.
  16. yo 2 days ago I went 20-25 from 3 doing a mini 3 point contest and then yesterday I had to hit around 6 out of 7 in a game of 3 on 3 (seemed like a bunch in a row but I definitely missed one in there because I took a bad shot, Kobe type of contested 3). I'm normally a good 3 point shooter, its basically all I bring to the table, but lately its been like damn. what's the hottest you guys have ever been? I am far from a quality player, can't dribble for the life of me (which sucks since I have PG size lol), and obviously this is just pickup not organized ball, but I have been shooting the ball like a stud lately lol.
  17. Cleveland. possibly more than the minimum, and no pressure to win, and potential to grow there. In Miami, the scrutiny, the media, etc... it would just be so stressful for a guy who hasn't played in years, and might not be up to par. Not to mention the being close to home factor.
  18. You call Toronto and ask them if they are interested in a Ross+Calderon for Granger type of deal, after which, obviously Brian Colangelo ejaculates in his pants and offers to throw in Ed Davis too because he's such a nice guy. Seriously though, how fun is a George-Ross wing duo moving forward? Ross would slide in almost perfectly at the 2 as a potentially elite defender/shooter with top notch athleticism.
  19. C: Tyson Chandler PF: JJ Hickson SF: AK47 SG: Sefelosha PG: Rondo Coach: Thibs Curious to see how many games in which both teams would score under 80. Does this team make the playoffs?
  20. Considering their defense has been middle of the pack minus Bogut, is it safe to assume they would be top 10, nearing top 5, in defensive efficiency with him? Milwaukee was top 5 in points per possession in Bogut's last 2 healthy seasons. Its not really fair to say "if Bogut was healthy" though, since he hasn't been healthy for a while. Its sort of part of the package. http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/2747/andrew-bogut Look at that stat line in his return against Toronto though. Even if they can get Bogut for 25 minutes a night, this team is going to be a super tough out come playoffs.
  21. Bingo. What happens if Boston gets a top 10 pick, all of a sudden this team has a ton of flexibility. They can either start the rebuild, ask Pierce if he wants to go, KG too. Or, they can make another run at it by dealing that lottery pick for a middle aged, quality player (Josh Smith anyone?) to pair with Rondo as they make the transition. Going to be hard to tank with KG on your team though. Just not in his DNA.
  22. I honestly think Smith already has one foot out the door (look at that FT%, wow...), but is trying to be relatively pleasant because the Hawks have that extra year card in their hand. Then there is also the Dwight Howard factor - don't they think he could help lure Dwight? Atlanta kinda backed themselves into a corner when they moved JJ for peanuts, they are basically rebuilding now. There's no point giving a 28 year old Josh Smith a big fat deal if you are Atlanta. Atlanta needs to get rid of Smith more than Smith needs to get rid of Atlanta.
  23. Continue the process. They are doing things the right way in Charlotte right now. Kemba Walker is a baller. I've said it since day 1, people would look back and wonder why randoms like Bismack were going before the best player in college that year. Everyone is so hung up on physical attributes, but if you can play, you can play. Not saying he is going to be the best player from that draft, but the jump he has made from year 1 to 2 is definitely encouraging if you are a Bobcats fan, or just a Kemba fan like me. This McLemore guy seems like a stud from what i've read and his stats, so I would go with him too. That 1-2-3 is super young and has a ton of potential. I feel like the absolute worst thing you can do is rush things. I speak from experience with this team after we got first overall pick.
  24. I know Reimer's stats aren't gaudy but he has looked decent IMO.
