Exactly. You can not convince me GSW will give any valuable assets that are better than BK's offer without a commitment from Dwight. They will not kill any hope for their franchise for the next 5-10 years over one season with Howard.

He won't play for them. Why don't people seem to understand that the major reason he isn't being traded to LA or Golden State or wherever is because he will not sign an extension with any team besides the Brooklyn Nets..

How do you figure? I'd take the big three of BK over NY's big three. I'll concede that. But as a team, I think the Knicks are better constructed right now going into the season. To be totally honest though, there's major question marks from both teams...considering there's so many new players.

We are just as good as Brooklyn with Dwight if JR Smith resigns and Shumpert is healthy come playoff time. I'll take them on in a seven game series with both rosters equally healthy. Why not? Our supporting cast is better than theirs, and the big three is only slightly better than the Knicks big three (depending which Amar'e we get next year...I think with Lin and Kidd, we will get a pretty good one 20/8 on 50%FG I will take it). Amazing how much this roster has changed since LAST July. Just think about it. Only guys we had were Carmelo and Stoudemire, Shumpert out of 12 guys.

Camby is one of my all time favorites. It was my first ever jersey as a kid. Great news for me...possibly the greatest is that Toney Douglas was apart of this. Oh yeah, and I promise I'm done changing my avatar.

He's smooth as hell, good fundamental player, and he can score. I don't get it.

I'm going to say No and No. The Nets "big three" may be better than New York's, but the rest of their roster isn't. And definitely not with a healthy Shumpert (HOPEFULLY) by playoff time. I think Knicks and Heat are still better, as well as Chicago when Rose comes back healthy (although it may not be next season). Don't sleep on Indiana, either. They could beat that Nets team, too. I see the Nets anywhere from 3-4 in the Eastern Conference. Not saying they couldn't be in the ECF or NBA Finals, I just don't see it in season 1 with the players around them.

He's also a good rebounder for his position as well. And he is definitely an underrated defender...and we will need all the perimeter defending we can get with Shumpert out. I think Shumpert will be out a lot later than January...just like they said Baron Davis would be back late January last year, he didn't play until, what, March? I don't see Shumpert being back until February at the earliest, probably more like the beginning of March.

Great news on the Novak front. He's vital to the teams success. He wasn't a factor in the playoffs, but with a healthy Lin and Kidd, he will get great looks from 3. I think the extension is coming. He can't sign until July 11, right? If he can sign before than, I'm not sure what they are waiting for. I rather have JR than OJ Mayo. Just my opinion though.

We are kind of undersized, but with the athleticism we have at F I don't see that being a problem...

Because is Kidd expected to play 48 MPG? Lol. Lin for 28 MPG and Kidd 20 MPG would be perfect for us. He's 39...an injury is a good possibility, and his body can't play 30-40 MPG over 82 games plus the playoffs. Kidd is best suited at this point in a back up role. That's not to say he won't play important minutes. I think he will. I just think he's not a starter at this point. JMO though.

Where's Bosh? Is he injured? I think he's probably better than Blake Griffin. It's a nice team though for sure

Good signing for the Sixers, he'll help with some scoring from the backcourt. And with only a 1 year deal, if he doesn't work out, no big deal. Sixers still won't be a serious threat until they have that "one guy." The guy who can really close a game...Igoudala just isn't that dude

What youngsters? The only young player we have if Lin didn't resign is Shumpert. And Shumpert and Kidd are good options, yes, but Shumpert probably won't be 100% next year and definitely won't be back until January at the earliest. Knicks NEED Lin. That simple. A 39 year old Jason Kidd is not a ticket seller anyway. Lol. That's why we have flashy scorers like Amar'e & Carmelo.

The Kidd signing is OK. He is a good fit because he's a good passer, and will play a slower pace at this point in his career..which will fit the Knicks. They won't be a running team with D'Antoni gone, and they'll go to Melo and Amar'e on the block in iso-situations more I believe. Kidd is a decent three point shooter, and knows how to get guys to their spots. Not sure how much he has left, but 20 MPG and Lin getting the other 28, I have to think he should be a pretty good option off the bench...has to be an upgrade over Baron and Bibby last season.

Everyone here knows I hate the Lakers but it's different than the way the Heat did it. The Heat got together and talked about it all as Free Agents. The Lakers will have done by orchestrating trades, and other teams have allowed it to happen (MEM, PHX, and ORL)...So it's totally different than Miami's situation and LA deserves no flack. It's just called great general managing decision making is what you can call it.

Loved Felton when he was here the first time. Not sure how he'll be here now...he is a few years older, and seemed to be out of shape last year. Plus, his role will be changed. He would make an awesome backup to Lin though...I'm so sick of us getting FA's that are like 100 (Baron Davis, Mike Bibby, etc.)

Why would Bill Walker be any worse? What did Fields do that makes you think not any other NBA 2 guard can do that in 28 MPG. He averaged 8 PPG, 4 RPG, and shot 46% from the field and 25% from 3 point range. And you're telling me there are no 2 guards out there that can do that? Lol please

Smith played the most important minutes in the 4th quarter. It was obvious he had fallen out of favor with Mike Woodson, and rightfully so. He's a mediocre defender (he's slow, but has size), and cannot shoot from three, mid range, or from the foul line. He's good in transition and around the rim, but that isn't even the Knicks system anymore anyway. We know they are going to play slow and give the ball to Melo on the block, and go from there. He is of no fit and will be easily replaceable. There are many guys out there that can average 10 ppg and 5 rpg.
