Idon't get it...lol. Ian Eagle is a [expletive]ing retard

Bulls are still a really good team without Rose. Obviously, Rose, one of the best plyers in the league, makes them way better, but don't sleep on them without him. It's so hard to predict because if he's at 100% by then we'll see what happens. If he's playing, but playing hurt, like you think he is, than I agree with you, it could be one helluva series and the Knicks really stand a good chance.
-
Well said for the most part, but I think you're forgetting that Amar'e could be very rusty going into the series, and also the fact that Chicago has the home court. Knicks have been very good at home this entire season (especially under Woodson and a more gritty, defensive approach). But on the road this season, it's mostly been a disaster. I think the Knicks could steal one in Chi-Town, but Bulls are likely to get one back at the Garden, which gives the advantage back to the Bulls and I don't see the Knicks winning multiple road games in a series.

I don't see them beating either in a series, but I think they can take Chicago to six if they played great, and I think they will get swept by Miami. No bias, just my honest opinion. The Deng-LeBron argument has other factors though. Deng may be the better on-ball perimeter defender, but LeBron has Battier to come in and give Melo some tough D while LeBron rests by playing someone else, or rests on the bench. Also, Melo having to guard Deng or whoever at the other end of the floor is a lot easier than having the responsibility to play LeBron...Playing 48 minutes of playoff defense on LeBron and trying to score on LeBron at the end of games is far more difficult IMO than having Deng defend you the majority of the game and having to defend Deng the majority of the game. As for Amar'e coming back, Fish I like your idea of Amar'e off the bench, the bench could use some more scoring besides Novak's streaky (as of late) shooting, and JR Smith (extremely streaky shooting). But, at the end of the game, you're going to have Melo, Amar'e, and Chandler on the floor then. If they aren't used to having any cohesion on the court during the first 40 minutes, I don't see why in the last, say, 8 minutes of the game, they will be able to effectively score.
-
Lol. I realize that. It doesn't mean it will, though.
-
Yeah. But what about him playing the 4 instead of the 5? JVG on the broadcast has been talking about that, it's a good point. I think it's helped him a bit. He sometimes gets lost in transition and has easier matchups on defense sometimes, too. Also, more room to operate without Stoudemire.
-
I disagree. Melo's already torched Chicago this year, and he played pretty well at Chicago, too. Deng didn't defend Melo too well then, and LeBron is a better defensive player than Deng, anyway. Plus, they also have Battier who's a damn good perimeter defender to spell LeBron and keep him fresh for the end of the game. And the Heat have way too many scoring options. Shumpert guards Rose in a series, and I feel somewhat confident. If he guards Wade, Fields/Melo on LeBron, and Amar'e on Bosh? I like my chances with just the one major scoring threat. Also, I don't think Lin will be back for the playoffs. I really don't think they'll bring him back if he doesn't play the remainder of the regular season (and from what I hear, he's done for the reg. season)... Yeah...Lin would never guard Rose in a playoff series. A mix of JR and Shump on Rose wouldn't be bad. Rose is obviously a terrific player so he's going to score still, but I don't think he'd absolutely kill us. And Jeffries did not play well today. I think he's still feeling effects from that knee injury. He was brutal on the boards.

Most of the 3 pt attempts came as the game started to get out of hand, though. And the 3 pt attempts were good shots. No one made that comment when Melo hit the two against Chicago last Sunday, lol. Knicks aren't on the level of the Heat, so to beat them would be a bonus. I expect a good game vs. Boston Tuesday, should be fun. And I expect the Knicks to take care of business down the stretch and end up in either the 7th or 8th spot (most likely, and preferably, the 8th spot!)
-
He went cold. Exactly. None of that had to do with LeBron's defense. Melo missed the same shots in the final quarter that he had been hitting all game. I think the big contributor to that was the fact he had to guard LeBron, which took a lot out of him. Hard to do it all, since Carmelo gets so little support from the rest of this team. Baron Davis single-handily cost us a chance to steal a win in the final 10 minutes. He was [expletive]ing horrible. Turning it over, playing absolutely no defense, and his reluctance to shoot means the opponent doesn't even have to guard him. Knicks stand no chance to even win a game in a playoff series versus Miami with this current lineup though. It will be a sweep. Why? Because the Heat have way too many scoring options, and the Knicks have way too few. Carmelo had, what, 42 today, and that's still not enough. I much rather have the Knicks play Chicago, have Shumpert play Rose, and even if they kill us on the boards, oh well, we'll do our best. Not like we outrebound Miami, either.

Yeah man. I was thinking that. I don't think N.K. is as dangerous as some people make them. Although I'm not a U.S. gov't official or anything. Lol

I agree with most of what you said, actually. I just disagree with the racial profiling. Maybe it's that society has brainwashed us to think that the black person is more suspicious? I don't really see how either is more likely to break in than the other. Trayvon Martin wasn't doing anything wrong from the information I gathered in the case. Why Zimmerman came after him remains a mystery to me...

Amar'e having MRI for possible back injury
JYD replied to NomarFachix's topic in New York Knicks Team Forum
As far as I know, he hurt his back in last year's playoffs. The back was never an issue prior (from my knowledge)... I think injuries are definitely a concern for Amar'e. Now with the back injury to go with the major eye injury he had that forces him to wear the glasses, as well as the knee surgeries. -

Hmm...It seems like he's coming back quickly, although when they show him doing drills and practicing he does look like he's in good shape. Amar'e works real hard, everyone knows that, so I'd be surprised if he doesn't come back and play well. -
I expect him to get some playing time, at least listening to Pierre McGuire on The Mike Francesa Show the other day. I'm pretty pumped for the game. I ply in a basketball league 6-8:30 so I 'll probably miss the first period and a half. hopefully it's still close by then. :glasses:

Yes, Blacks had a major influence over his arrest. But I'd say most WHITES thought Zimmerman should be charged, too. And blacks band together in unity such as this to stop acts of Racism. If you cannot admit race had to do with this situation/case, you are not worthy of an intelligent debate.
