Blake Griffin, and the Dunk Contest?
Newman replied to Purple&Gold's topic in General NBA Discussion
^Exactly, which means the Slam Dunk contest is not going to get any better than it's current state because the best in-game dunkers can't dunk in the contest and the best known dunkers of the game aren't willing to throw their name into the hat, which I don't blame them for. After years of MJ to Spud Webb to VC to Dwight, it's hard to think of anything new now. -
Miller might have gotten them 2 to 3 more wins and there would be a lot less pressure on the Super 3 to perform. But as RD said, the weak defense against inside players and PGs are also costing them games and Miller can't fix them.

Seriously, what's wrong with D-Wade. His injury still bugging him or something else?
-
^I understand, but these 2 seem like the most probable departures if there is going to be a trade.
-
Maybe a small trade possibly involving Anthony Parker as I thought he did a good job last year helping out the King's quest or maybe Daniel Gibson for those teams that lack that shooter.

Nuggets Want Lopez In Anthony Deal?
Newman replied to The Regime's topic in Denver Nuggets Team Forum
^Trio. Interesting point as well my friend because the Hornets pretty much made that trade so they would be under the luxury tax thershold so they can actually trade for another star around Feb with Ariza and maybe West as bait. If that fails, Banks' and Green's contract come off the cap so that's another 8m gone and the Hornets can be a player in the FA market so maybe CP3 and Melo will form a duo in the Big Easy. -
Blake Griffin, and the Dunk Contest?
Newman replied to Purple&Gold's topic in General NBA Discussion
If he can't get it right in the Dunk Contest and since Shannon Brown couldn't do as well last year, they might as well abolish the Slam Dunk Contest unless LeBron/D-Wade/Kobe wants to hop in and save the day. -
Good to see the Bulls getting some love. :)

Lakers to get a big this week
Newman replied to magicbalala245's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Jake Voskuhl is not a bad 3rd/4th string C, but I haven't seen him in a while so it's hard to determine what he can do now. To be honest, I thought he retired. -
^ Just out of interest, how many players are you doing this for?

Nuggets Want Lopez In Anthony Deal?
Newman replied to The Regime's topic in Denver Nuggets Team Forum
^ They still have Favors if Brook Lopez is gone. -
Chris Paul, he is Jason Kidd in his prime.

ESPN really digs the Heat.

Defense-first coach are hard to come by. and Tom is certainly one of the best in the league right now. I don't see any flaws with him at the moment besides the fact that he sometimes play Scal I am not sure whether Boozer will fit into the system though.

He certainly is the difference between winning or losing for the Knicks. He brings that something extra that changes the outcome of the game for the Knicks. I mean, Amare, you know what he's going to give you and then what give the Knicks the W's is their other players and besides Felton, there really isn't any consistent performers (I don't watch Knicks's game, so feel free to correct me). Fields, Chandler, Gallo and even Anthony Randolph, they are all guys that can change the outcome of the game.

Griffin's 44-15 puts him among the elite
Newman replied to Real Deal's topic in Los Angeles Clippers Team Forum
I just changed my mind about who is going to be ROY due to this performance. -
If the basketballs were heavier, then there would be less 3's taken and everyone would probably just drive to the rim.
-
He is one of those "old-school" players that someone mentioned in another thread...if he gets his shooting right, he is almost as complete of a player as you are going to get.

Holy god, that dunk was sick!

Peja, Bayless to TOR for Jack, Andersen, Banks

This trade is officially official by the way: Source -
Good to see Royal Ivey getting some PT, he is a very good defender.
-
Wow Eddie House. 6 3-pointers.

I loved this game because Felton, Amare and Monta are all in one or more of my fantasy basketball teams.

Rambis: D-League Would Be 'Beneficial' To Flynn
Newman replied to Sun Tzu's topic in Minnesota Timberwolves Team Forum
Telfair has done a good job and him and Ridnour should be able to hold the fort till Flynn comes back. -
He is playing better than some 28 or even 25 year olds in the NBA, so I don't see why he can't go for 1 or 2 more seasons. It's not like he already played like 15 seasons of 82 games anyway.
