I guess winning championships and showing up in clutch moments i.e. guys like Robert Horry gain you recognition and reputation and the opinion of the public towards the players that won change dramatically. I don't really remember players that lose in the Finals as to me, you can only be one of the 12 winners in the playoffs or a loser like the players in the other 14 teams. I may be judging harshly, but my opinion towards those that have fallen in the playoffs is the same, no matter whether you lost in the first round or in the Finals.

Derrick Rose. Rondo is a great defensive PG, no doubt. But Rose is a dominant PG. My mind may be filled with Rondo's highlights in recent weeks, but I still believe that Rose is a better PG overall at this moment.
