Broussard: Houston might hang onto T-Mac?
Newman replied to Dash's topic in Houston Rockets Team Forum
I don't think the Rockets are going to let Lowry and/or Hayes leave either UNLESS they know they're going to get a star free agent. -
Rockets, Knicks, Wizards Discussing Three-Way Deal
Newman replied to MainEv3nt's topic in General NBA Discussion
That's a terrible trade to the Knicks and the Wiz but all they care is cap-room I guess. If that trade succeeds, the Rockets are definitely a top 6 seed in the West, maybe even higher. -
Yeah, not only are they coming to the game despite the extremely poor conditions, but for a team that's really sucking right now.

ChosenOne summed it up. T-Mac would demand the ball most of the times so Jameer may well be sitting on the bench in favor of a pass-first PG while Dwight would not be able to be as dominate as he is now.

Any time you get Nazr Mohammed dropping 20-20 on you you know you got problems.

Yeah it's most definitely the mindset. When Kobe stand up and take care of business the others can, more or less, slack a bit but when he is not there, others need to pick their game up and Odom is clearly doing that.

I only know Shannon Brown has the statue of liberty dunk. Can anyone enlighten me to see his other dunks?

Nuggets Nearly Landed Deron In 2005
Newman replied to The Regime's topic in Denver Nuggets Team Forum
Wouldn't have made much of a difference as the Nuggets would probably have traded Andre Miller to get him. Instead they used Miller to trade for Iverson, which turned into Billups. Overall, not a big loss. -
I believe that Kaman got robbed off the back-up C spot so I have no problem with this but now that the West only have Kobe as their true SG...would've liked to see Monta come in as well.

T-Mac would love Philly but Philly would not love him.

Nets No Longer Consider CDR A Core Player
Newman replied to The Regime's topic in Brooklyn Nets Team Forum
Apparently the Nets want to keep him now, which is a shame. He could be the X-Factor for a strong team like Jamal Crawford. All he's going to do now is rot in New Jersey. -
I guess the Bucks want to cash in on Ridnour since he is playing great at the moment, I don't believe anyone will bite though until trade deadline day. Warrick could be attractive to some teams because he's got an expiring contract and that he is an athletic big man that still has some untapped potential. I see the likes of Spurs or the Mavs making a push for him.

What should the Celtics do with Allen?
Newman replied to SRT Spidey's topic in Boston Celtics Team Forum
Keep him. He's still a good shooter no matter what and the Celtics need more of those players, not less. -
Celtics and Bobcats discussing Augustin-Big Baby deal?
Newman replied to Dash's topic in Boston Celtics Team Forum
I don't like it. I don't feel that Big Baby will fit with Charlotte nor will Augustin with the Celtics. That said, the Celtics will still benefit the most out of this trade because they can finally get a normal back-up PG. -
If the whole jersey was the green then I would love it but since it's not, it's so-so IMO.

He is no Rod Thorn, but I don't think he will be stupid enough to trade Iguodala without including the big fat contract of Elton Brand or some other scrub.

Chris Paul Needs Surgery; Could Miss 1-2 Months
Newman replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in New Orleans Pelicans Team Forum
Lucky for Hornets' fans, Collison is no scrub. Otherwise the Hornets would be an absolute disaster right now. -
Raja Bell is out for the season I believe so he is out of the picture. Milwaukee is a relatively small city comparing to the rest of the NBA teams and I just can't see star players joining them. Not only that, the Bucks doesn't really have any tempting trading chips avaliable to make deals. I personally love Outlaw and I think that he can put up Ariza numbers if he join a team which gives him freedom to attack. I expect the Bucks to use the draft to get a young SG or promote Meeks if Redd never comes back, so let's see whether they can get a good SF now to complement Jennings + Bogut.

Jason Thompson is 6'11 so why would they trade a PF who can play center that is averaging 13 points and 8 rebounds for a center who might not be even able to produce half of that? I know Kenny Thomas is going to be thrown into this deal as well if it happens, but I don't think Chandler, who is the best of the bunch of centers Bobcats have, is worth it for a future cornerstone and an expiring contract.

From BBC Sport. This is just ridiculous. The decision is understandable if it's to protect Togo from being attacked again, but fining them is just plain ridiculous.

He is no Ben Gordon, but he'll help.

Suns and Cavs talking Stoudemire trade
Newman replied to The Regime's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
If this happen then it's game over for the rest of the league.
