  1. Lol he was there for football 100%. They probably did not even look at his high school grades. Read some more of his tweets and you'll see what I mean.
  2. DeSean Jackson's tweets are so entertaining. Clearly he benefitted from that Cal education...
  3. Okay that's fine, you didn't say "LMAO OWNED" just like I never posted a picture of Tony Romo in whatever situation you may be describing. And the Eagles got raped in every facet of the game today, you do not need to inform me of this. I have not been this pissed off over an Eagles game in a long time. I am just pointing out that the definition of "baiting" seems to fluctuate. Depending on the team that got "owned" and who posts that they were "owned", we seem to get different responses from those in power.
  4. Did I say a word about Diesel? No, I don't believe I did. But posting "LMAO OWNED" after a team loses has been defined as "baiting" around here in the past, and for some reason you get a super long leash.
  5. Well you clearly haven't been around here too long, then.
  6. It's also amusing that if the score had been reversed and it was me and Fly3rs talking [expletive], we'd have mods up our rear ends about baiting but as usual you two get to post whatever is on your mind. But that's neither here nor there. Hopefully the Eagles won't take an entire 3 quarters to realize what they are doing wrong next week.
  7. The dignity of Philadelphia on this day rests on the shoulders of the Sixers.
  8. Alright almost game time. Should be good.
  9. http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/assets/eagles_intro_week16.swf Greatest thing the Eagles have ever made.
  10. Eh, not really a surprise. The A's were great in the early part of the decade, pretty much up through '06. Also the Tigers were absolutely horrible until 2006. Remember they almost set the single season loss record in 2003.
  11. C Mike Lieberthal 1B Ryan Howard 2B Chase Utley 3B Scott Rolen SS Jimmy Rollins LF Pat Burrell CF Shane Victorino RF Bobby Abreu SP Cole Hamels SP Curt Schilling SP Cliff Lee SP Randy Wolf SP Kevin Millwood Closer: Brad Lidge For the starting rotation the top 3 are obvious, the bottom 2 could have gone to any of a variety of guys but those were just the 2 I picked. Also I have Jayson Werth as the 4th outfielder.
  12. Haha. Well I was thinking about it, and other than Pat Burrell he is the best outfielder this system has produced in 20 years probably.
  13. Bernie Parent or Pelle Lindbergh. Believe it or not, Ray Emery is the most talented goaltender this team has had in 15 years. That is saying something. I think he can be solid for a while if they keep him here, but it'd be nice to have a young top flight goalie to build around. Obviously everybody knows what Parent did, and I honestly think Lindbergh was heading for a similar career had he not died so young. Bobby Clarke is an obvious choice too, since this team could have used a nice dose of his leadership to lift them out of that rut they were just in. Or maybe a big bruising d-man, Ed Van Impe maybe. Although his mold of defenseman is getting phased out of the game. I dunno, tough question. I'd probably go Parent but there you have a bunch of choices!
  14. I really thought today's game was very entertaining. The NHL probably sides with you since they think the only way to lure fans is to have 6-5 games and to bring in gimmicks such as the shoot out. But for me personally I thought today was a lot of fun to watch (well besides the end result of course).
  15. I heard the jerseys the Flyers wore today will be their permanent road jerseys next year, and they are getting rid of the current road jerseys and the black altogether. Not sure what I think of that. I have always been a fan of the black ones (lol that sounded wrong).
  16. Kind of a scary thought that weapons can find their way into these venues., for all the security checks they make fans go through before getting into the buildings.
  17. Both teams got away with a lot, the refs were letting them play which I enjoyed. That is why I take issue with the chicken-[expletive] Carcillo hooking call and the Timonen trip. Both would be incredibly weak under any circumstances, much less the circumstances the refs laid out which basically allowed the players to get away with anything. And then to miss a too many men call which led to the game winning goal was just inexcusable on the officials part. The Flyers players all seemed pretty upset about it but they were also in pretty good spirits considering how cool the event was. I have a feeling this would be a bigger issue if this were any other game. Also, I know everybody was saying how good the ice was but you could tell a lot of the players were uncomfortable. There was a lot of sloppy passing and it turned into a somewhat sloppy game, but overall I thought it was pretty entertaining. Just wish it could have ended under better circumstances.
  18. Yeah well either way they still have pretty much no chance. I thought Matt Carle might have had a shot but I am just as happy that he'll get a couple weeks off. I am excited to see Canada vs. Russia.
  19. I just glanced over the roster, I'll look into it a bit more later. Glad Bobby Ryan made it!
  20. I thought the Carcillo "hook" on Recchi was incredibly weak as well. Not to mention that the Bruins had 5 men on the ice when the game winner was scored.
  21. Eh, at least it's only one regular season game and the Flyers still get a point, but there were some awful calls (and non-calls) that contributed to the Bruins winning that game. Also as cool as that was I am glad they only do this once a year. That ice looked like it was very difficult to play on, and everybody says that the ice was way better than it usually is for outdoor games. Oh well.
