Oh yeah so we signed Delmon Young yesterday. RAJs philosophy of adding players who cannot get on base or play defense continues! The team OBP will be staggeringly low next season, if I had to guess. If he takes ABs from Dom Brown, that will just be the icing on the cake!

I am super excited (although I know Smitty won't be ). . I'm not sure I really buy the "his system worked in college but won't work in the NFL" argument right now, to be honest. It may be true but there is no way to know right now. Se seems like he is very good at adapting and thinking on his feet (something our last coach wasn't exactly good at), which makes me optimistic that he'll be able to transition well into the NFL. We'll see. Also, I'm sure he is very familiar with Nick Foles, since he coached against him in the Pac 12. Makes me excited that he's willing to work with him (or so it seems).

Foster deal official. One year. I dig it. Also, Brian Boucher coming back (AHL depth) along with a somewhat intriguing D prospect (Mark Alt) in exchange for Luke Pither. I dig this as well.

Kurtis Foster reportedly will sign as soon as the CBA is official. Sure, why not. Can't be a worse option for the 3rd pairing than Bruno Gervais/Andreas Lilja, even if he isn't half the player he used to be.

There is so much bickering amongst the writers who get to vote, so no, not surprised at all.75% of the vote is required to get in, and since there is so much disagreement I had a feeling nobody would get to that number While I personally would vote for them all (Bonds, Clemems, etc) I can understand why some don't want those guys in. Absolutely no excuse for keeping out Bagwell, Biggio, Piazza, and Raines though. So sad. But for a museum that honors known racists and criminals already, they should honestly all be in.
