Yes. And steroids are much less of an injustice to the game than racial segregation was. The white players from the first half of the 20th century had a much bigger competitive advantage because of all the awesome black and Latino players who were not allowed to play in the Majors. Also sucks because I guarantee you that a lot of these writers who think they are doing the game a service by keeping steroid guys out are the same ones who were fellating Bonds and McGwire and Sosa in their writing 15 years ago instead of bringing attention to the steroid issue sooner. Hypocrites.

The hot rumor is that Scott Laughton (our first rounder last summer) has a very good shot of making the Flyers out of camp this week. He has supposedly looked great in Oshawa and many in the front office think he is NHL ready. Personally I wouldn't, just because I think it is silly to burn a year of his entry-level contract in a shortened season, but I understand why the Flyers are thinking about it, having lost JvR and Jagr and not doing much to replace them.

Why couldn't ND just lose to USC and spare us from this shit? So predictable.

Toronto fans...I am looking forward to seeing how the Schenn/JvR trade works out. We should keep a running log on here of our opinions/thoughts/whatever. My first thought, without having seen either of them play for their new teams, is that I strongly dislike the trade on the Flyers end. Hopefully Schenn proves me wrong! We will need big, big minutes out of him this season.

It's 2013 now But yes, can't wait for this to get started. Some time between January 15th and 19th, supposedly. I heard rumors that if they start on the 19th (a Saturday), there would be almost a full slate of games with lots of rivalry matchups. That would be fun.

Well, I wouldn't say "only" one. Mike McCoy intrigues me also, but I think he may be a bit overblown because of the success he's had with Peyton this year. However, last year he was able to make an offense with Tim Tebow at QB work, which I find super impressive. All of the other guys I have seen mentioned seem so meh to me. Especially Bill O'Brien. The O'Brien love is, I am sure, spurred on by all of the Penn State homers in the Philly area, but his resume is not particularly impressive to me.

I have never been to a Giants game. But the few Eagles games I have attended were collections of the most homophobic, racist people I could imagine being in one place. Not worth the money. (See? I take shots at Philadelphia fans, as defensive as you may be). Much more enjoyable to watch from home. Plus I disagree with almost all mainstream sports analysis.
