  1. Terrible trade for the Nuggets. Martin is a great player to have but I'm sure they would rather have the Knicks picks and our youngins.
  2. I guess he REALLY wants a new contract before the new CBA.
  3. I clicked on this thread so I could check up on how the Comets are doing and it took a minute to realize they folded. -_- Anyways I might just catch the Mercury games solely because I want to see how Taurasi does. Guess I'll give it a chance but the last time I did was during last year's playoffs and it was painful to watch.
  4. Yeah I know some people who have all their classes in just two days and get out of school before I do. The rest of the week is all theirs. So [expletive]ing lucky.
  5. Yeah it was a typo I meant 1pm. And jesus your description of a math class has me scared, I can barely go through 10 minutes of a teacher constantly talking about it.
  6. My schedule is so [expletive]ing horrible. Tuesday/Thursday 1:40-2:55 pm 6:00-8:10 pm Monday/Wednesday 10:00-10:55 am 1:00-2:20 pm Friday 10:00-10:55 am Worst. Schedule. Ever.
  7. NBA > NFL > FIFA > college football > college basketball > MLS > rest As far as playoffs and international competition goes: World Cup > NBA playoffs > NFL playoffs > Champions league > NCAAF tourney > March Madness > FIBA
  8. Strange that he doesn't mention the Magic/Knicks/Bulls. I can see Melo going to the Clippers but the Warriors? wth
  9. I would agree with you as I don't believe that a big three of players that need the ball in their hands to be efficient will work (speaking from experience with when Ron was here), but ever since coming to Houston, Martin has needed the ball less and less and became a more productive player while doing it. Its Adelman's system at its finest. Kevin is not only the perfect fit for the team but he fits in the system beautifully. I'm not saying that I'm positive that it will work because you are right, there are uncertainties with Yao and whether or not Melo can fit into a complex system could make this another Houston star duo failure. We may trade a bulk of our depth but we're still a strong team and while we won't win the championship this year, Melo knows that Morey will be able to surround him with the talent he needs. Something to consider: most of Morey's recent trades have been with multiple teams so that he can keep an extra asset or two, maybe the same thing can apply with a Melo trade. Also if the Knicks are stuck in the bottom 10 of the NBA standings then that could mean Houston may get to keep a core player. Too many factors at play here but I'm confident that Morey makes the right move.
  10. I just got my schedule and classes...its so bad and I'm pretty sure my teachers are even worse.
  11. Workout video of Yao. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQOu6agcJMA Looking good.
  12. True, we have some decent trade exceptions that could net us a solid backup from a team looking for cap relief.
  13. Yeah but the probably would be, who will be our backup point guard? There is no way Ish Smith can play big minutes, I've heard that Lee can play some point guard but not sure if that is a good fit for him.
  14. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5493423 Great news! The big fella is back.
  15. I agree with you on Yao, it all depends on his health but the reports this summer have been optimistic. I'm willing to bet that we trade Brooks before Martin, Kevin just seems to be the perfect compliment next to Yao and Melo.
  16. ^But what would Orlando be left with after a trade with Denver? Melo has a lot of say on where he goes but he's not in full control. We have the young players and picks that should leave us with enough pieces to contend for a championship with Melo. Honestly though the reason I think why Melo wants to play here is Daryl Morey, he knows he can surround him with talent and his performance at the trade deadline proved just that.
  17. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=AuJTAOMNcKewlle1IUn2Eaq8vLYF?slug=aw-anthonykroenke082410 [expletive] just got real.
  18. 2008 Celtics, sweet Jesus when I saw the opponent FG% I couldn't believe it.
  19. That is because one of the forums you post at just hit the web a few weeks ago. Discussion over there is fresh and plenty to talk about because of no previous posting, but for example, active topics like "Hakeem vs Shaq" and a listing of the top 10 NBA players have been debated to death over here. Anyways I know you mean well but OTR has gone through 5 years of this dreadful offseason so believe us when we say that there is nothing to worry about. As far as general posting goes, we should see a bump soon with the NFL season and World Championships just weeks away and the MLB season heating up.
  20. College entrance, I think I did decent but if anything screwed me up it was the damn essay. If I fail I'll have to skip this entire semester. -_-
  21. If the Nets offer Derrick Favors in any trade then that easily trumps anything the Magic/Knicks/Rockets can offer.
