Usually I love Martin Lawrence, and this was rated pretty good some places I looked, but I just didn't find it that funny at all really. Wasn't horrible, it wasn't even really bad, just didn't think it was good, kind of disappointed.

WHAT!? Your crazy this is one of the best comedies ever  Martin Lawrence and Dave Chappelle ftw

Hahaha ya I gotta admit Blue Streak is one of my favorite comedies, it's so quotable and the Martin/Chappelle combo had me laughing the entire movie.

It's not rated very high critically but it's one of those comedies I have repeated multiple times.

Tulley: I'll rip your lips off, and kiss my [expletive] with them [expletive]s. I'll rip your tongue out, and lick my balls with it.

Only Chappelle can make that quote hilarious lol.

Today I watched Uncle Buck.

Okay so it certainly not as good as other movies with John Candy like PTA or Splash, but I'm still gonna give it a 8/10 nonetheless. This because of Candy of course, who's always great, even his less good movies are worth to watch because of him. And it's still quite good anyhow, very enjoyable movie, I had a very good time watching it indeed.

It's weird because normally I absolutely love Martin Lawrence, I was pretty tired the night I watched it though so that might be why.

Anyways I watched the Black Swan last night, movie was kinda crazy, was not what I was expecting lol. Good enough movie though probably 8/10 from me.

Haha I still recite this quote when I'm talking fake trash to people, like just playing around.

This is probably my favorite John Candy movie tbh, beyond hilarious and it actually reaches you emotionally too.

Haven't seen this one yet. I really am not a fan of Keanu Reeves but this does seem different and worth a shot.

Last one I saw was A Fish Called Wanda 8/10

Really funny movie, the best role from Kevin Kline I have ever seen he won an Oscar for this one and really deserved it.

Well yeah it is a very good one indeed, as I said I liked it a lot. But I just prefer PTA. Besides it reaches you emotionally too, I mean it's a nice friendship story. And it's even funnier IMO.

But I have no problem with you liking Uncle Buck more of course, both movies are good, and as I said many times movies are first of all a matter of taste anyhow. And we sure don't have all the same tastes. Fortunately haha.

It's about time you watch it pinhead ! I told you about this movie... I don't know at least one year ago ? :D

Well anyhow glad you liked it, one of my favorite comedies. And yeah Kevin Kline's performance is great, my favorite movie of him for sure. He's just hilarious in that movie. Just like the great John Cleese and Michael Palin, two former Monty Python.

Lol ya it was really funny.

BTW I found this other movie on NetFlix called Fierce Creatures

Have you ever seen it?? I haven't yet but it's got the same cast and from what I read it really has nothing to do with A Fish Called Wanda, but still probably pretty funny with that group.

^Haha yeah I know about that one, I saw it quite some time ago... And yeah it has nothing to do with Wanda. I need to rewatch it though cause I don't clearly remember about it. But I remember that I was disappointed. Wanda is by far better.

By the way here are some of my favorite Wanda scenes :

Yeah another Candy movie but I don't know why I feel like watching Candy movies right now haha. Well anyhow it was not as funny as PTA and Uncle Buck IMO but still very funny. Besides Candy and Aykroyd are among my favorite actors so I will give it a 8/10.

Double fail.

Elaborate...why because I didn't think Fight Club was amazing? I thought the directing was great and the acting of Pitt and Norton (more so Norton) was even better, but the I think the movie would have been better without the twist tbh, altho I like it more at first, as I rewatched it I liked it less. Still 8/10 is a good grade.

^ Few cameos by NBA players right? I think I remember Dwight showing up in it.

Yup, Dwight, Rashard Lewis, Bobby Simmons (as probably his only appearance this/last season as a Net), Wade, Rondo, Elton Brand all had cameos. Dwight appeared in 3 scenes which was more than others and all he did was be himself.

7.5/10

Pretty good, tough a great movie with just 1 actor but this found a way to keep you entertained for an hour and a half and keep you wanting more. I would have liked to see more at the end, but what you get is what you get, great story.

Today I watched True Grit. It was released today in France and I came back from the theater a couple of hours ago.

http://www.swiss-dvd.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/True-Grit-laffiche.jpg

A bit different from the Coens other movies, it was more "mainstream", but they already did other mainstream movies in the past like The Hudsucker Proxy, Intolerable Cruelty or O Brother. So it's not my favorite Coen movie but not my less favorite at the same time (I love all of their movies anyway, definitely my favorite filmmakers). Even if it was more "mainstream" it was very good nonetheless, I had a great time watching it. Jeff Bridges is just hilarious in it. And all the actors are great. It makes me wanna see the original version with John Wayne, that I have not seen yet..

I'd say that my very favorite Coen movies are Barton Fink, Blood Simple, Fargo, No Country For Old Men and The Big Lebowski. True Grit is not in that first tier but is definitely in the second tier : Miller's Crosing, Raising Arizona, Ladykillers, True Grit, The Man Who Wasn't There, Burn After Reading, A Serious Man and O Brother Where Art Thou ?. The third tier is : Intolerable Cruelty and The Hudsucker Proxy. The two Coen movies that I enjoyed the less but still very enjoyable nonetheless. Again I love all their movies.

Well anyway it was once again a very good movie, I'm never disappointed with the Coens, I give it a 9/10. Can't wait for the next Coen movie !
