  1. Gasol looked old to me at times last season when I watched LA. Bynum is an absolute baby with his personality and attitude (although Howard's not better I guess). I think Dwight in the environment with Nash and Bryant would be good for him and he'd go right to work.
  2. I'd ship Gasol and Bynum to ORL for Howard ASAP if I could.
  3. It's not that. I mean, I thought there was a good chance he ended up somewhere other than NY... I just didn't want/expect it to be with LA. We stalled too long on the Shumpert move, and it may end up costing us big time. Then again, it may not. It just sucks Shumpert won't be back much of next year...
  4. <_< [expletive] u ! edit: changed it. i'm livid.
  5. His MPG in that 18-6 stretch under Woodson were limited.
  6. Just read it...wow. Knicks really missed out.
  7. McGee is actually pretty nasty. He still has time to develop his game. I was impressed with him in the playoffs versus LAL.
  8. I'm assuming they'd back out if they miss out on Nash. Still have a feeling Nash will end up in Toronto.
  9. James White? I read about him, and from what I read, his game resembles Shumpert...which kind of leads me to believe Knicks are leaning towards the S&T. And Landry is easily replaceable, lol.
  10. I could do without Hill, Camby has far more value to this team IMO. Agree with rest. :glasses: Just realized...I'm going to be extremely disappointed if none of that happens, lol.
  11. If you do give up Shumpert, Smith and Novak become necessities for two major reasons. A. Nash penetrate and kick to Novak in the corner would be lethal...oh the thoughts of that. B. Smith would be our best perimeter defender. Without Shumpert, Smith becomes an extremely valuable defensive player and rebounding guard.
  12. It's tough man. First off, Shumpert is coming off of an injury. A pretty major knee injury. With a game that's built off explosiveness, and quick feet on the defensive end, it's hard to say it's not at least a thought he may not come back the same player. I say it's about an 80% chance he recovers fine and this knee injury doesn't effect him in the long haul - but you never know...it could be the beginning of an injury riddled career (always have to put that into consideration albeit it's not likely)... Secondly, the Knicks have are now in a win now mentality. They've commited to a base of Amar'e, Chandler, and Carmelo Anthony. We've already seen that is not going to win a championship. They need a competent PG to complete the puzzle. Does it have to be Nash? No, it doesn't. Lin could eventually develop into that player, but that is a major risk as well, because it's tough to say how well he blends, or hell, how good he will even be... The Knicks are in a three year window presumably with this trio of Amar'e, Chandler and Melo. I'd say Nash has two years (max IMO) of playing at the top of his game, assuming he stays healthy. I believe that's about the window the Knicks have at this point to be a serious threat to win a championship. Now, the problem with Nash for the Knicks is, how will he mesh with Carmelo? Will he stay healthy at 38? And, will his defensive liabilities (combined with Amar'e, and even Carmelo Anthony), be able to be overcome by Chandler in the middle? I'm split on the deal. Nash is one of my all time favorite players, always has been. I've never been a big LeBron fan. Never liked Kobe. Never liked Michael. My favorite stars have always been PG's, the Nash's, the CP3's, etc. So I'm a bit biased towards going ahead with the deal at this point, just to see one of my all time favorites in a Knicks uniform. Is it a stupid deal to give up Shumpert? Most likely. I think he has the potential to be an all-star player for sure. At least on the level of a Shawn Marion in his prime. In sum, I'm pretty much split down the middle. I will be shocked if it actually happened, because I'm not sure the Knicks are willing to give up Shumpert as much as the media is saying. We will have to wait and see.
  13. All of that was interesting for sure. Nash move including Shumpert is a major risk...Knicks would be a pretty horrible defensive team without Shumpert, and especially with Nash and Lin in the backcourt. I'm assuming they'd play those two a lot of times together, especially if Lin is as good as last season (and let's not forget Lin is a scoring PG, and was a 2 guard in College)... Also, how would Nash blend with Melo? I think Amar'e would be a seamless tranisition (we already know how they played together for years in PHX) and Chandler should be no issue. What about Carmelo Anthony? Needs the ball in his hands to play his game, as we saw the last month of the season under Woodson. With Nash dominating the ball, where does that put Carmelo Anthony? It's a legitimate question IMO. Small sidenote question...is Novak coming back? What about JR Smith? What is their status? I hear nothing about them anymore...
  14. blah....... They probably can't afford him....
  15. Great for BK. They are looking good man!
  16. Ain't that the truth. Re-Naldo Balk-man.
  17. I don't think it's worth it...no. But it's not up to me. It's up to James Dolan...
  18. Not only that, but what does Nash do for Toronto? I know he is a great player, is Candian and people love him there, but he's not going to win you games. That roster is no good. He's not a serious person to build around, he's 38 years old. I guess it's all about selling seats. -_-
  19. Makes sense for both sides. Nets instantly become contender (assuming Williams signs on) and Magic get some value in return as well as picks (Love Brooks, Humphries/Lopez can be useful)
  20. It's 2 years / 12 million. It's not 2 years / 6 million like the title suggests lol
  21. Yeah. Basically. Our hope for Nash is all but over. Unless a trade involves Shump. If they are willing to trade Shumpert, I think Nash is a Knick...
  22. LOL. Good Bye Landry! He's a cool dude, great personality, but he is just not a good NBA player.
  23. Lol. Jerome Jordan has basically zero upside...and Landry Fields will flourish no where. 30% from the 3 pt range, and 59% from the foul line as a 2 guard?  Grant Hill is like 40, and what role does he even play if we Melo/Fields/Smith/Novak/Jeffries Man...you know, if Lin didn't sign and Nash didn't either, and with Shumpert on the shelf, the Knicks will be really brutal to watch next year.
