Lin out for entirety of Heat series
JYD replied to NomarFachix's topic in New York Knicks Team Forum
I don't love it, but it does bring some advantages. It's a great rebounding lineup, and it's a good defensive lineup as well. Not much playmaking and ball movement though, which can lead to the stagnation which we've come to see in this series. Also, if JR is cold, it can be brutal to watch as far as shooting goes. They deny Melo the ball, and give JR and Fields shots that don't go in... I fully expect Bibby to play quite a bit if the game is close. Bibby was pretty good the other day, and they really don't guard him, so he can get some open looks. -
Yeah, let's be honest, no one thinks the Knicks will win game 5 and force a game 6. Lol

Lin out for entirety of Heat series
JYD replied to NomarFachix's topic in New York Knicks Team Forum
I think it's a good thing. For Lin's confidence and his health. And probably for the Knicks as a team, too. I'd play Bibby 25-30 minutes (assuming it's close) and give TD23 some action late 1st/early 2nd and see if he brings anything to the table. Going with a Smith/Fields/Melo/Amare/Chandler lineup is always plausible too. -
He's not making a difference anyway. he hasn't played basketball in like two months

this series is overrrr

Oh yeah, well, you're completely right. Basically, the crux of what you are saying is there is a tremendous amount of luck in hockey, which I've stated on here several times. More luck in hockey then any other sport I watch. The deflections, bouncing pucks, crossbars, posts, etc. Lol.

GOOD music puts out a lot less music. I expect it to be a quality album, and from a musical standpoint, GOOD is still far more talented with Kanye & John Legend headlining the team.

They've been very fortunate of late, but In game 2 the Rangers hit the post about three times and the cross bar probably twice. It goes both ways man... Also, Haglin, I believe, was standing right there undefended if Richards shot doesn't catch the post and go in. He's probably going to knock it in. It was a great game. Rangers were throwing pucks at the net all night, not really able to get anything to go. Holtsby played well, but I didn't really feel like he was the great. The Capitals had much fewer shots, but the looks they got were of a way better quality. This is such an even series. Capitals are tough when they get a lead, and so are the Rangers. I don't think there will be another come from behind win such as this in the series. If the Rangers fall behind late in the next two games, they may find themselves losing a close game 7.

yeah rich forever was insane, and even MMG features on the latest Jadakiss mixtape are crazy.

Yeah, seriously. It seems like they are on once a week Lol.

If there is seriously back to back's in the next round than that is ridiculous. The Knicks have gotten two days off (for the traveling mostly) a few times now. Game 3 was Thur, and Game 4 was Sun, both at MSG. Why? I understand the extra days rest or TV schedule, but that should not come at the expense of forcing back to back's in the next round...

B-Diddy - Partially torn patella, torn ACL/MCL
JYD replied to NomarFachix's topic in New York Knicks Team Forum
Yeah man Baron is a tough dude and played his heart out in the few months he was with the Knicks. He's always been one of my favorite players. Although it never really worked out with Baron as a Knick, he did give a great effort and you can't fault him for that. If anyone ever questions his commitment to basketball and fitness, he didn't know if he would be able to walk back in the beginning of December., and the Knicks took a chance on him. He played through some pain I'm sure, albeit ineffective at times on the court, you could never question his effort and Knick fans always appreciate that after many years of guys giving no effort. -
LOL @ anyone who actually believed that!!
-
yea well after listening one time through i can see why...this shit is one of the best releases of 2012!!!!
-
Derrick Rose is a rare case where I feel like his ACL tear and numerous other injuries along the way certainly were impacted by the shortened season and quick turnaround games. Mostly because of the way he plays Other than him, I just don't buy the rash of injuries because of the schedule.

Aight Meek I see u!!!

LeBron's response caught a lot of national media attention this week, and actually thought his assessment was spot on... "I don't think that's right to say," James said. "I'm not going to get involved in it. Every team works hard no matter if it's a lockout year or not. There's not much of a difference between 82 games and 66 games." I don't discredit the effort San Antonio had when they won it in '99 after the lockout," James said. "We all know Gregg Popovich is an unbelievable coach and Tim Duncan is an unbelievable player. It shouldn't matter. They won multiple (titles) after that so are we going to say that first one wasn't good enough? I don't think that's true at all." James said he believes the opposite is true. This has been a more difficult season than usual because of the demanding schedule and therefore the eventual champion would have had a more challenging road. "This is a tough season; this is a difficult season for everyone," James said. "This is the toughest season since my rookie year. This is very challenging to us mentally and physically."

Rangers need this game tonight. I think it'd be very difficult to win back to back games down 3-2 again. Already had to do that versus Ottawa, gotta take care of home ice tonight!

i have the mapquest app, it's decent (and talks to you) but like i said i use my phone a lot in the car for music (pandora and just the music that's on there) so using my phone as a GPS doesn't really make sense to me
-
i have an iphone, but i don't want to be looking at it or always having it occupied with an APP up while i'm driving. Lol
-
anyone know anything about GPS navigation units? Moving to Raleigh in a week, and am going to need one to get around. Lol. Headed to Best Buy tomorrow or Tuesday to purchase one. Not really looking to spend a lot on it...are the Garmins for like $100 bad? I don't even know the difference between them......
-
No, absolutely not. OT setup is better, although a lot of times lucky goals win it, but that's hockey anyway.

Awesoeme win man. That was a lot of fun to watch just because I was 9 the last time the Knicks won a playoff game. I barely remember it! Knicks have a chance in game 5, but I don't really see them winning. Even if Lin plays, how effective can he be? No game action in a month and a half and he has to go up in Miami against a top defensive team? Lol. That's brutally difficult. People are acting like it will be a seamless transition. He's probably better than what we have no that Davis suffered that horrific injuries (hope he'll be OK man that was awful) But still...I don't really see him being effective. Woodson deserves a lot of credit, drew up some great plays out of timeouts to counter the Heat. And on the officiating: it was awful almost the entire game. Knicks got some big calls, just as big as the Battier-three point call was the call on Wade when he was limping in the backcourt with 6 min left, and Melo got the ball on the fast break and it was a 3 point play. That was a terrible call. But the officiating was really bad back and forth. Some of the calls on Chandler were phantom fouls, where LeBron or whoever just fall over after the shot is released, and the official assumes since LBJ went to the ground, there must've been a ton of contact to have him fall, when in reality, it's a complete and utter flop. You never see Carmelo go to the ground when he drives. He's huge. No one is knocking him over. LeBron and Wade drop a lot to the ground on fouls, and they ain't being fouled harder than Melo. They are flopping.
