  1. No one is dumb enough to think that you can legislate every single incident. You can't, we get that man. But what we do have the ability to do is make them as rare as possible. These major national incidents are becoming way too common now over the past several years. Any type of weapon that can shoot a lot of people in very little time should not be made available to just any citizen. The guy from Aurora shot 70 people in the matter of minutes. If he had just a simple hand gun where he had to re-load, or as the founding fathers intended, if he had a god damn musket, he isn't shooting 70 people in the matter of minutes. You want to have a hand gun in your house because you feel safer? That's fine. I can understand that, and have no problem with that for self-defense or even if you are a hunter and have guns for that, or a sportsman. That's part of some people's hobby. But making guns more difficult to get into the hands of criminals and limiting high capacity magazine clips that can kill a lot of people in very little time (see Newtown), those need to be banned. And, to act like just because criminals get their hands on guns, we should do nothing .... that's like saying people will drink and drive, so we should not have any type of DUI laws in place. I'm pretty sure alcohol related accidents have dropped quite a bit since 1996. I don't have the statistics right in front of me, but I read about it several months ago that when stricter laws were enacted on Drinking and Driving, the amount of alcohol related auto deaths dropped quite a bit.
  2. http://jcolenation.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/124uf02.pngHe mad.
  3. The proposals were terrific. If the main idea is to help stop national gun tragedies such as Aurora or Netown, a lot of this stuff makes sense to me.
  4. I don't think he'll be a good NFL coach at all to be honest. I think his stuff worked well in College, but I don't see a lot of the gimmicky offensive plays working. Like, for example, will he go for 2 in the first quarter? Or will his entire personality/profile as a coach change? It'll certainly be interesting seeing how his teams play and what characteristics his NFL team takes on compared to the characteristics of his Oregon teams.
  5. Only because of injuries? Felton has been huge in what they were doing during the hot start.
  6. Interested in more on that. Do you have a source or is this just something you've 'heard' before?
  7. nah i'm not sayin that. the girls are the only thing that made the movie watchable. but what i am saying is they could've toned done some of the ridiculousness but it was expected going in lol.
  8. Did anyone actually think he was gonna be good? He couldn't even start for Cuse, how he gonna play in the nba?? Andddd the Cavs are terrible.
  9. That's not why. He's not going to shoot 50% for the year. LOL
  10. Just saw Project X. Shit was pretty much retarded for the most part. It started off fine, most it actually being somewhat realistic. Then it just took a ridiculous turn towards the middle of the movie. They really didn't need to make it THAT dramatic and absurd. First of all, there's not that many good looking girls in high school with figures like the movie ... lol there was like 200 girls there that looked like they were college or even in their mid 20's... like chicks in high school don't look like that. yeah there's some but not a ton of them in school. And just the entire scale of it was just way too unrealistic for me to even remotely enjoy the movie
  11. In defense of Lance: First, Every single person was doing them in the sport. It was pretty much the only way to compete. Secondly, he has done a ton of great things with his fame, so it's hard to get on him as much as I normally would. All he's done through the LiveStrong campaign has been terrific. Not shocked, but Still disappointing to hear though. I'll be honest, I actually was a believer that he never took them...He passed hundreds of drug tests (amazing to me) and is still going to admit he did it.
  12. They don't have average role players though. They have J.R. Smith, who has been the sixth man of the year and could start for almost any team and put up 20ppg, they have Raymond Felton, who has is playing at a borderline all-star level this season, they have a NBA HOF Vet in Jason Kidd, and one of the best Centers in the NBA in Tyson Chandler.
  13. Absolutely ... but ONLY if everyone else is healthy and Carmelo is playing out of his mind (30/7/45%FG/40%3PT FG).
  14. Him and White were pretty much the lone bright spots tonight. White definietly needs to play more. Gives them some more athleticism/quickness in the backcourt. I'm not sure why Brewer was phased out completely. He's been awful for like a month straight, but he at least gives you some defense...Knicks weren't playing any of it. And sometimes I feel like Woodson sticks with J.R. too long. Maybe the guy is tired? He comes off the bench and ends up playing like 40 MPG it seems like lmao...give the guy some rest when he doesn't have it going.
  15. Yeah, Kenyon Martin may not be a bad option. Don't know what he has left in the tank, but I'm willing to bet it's better than what we have now. Although, tbf, Kurt Thomas hasn't been bad at all. He's probably better than Amar'e at this point ... and it pains me to say that as Amar'e has always been one of my favorite players. Kidd just isn't an NBA point guard anymore. He's a 2-guard. He has doesn't have the speed/athleticism to play the opposing PG nor can he get into the paint and finish/pass with anything close to the ability Raymond Felton can.
  16. No, but really, all you do is post non-sense and all of a sudden you have some sort of interest in Knick games? Lol.
  17. Shaliq should be banned. Like iMan said, he's just trolling. It's become a joke. Anyway, the Knicks can't be taken seriously until Raymond Felton is playing. Felton's one of the tougher players but I can't believe he can't play right now with a broken pinkie. Even if he was 50% we would be competitive/winning these games. His absence is KILLING us
  18. Shaliq, I'm confident you could've stopped the Knicks offense last night.
  19. you can find plenty of RB's in FA or the last 2-3 rounds of the draft, no need to draft one anywhere remotely high. If Hixon wants 3m i guess it's a stretch, but we'll see. if he'd take like 1.5 or even 2m I'd probably keep him around They definitely need to get a serious MLB and a top notch CB. But really, the biggest key is getting the pass rush going again ... I'm not sure what happened in the last 7 games or so, but it was just awful.
  20. with the knicks losing Camby for most likely at least a few weeks, they really have no choice but to sign kenyon martin. amar'e stoudemire is awful at this point, let's just be honest. the guy just no longer has it. kurt thomas playing extended minutes is a joke. the team is terrible to watch without carmelo anthony and raymond felton, i can't want until felton is back, it's killing me lol they should just cut james white with shumpert on his way back. they don't even give the guy a chance anyway. he should've played last night.
  21. I think he carries a lot of value. Randle had a nice rookie season, but he seemed inconsistent. The Barden experience seems like a failure at this point, and so I think WR is a position you need to be deep at. With Nicks being injured all year (just wasn't the same player man) I think having 4 capable WR's is huge in the NFL ... plus, it's a passing league and giving more threats for Eli should only make him better.
